Game Performance degrades to multi-crashes after several hours.
Gyro replied to Spankahontis's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Check to see if SKSE's memory fix is actually enabled. https://forum.step-project.com/topic/6726-common-ctds-freezes-ils-and-memory-issues/?do=findComment&comment=108499 -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Gyro replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
I've actually seen instances where a similar issue is caused by Wet and Cold-scripted outdoor scenes only have one person present because workers stay out by default but townspeople go in. -

What kinds of things are you thinking of adding? -
I am aware, but a great deal of the work hunting down the 3.1 gigabyte crash occurred here, and there are people with quite a bit of technical know-how who might have some insight.

I also wonder if moving the thread to support might work to speed up the yays/nays, since that is where the more mechanically minded of us tend to congregate.

Hello, all! I seek understanding. ENBoost and its offspring seem to have largely put the texture/memory monsters to bed. It seems to me that the next (and perhaps, final?) major enemy of heavily modded games is the difficulty introduced by heavy scripting. Is it theoretically possible to work something similar to ENBoost with scripting? As I understand it (and that is admittedly little), ENBoost works by offloading some of the textures to enbhost.exe. Would it, in theory, be possible to do something similar with scripts, whether through SKSE or something else entirely? Merely curious, as I do not have the chops to do such a thing even if it were possible.

I am looking forward to trying these out on my Titan. :D

This is my believing you face.

sl1dememphis is in your base, watching you mod My Little Pony into Skyrim.

I run with Sennheiser HD 598s, which I enjoy a great deal. The bass is good, but not incredible; listening to dubstep might require a bit of EQ tuning. Also, you'll probably want to make sure you have a headphone amp. The large soundstage for the 598s is nice for Skyrim, and as an all-purpose set I've been very happy with them. Not exactly a budget item, but Sennheisers in general tend to be an awesome value proposition. In the absence of a drop in quality, I don't see myself buying any other brand of headphones.

Personally, I would use a box like that for a server or HTPC of some kind. I'd probably end up upgrading the RAM, though.

I suppose that makes this a rather salmon occasion.

I have my doubts about Elder Scrolls Online. It still looks like an Elder Scrolls paintjob over generic MMO mechanics. I have yet to see anything that makes it particularly compelling as a game, let alone compelling as an Elder Scrolls type RPG. By making it a subscription-based model, I feel like all they've done is make it a financial failure as well as a creative failure. We'll see, though; I'd love to be surprised.

Earlier post was asking a question that the OP already provided an answer to. Maybe I should learn to read! That being said, something is amiss. I didn't have anywhere near that kind of loading time on my last generation rig. Maybe you should see what happens when you've got other RAM in there? How about other games, do they also have reduced RAM load?

I use Dragon Shouts Overhaul. I also prefer to use de-leveling mods alongside mods that increase the power of the Daedric artifacts and other odds and ends that should really be more powerful given their lore (Don't even get me started on Gauldur's Amulet...or the White Phial). The upshot (well, for me) of this is that any enemy you encounter that can use Shouts is appropriately terrifying. Also, when you finally get access to shouts, it is a huge deal!

Good find! I look forward to trying it out.

CTD and Performance patch ENBoost (by Boris Vorontsov)
Gyro replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Another thing to test the limits of, I suppose! -
I don't suppose the possibility of it being a .NET issue would open up new avenues for possible fixes as well?

If I hadn't heard of Dwarf Fortress, I'd appreciate youtoo bringing it to my attention :D Knowing about the "Lazy Newb Pack" is also good. I've never been able to get into DF-mostly because of the lack of any kind of graphics (yes, I know there are graphic mods, but still...) Maybe I'll try it with the Lazy Newb Pack.

ACCEPTED Alternate Start - Live Another Life by Arthmoor
Gyro replied to youtoo's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Alternate Beginnings is, I believe, incompatible with the STEP mandate of no gameplay changes. That being said, it is included in STEP Revisited by Neovalen. -
bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1 tweak

Possibly by looking at Skyrim memory use after a transition from an interior cell to an exterior cell under both cases? -
bPreemptivelyUnloadCells=1 tweak

I've seen it being thrown around on the Nexus forums; supposedly you can add it to skyrim.ini under [General] and it will pop loaded cells out faster than it would otherwise, thereby freeing up more RAM. So instead of keeping that building you just left loaded up after you jump into Markarth, it unloads it straightaway. In theory, anyway.
