Sir, I will have you know that with every DLC release Bethesda has sent a elite team of mercenaries to my house. This team then proceeds to hold me at gunpoint until I have played, finished and enjoyed every single release ;) In all seriousness, I just think it would be nice to see what their roadmap is so I can say, "Yes, this is when I plan to spend a week putting everything together." I've not actually played any DLC yet; I've been sitting back and waiting to see when it might be best to take the plunge... For all intents and purposes, "But I hate waiting, whine whine whine" ;D

I wish they would at least let us know what the plan was. It's hard to convince myself to get back into it if every DLC means all the mods I'll be using need to update, possibly knocking some mods aside, necessitating a clean save, etc. etc....

Maybe it's a GOTY edition?

To be fair, U.S. trademark law is borked. Â One of the reasons organizations are so trigger-happy with trademark is because if you are not aggressively defending it all the time forever you can lose your claim fairly easily if someone wants to take it. That being said, I believe there have been examples of corporations being able to work with folks in the past, so there is probably some degree of dickery still going on here.

Personally, I just turn off DoF in the ini file. Â If you want to keep it, you can just disable it, do character creation, then save, quit and re-enable it afterwards.

Have you tried using Ultimate Follower Overhaul + Specialized Followers?Â

That's the one. Castle Strunmah has potential as a player home. There's also Castle Grey and Castle Dar Khuun, but all of them are only player homes with no castle management whatsoever. There was that tower defense mod too. Didn't know about Castle Dar Khuun. Â Thanks!

There's only one that I know of, and it is still fairly rough: Become King of Riverhelm. Â If you know of any others, I would be extremely interested.

You know, I would go ahead and pay 20$ for DLC...if they were using the DLC to add some really compelling quests with significant choices and impact. Â The only real choice you get in vanilla Skyrim is the Civil War, and the only major repercussion is mostly cosmetic. Â

I have a similar problem.

It appears to be intermittent. Â They are likely still sorting out the issues from the Dawnguard release and their partial deployment of their new downloading framework. Diversification from Nexus would be great for redundancies, but fragmentation also has some drawbacks (for instance, having multiple sites to check could discourage some of the more casual modders). Â Of course, there's also the issue of infrastructure; I don't know that any other sites have a comparable backbone, and as we just saw even a robust site like Nexus can be knocked around by the size of the community.

I'm not sure I can give you much of an answer, myself. Â Different strokes for different folks? Maybe as Skyproc moves along we'll be able to have NPCs of all shapes and sizes cavorting about the landscape. Â I mean, given the popularity of sweet rolls it's hard to imagine everyone staying skinny ;)

Thanks for the tips! Â I'm removing More Dynamic Injuries from my list. Â I will also make a note not to include Ars Metallica; I think I'll go with CCO instead (for now, anyways!). Â I'm also adding Immersive Armors. Â I don't want to disable boss draugr disarm shouts, so I'll leave LSB Battlehammers for now. Â I do love me some warhammers, though, so perhaps that will get fixed in the future... Automatic Variants is intriguing, but I'll probably wait a bit to see what kinds of combinations people are suggesting. Â I initially discounted Amethyst Hollows because of its 'dreamworld' position (the implication seemed to be that it is in your head and not some kind of pocket dimensions), but I suppose there's no harm in adding it and seeing how it pans out :D
