  1. Seems a bit too trivial to make a whole thread about this but I can't think of posting it in any other already existing topic. Anyway, I ran across this odd set of stairs (0300403c) which aren't correctly placed. Had to disable the stone floor to get back to the other side cause otherwise you can't jump in or anything like that.   2. Skyrim Landscape Overhaul From the mod's page: Overhauls the detail and number of static items in the world to give a more 3d and realistic feeling to the game. I also fixed some bugs while I was doing this such as fixing wrong placements of object and putting the correct one back in. Haven't tried it myself but perhaps it could be a candidate for REGS. Anyone here tried it yet?

  4. And you've installed no other mods? Hmm.. strange.. When I had this issue, or as Kulde so rightly put, time-honored Skyrim issue, it was because of Touring Carriages.. Perhaps if you enable Papyrus just while you solve this out and post your log here as Spoiler (under Special BBCode), someone knowledgable might jump in..
  5. You use MO but you have the ini and dll directly in the Skyim/Data/SKSE/Plugins folder? As this is inside the Data folder, it can also be handled by MO and it's virtual Data folder, just install it as any other mod you install through MO.
  6. RWT also makes ships bobble, although there's still clipping issues. Incidentally, and I hope I'm not hated for this, even though RBB is a very cool mod and I plan on using it, I don't actually get what it has to do with being an explorer tbh.. It should probably be in STEP Extended under fixes, but I find it's inclusion in REGS a bit curious. It's listed as an Enhancement mod, so I guess that's fair enough. Again, nothing against Gandaganza or his mod of course!

Thanks again CJ. Jeez.. EDIT: How do you guys feel about the Ysgramor statue from DoWindhlem? I personally feel that while it's awesome on its own, I think it takes a lot of the magic away from that impressive entrance by BCE. I'm very tempted to just markfordelete it. It sort of makes it very repetitive to have two Ysgramor statues in Windhelm and one in Whiterun, doesn't it?

I recently tweaked my VideoMemorySizeMb in enblocal.ini to be the same as my VRAM (1024) after reading a post by keith (or Kuldebar?) instead of the RAM + VRAM - 2048 formula and I disabled Papyrus logging in the skyrim.ini file as well and the result was that even though my FPS didn't really improved much, stuttering reduced very significantly for me. So, as I had to go back to the Riften area once again, I decided to give DoR another go. But ..sigh.. I guess it's just not meant to be. VM completely freezes after just a short while. I was very disheartened by this but as my journey lead me to Solstheim and I have to go through Windhelm, obviously, I installed DoW without giving myself high hopes. To my great surprise, it barely made any performance impact, and the additions are very nice and blend in seamlessly. As a side note, the entrance by BCE is just absolutely fantastic. Ysgramor's statue standing tall, imposing and magnificent against a fiery snow storm just gives so much depth to the level of immersion in-game. I will make a suggestion to the author to have perhaps a larger than normal statue of the Dwarven Centurion from the loading screens in Markarth. Once in Solstheim I noticed that a couple of things weren't as they should. I've checked and as it's not apparent to me where I messed up in the installation process, I am asking here for help. I ran across these missing textures of the banners and a cloth of some sort, as well as the dress on this very hot Dunmer I've never seen before, so I assume it's from RRE, as well. Also, in the first ss, you can see that the top of the em.. fence? (I do not know the word for this in English) is messed up as well. This is not caused by RRE, I've had this for a while but haven't asked about it, if anyone here knows what texture belongs there, I'd appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!
  9. Why is Moonpath to Elsweyr not in REGS? I'm just curious, I wouldn't install it on this playthrough, I'm saving for my Khajit character but I just was wondering why it isn't included, is there anything wrong with the mod?
  10. Thanks for your very detailed and informative post, alt. As well as for expanding my understanding of how modding works. I've been modding Skyrim for a while now so I do understand how mod managing should be, I've come a long way since using NMM and I too find it very strange how guys like Gopher still advocate and endorse this tool to his audience, making people believe it's as simple as click click and that's it. But, my real lack of understanding comes from not being a mod author myself, alt. I consider myself to be an experienced mod user but as I am not a texture artist, nor a script modder or any of that, then naturally my lack of knowledge comes from not using the tools mod authors use. Perhaps one day I'll have time and patience to educate myself with these tools but at the moment it's just not possible. Thanks again for your effort put into giving a good and educated response.   11. Yeah, or maybe I'll just use the Battles esp from 1.7.6. I'm checking out that Companions mod as well, no question! What's your opinion (everyone) on PLRP btw? Does it really add that much to your game? These adventurers and mercenaries wandering around they are cool, no doubt, but in comparison with Radiance, Random Encounters, etc, would you guys delete it from your load order? I'm a bit undecided myself..
  12. Yep, my bad. ETaC has been such a major addition to my game. I really, really like it. Just been to Rorikstead and all I gotta say is daaamn bro. Hopefully Falkreath won't take too long to rebuild cause I never got to go when the 9.2 version was out. Anyway, I am installing DBS for the mo' just because I'm planning on installing other quest mods before I get anywhere near the FAtT mods.
  13. OK so I've just played with ASIS for about 3 hours and I'm at a point where I can go back to my save before installing it, or keep going. I ran into one of those Immersive Battles when entering Rorikstead (which looks awesome with ETaC!), which now seem to have much more soldiers on this 1.7.7v compared to the 1.7.6v I was using and so I got to see ASIS in action: guys talking potions, etc. I got the dreaded "Your game's script system is running to slowly" one time, and things didn't get better when a dragon showed up and joined the party. To be fair, I think I would have gotten the message even without running ASIS, the battle was so massive.. But mid battle with the dragon VM completely froze and I had to do it all over again, only to VM freezing again only I'd quicksaved so it wasn't completely lost. Anyway, got through it. When the battle was over, there were various traveling merchants and guys from PLRP, just standing there, doing nothing, perhaps their AI had stopped working? After going inside a building and outside things sort of got back to normal.. Question is: can my system handle ASIS? Or the new Immersive Battles doubled up? If IB is the problem, perhaps I can edit the esp with T5E, only need some guidance since I don't want to mess it up. Any feedback?
  14. Sorry alt, I wasn't referring to your mod not having female/male folders but the armors you link to (UNP Female Armors, UNP DG, UNP DB) which don't use separate female/male folders. I was joking when I said that males would be running around using the nif files for these armors if I use those mods. That's why I asked how it works, because I don't really know anything about Nifscope (I'm guessing) and if that is how the nifs are flagged to only be used by females. aMiddianborn Book of Silence also has nif files for bladesarmorf_0 and bladesarmorf_1, as well as dds files for banditf and f_n, which I've kept for the time being instead of the ones used by UNP armors, solely because Khrajo is currently using my Blades armor haha. Now that I've written all these, I realize that the f at the end of the files very likely stands for female, right? Sorry for wasting your time but congrats on the awesome work alt!
  15. I could be off but, I think you are supposed to extract bsa files if you are merging plugins that use them. MO already has a built in bsa extraction method. Click on Archives, select the bsa you wish to extract, right click, extract..

  17. Yeah, everything's working fine now with the new update. I had ETaC's 9.2 packages on Downloads tab as hidden and that's how I reinstalled it. I guess the packaging was off for the No Inns version, then? Glad to see that ovens are still there, I take it this is Nernie's magic? Only thing that seems strange is the inside doors don't match the outside doors, but that really is just nitpicking. Hmm can someone remind me why is the No Inns version used? I completely forgot lol. Also, since FAtT II isn't going to be used, then ETAC's Dragon Bridge South could be implemented...
  18. Yeah, makes perfect sense, phazer. However, I would underline the point about having too many mods and running AV together potentially being too much, which would apply to your case, Eplebit. I have currently 140 esps, I think, and I'm merging a few "simple" ones to trim it down a little and I run AV without any issues. But I would recommend you listen to these guys, Eplebit, they are much wiser than I am. Still, I rather love AV too much not to use it (or recommend it).
  19. So, is this your first playthrough? I'll say this: quest mods are awesome, they will definitely make your Skyrim more varied, etc but really, Skyrim is already huge, I've done several playthroughs and I've still yet to finish some factions and I don't even know how many side quests.. I think revamp the combat and that sort of thing to get a better experience. Add the CORE and Extended STEP recommendations, and you'll have already massively improved the vanilla game. Frostfall is absolutely essential if you're into immersion, etc. (I know you already have installed it) and add the other quests later on, once you are absolutely sure you have a stable game. If you run into a problem early on with so many mods and very script heavy and unpredictable ones such as CWO, how are you going to know where to begin troubleshooting? This is assuming you are not an expert modder, of course. I'm just saying it could be daunting, looking at your load order. @Kelmych: You really think AV, is script heavy? From my experience mods like Wet n' Cold, Birds of Skyrim, Footprints, etc all create much more script lag.This, I repeat, has been my own experience. WnC, is quite awesome, but Frostfall already borrows some of its features, so I had to let that one go.. It's a matter of preference as well, as I say, I just can't stand walking into a pack of 4-6 exact replicas of the same wolf.

  21. So, just installed ASIS and re-merged the HLE Hardcore module. I just ticked the perk, spells, potions and AI modules for ASIS, don't really understand what GMST's are and don't know how to balance the spawning system for my system.. I am installing Radiance as well but wanted to know if you guys think it'd be a candidate to merge with other "small" mods, I mean, it doesn't seem like it's going to be updated anytime soon, so.. And I'll probably end up installing Random Encounters as well, it does sound super awesome but, will Immersive Patrols' werewolves and vampires be affected by the Immersive Preset? That'd be cool. I'll first test the IP new merged esp, which I also just installed, been using the separate modules because I didn't realize the reason why it wouldn't let me load it was Automatic Variants. :: Perhaps PLaRP can be ditched, thing is all these mercenaries and bounty hunters and riding knights who don't actually get of their horses to fight and prefer getting killed while mounted.. they don't actually do much, do they? Only help me out whenever they happen to be in the area if I'm getting attacked. I do like them, they do add a little life into the game but perhaps if I use Radiance and Random Encounters, it'll just be too much spawns for my system to load without huge un-immersive popping-ins. We'll see...
  22. But I made absolutely sure when reinstalling ETaC to pick the No Inns version. I'll install everything again, as well as the patches for ETaC.. EDIT: Nope, I just installed everything again from ETaC and its patches No-Inns version and it's still the same. Either ETaC was incorrectly packed the No-Inns folders or some of the REGS patches has something to do with it. Or I'm just plain stupid.. probably the latter but, can anyone using the no-inns version verify in-game that this is not happening to you as well? It's at the inn in Dawnstar. Thanks.
  23. Well, first, good look running all those mods at the beginning of the game. I suggest you activate them after the intro sequence. Second, there are various warnings from BOSS which you should definitely take care of. Also what mod manager are you using? You could trim your load order further by merging stuff like the SMIM esps and Beards, Brows, that sort of stuff. Also, and this is a mod I cannot possibly play without: Automatic Variants! I admit I cannot run around Skyrim if all wolves look the same since I first installed AV. Again, good luck!
  24. Hey skaryzgik, welcome! So, about packs, it depends entirely on the user to use every mod installed in a pack or not, use whatever fits your style, mish mash everything that suits your fancy, in my (albeit, limited) experience with these packs, REGS core files are excellent additions to the game but I have yet to use any of the quest related mods it advocates. And I use HLE and Duel but didn't know about other mods that enhance the combat experience of the game. Hope you stick around!
  25. OK I reinstalled ETaC completely, don't know where I messed up but I could enter the inn normally, only to realize that there was a fountain mashed up with the inn's counter. Figured ELFX had something to do so I reinstalled ELFX, no exteriors this time and sure enough, there's a No Taverns esp. But why is there an ELFX patch for RRR if there's a No Taverns esp from ELFX? Do I need to use both? And while I'm at it, which of these esps would be safe to merge together? Are the DG and DB patches for ELFX safe to merge with ELFX, or the RRR-ELFX with the No Taverns? EDIT: Installed No Tavers by ELFX, problem is still there. Here's what I'm getting. Am I missing any patches?
