Here's my mod list. https://pastebin.com/sG9Pi52g I still haven't got around to editing the esp, not sure when i'll get around to it. He has a pretty small modlist, everything that we are both running I haven't changed in my mod load order for at least a month. This issue popped up recently on a new playthrough after updating DynDOLOD. Sheson, just to confirm if you go to Riften and zone in and out of a builidng 10 times or so times, it never crashes?

Sounds like the exact same thing i am experiencing, as well as ~2 other people over on the Lexi LOTD thread. I have tried default texgen/dyndolod settings, but loading the world results in random CTD. I've noticed it after death, when the game attempts to reload, and after leaving any building especially in the Riften area. Leaving Falkreath Inn is actually what I was using to test for the CTD before figuring out which mod was causing it. I never had this problem with (mostly) the same mod load order until I updated DynDOLOD this week. First, I am going to see if it happens with no mods. If it doesn't, I'll try messing around with editing the ESP when I get a chance. I really can't play anymore without DynDOLOD so I really hope we can narrow this down...

Screen fades to black but crashes before I even see the loading screen. It's pretty much as soon as the game attempts to load the outside world.

Sorry, it only happens when exiting buildings. Disabling the .esp and the problem stops. I manually checked "enabled DynDOLOD" in MCM, but I keep getting a message in the corner saying the .esp is missing. I assume this means it's not one of the meshes because they are still loaded? The crash happens ~80% of the time when leaving Haelga's Bunkhouse in Riften. Though, I've had various crashes througout the world when exiting buildings. It didn't always do this, started around beta 2.38/2.39.

I normally left that at the default (256) and never had issues with DynDOLOD causing CTDs. I changed it to 512 recently, so I will try setting it back to 256. I have my doubts though, I have 12GB of VRAM so I have no idea why that setting would cause CTDs on an extremely high end PC. My VRAM usage is 7/12GB in Riften.

Thanks. Never had to do this before, is there a tool you'd suggest? This makes me think that it's either a mod suggested in the guide, or infact a DynDOLOD problem. Do you remember what settings you adjusted? I Ran the guide's suggested settings but choose the high preset. I have 12GB Titan XP so definitely not a VRAM problem.

Entering/exiting buildings results in a very high chance of CTD in Riften with DynDOLOD enabled for me. High preset with some options checked ""Candles" and "FXGlow". "Generate static LOD", "Generate DynDOLOD" "Windows", "High", "Fake lights in child worlds" "Create texture atlas". Someone else reported it here, and sadly I am seeing the same: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/13092-lexys-legacy-of-the-dragonborn-special-edition/?p=224597 The exact settings this guide uses are here: https://wiki.step-project.com/User:DarkladyLexy/Lexys_LOTD_SE_Finishing_Line (I did not disable tree LOD or use ultra trees, so that's not the cause)

Any idea why I am getting missing textures with Object LOD checked? https://i.imgur.com/HrJaRtL.jpg

Yeah, honestly I am just going to remove it completely and restart again. When someone like you says it has problems, I trust it. I also found a post saying the "CTD after death" bug was caused by SIC. I just want to play the game at this point and this mod seems a bit unstable. So far I haven't had a CTD after removing it and using xLODGEN for all LOD generation.

I restarted after updating/changing a few mods, including DynDOLOD, and I get CTDs all the time now. At first I thought it was Immersive Creature's extra spawns because there are some complaints of that on Nexus. It usually happens when exploring, zoning out of buildings into an exterior cell, or loading right after dying. Seems like something in exterior cells is causing random crashes. I love what xLODGEN/DynDOLOD does, but I am going to remove them and see if it fixes the issue. May just have to ditch DynDOLOD and use xLODGEN for everything. I don't use Ultra Trees anyway.

I am getting a weird glitch looking out over the ocean by Dawnstar. Basically, missing LOD textures. If I disable xLODGEN it goes away. I realized that I never actually downloaded and enabled the SSE-Terrain-Tamriel.esm file as the guide suggested. Is that what this file fixes? I am actually getting random CTDs and I want to blame Immersive Creatures. Wasn't aware of a corrupt NIF on the spider, but I see many CTD complaints on the Nexus. The guide wants you to set it to "Purist - No Spider", but I left everything enabled as preference. Wonder if that's the cause of my CTDs...

There are duplicate "Pale Pass" and "Dayspring Pass" map markers due to having Map Markers Complete, Beyond Skyrim - Bruma, and Immersive Dawnguard Dayspring Pass installed. Fix: Open Map Markers Complete.esp in SSEEdit. Delete references xx009558, xx009559, and xx00B076. (xx should be 03 if you only loaded Map Markers Complete.esp) I use https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/10942/?tab=logs&navtag=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrimspecialedition%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D10942%26preview%3D1

Alright, I got full trees to work with Bruma but had to remove it from the DynDOLOD exclusion list like you said. I still however cannot get xLODGEN to work properly with Bruma. There's missing terrain (see screenshot above). I am using the latest version with the settings suggested in guide. Happens with and without DynDOLOD.
-
Can't figure this out. I ended up trying both ways, and both resulted in the same thing. https://i.imgur.com/VRCI9CM.jpg No full trees in Bruma, and the terrain LOD generation is messed up. I can fix the missing terrain by disabling my xLODGEN output, so it seems we need to ignore the bruma world in xLODGEN too? However, I still don't get full trees in Bruma.
-
I'm still a bit confused about Bruma and DynDOLOD. The latest DynDOLOD exludes bruma by default, but the guide hasn't been updated to reflect that yet. Do we want to just keep it excluded or do we want to include it and then delete the object data folder after? Do you still get full tree fallback if you ignore the Bruma world? Thanks.

I've messed my settings up while testing something and nothing I try allows me to revert to default settings. I've looked everywhere for a settings file to delete, reinstalled the program to a different directory, etc. Help? :(
