  1. Gonna get complicated fast trying to make different setups for slower/faster computers. Better to just learn modding and make the adjustments yourself. Most things that effect FPS don't even have ESPs so they can be freely installed/uninstalled. If you have 4K or a weaker GPU, get rid of the ENB and/or Ultra Trees. For higher end GPUs with more VRAM, download 4K textures instead of 2K textures. Personally I think 4K textures (in most cases) are a waste even on my 12GB Titan XP that handles them no problem.. A guard fully decked out in 4K armor looks nice, but by comparison it makes the other NPCs in 2K armor next to him stand out. Consistency is important, so I choose to install 2K textures unless it's a big object. I asked same question yesterday, just ignore it. (I think maybe a note should be made this is gonna get asked a lot)
  2. If it's true that 4096+ loaded cells causes issues, what are we going to do when all of Beyond Skyrim is released? Play them in sections and restart after each one? :( If it's a problem, hopefully someone will find a solution. That looks promising, bookmarked it in case it happens to me.
  3. Interesting. So Maybe being able to reach level 20 faster is a good thing because it opens up more content when things are deleveled. I am worried about overleveling because in vanilla (or even a lot of modded plathroughs) after you get to about 50 or so stuff becomes pretty easy even on Legendary. By the time you are 100, you are a god. With OMEGA/MLU/etc, is this still a problem? What's this pack like at level 100+? With experience mod default settings + experience with kill XP enabled + the guide's recommended uncapper (shouldn't matter?), how is the overall XP compared to vanilla? In vanilla I would reach level 50 before even doing a fraction of vanilla only content. It was absurdly too fast for my tastes. In the past I have use a no pain no gain uncapper preset and after about 30 hours I'd be level 15-20 (but this obviously is too aggressive when things are deleveled). Yeah please give your impressions, I'll be starting a new playthrough soon. I expect it will not slow down enough... S&S drastically lowers XP in those higher levels.. it will be overall much faster than the default curve. Im leaning towards using the "Slow Down" preset which basically just makes 1-20 longer but only by about 50%, the rest is pretty close to default.
  4. I fixed him by talking to him, recruiting him, asking to change his armor, selecting "normal outfit" or whatever, then exiting the menu. Soon as I exited the dialog he went back to wearing Steel Armor. Still shouldn't be happening, I wonder if it's a iNPC bug.
  5. For testing I halved the XP values across the board evenly and enabling kill XP with only a 0.1 multiplier. The XP seemed very, very fast but I now realize that's because the leveling curve ramps up. I plan to do everything (200+ hours) on a single character and I don't want to end up at level 300 by the end. I've also added Wyrmstooth, Wheels of Lull, Darkened, and Clockwork so the amount of quests and locations in my game is huge. I'm thinking it might be best to install a mod like Level Rate Rebalance with the "slow and steady" preset. This makes all levels take about the same amount of XP, then just slow down the values across the board to offset for the higher levels taking less XP. Alternatively, keep the default values and use the "slow down" preset which significantly slows down 1-20 but leaves 20+ relatively untouched. I feel 1-20 is way too fast using experience mod's default values. Pale Pass (there's two right on top of each other because bruma adds it too) and the default dawnguard cave location (it's a little north to the entrance immersive dawnguard entrance adds).
  6. Seems Gorr (Interesting NPCs) is butt naked. He just walks around Riverwood with his thing flopping everywhere, lol. Might be a conflict somewhere.
  7. If you updated your game and didn't download the old SKSE versions of mods that that guide lists you probably have many more issues than that going on. In the future, when updates like this happen you want to roll back skyrim EXE and download the older versions of SKSE mods designed for the version you are using. In this case, the guide currently uses Skyrim 1.5.50 (SKSE 2.0.8). I can't imagine it will be more than a few more days before mods update and the guide gets update though.
  8. Since experience mod is being added soon, can you share the XP preset the guide will use? Default speed will level way too fast with this much content + exploration markers. Hoping someone did the math on what kind of XP gains we want with this many mods, i'd really like to dive into playing today. It's setup and I was going to start today until I saw experience mod was getting added soon. Not really a mod you want to add mid playthrough, so just waiting for the guide to update. I have teleported around the world and didn't see any issues on the surface.
  9. You are correct sir, just installed it and realized that. Probably best to enable this after finishing the Helgen Reborn startup and enabling Frostfall too. I was level 5 by the time I just did that and left alternate start! I'd bet with this many mods + more map markers, we'd probably want to 1/2 the XP at a minimum, maybe even 1/4 or more... Also, what discord section is the optimized textures ESP under?
  10. Hey Lexy, I saw you moved "Experience" to "To be added". Seeing as I am just about to start a new playthrough, I'd really like to add this now. Any tweaks we need to apply or changes to uncapper? Do we want to enable kill XP? It also says you should enable it after finishing alternate start startup, not sure how to handle that without not including it in bash/smash patches.
  11. Enable all ESPs, I actually had that bug too.
  12. Enable the stuff you've installed so far. The installers can't see XPMSSE until you check it in the left side of MO2.
  13. I am not really sure what it was, but it was related to the winterhold statue. I got it to work without CTD but there was no snow on the statue despite changing the filenames. If I reinstalled no snow under the roof stock meshes, it conflicted so they were definitely named right. I am personally not a fan of stunning statues of skyrim mod. I just removed it and used the 4K statues in Skyrim Revamped Assets (Ultra) instead (mesh opt required). IMO they are much better and you get no snow under the roof meshes on them without having to dabble into renaming files. Have to delete the talos mesh to get the LeanWolf's version though. Bashing is always one of the final steps of skyrim modding.
  14. Did some initial testing by fast traveling to all the major cities and looking around, however whenever I get near Winterhold/College of Winterhold I CTD 100% of the time. First I thought I got the stunning statues meshes wrong, but I disabled that and no snow under the roof and it still happens. Also tried disabling DynDOLOD. Disabling all ESPs and leaving everything checked on the left and it doesn't CTD anymore. What ESP could it possibly be?
  15. There is a minor bug with duplicate map markers on the map. Pale Pass and the dawnguard entrance that is moved. Fix: Open Map Markers Complete.esp in SSEEdit. Delete references xx009558, xx009559, xx00B076, and xx00B077. ------ Finally, after what seems like 40 hours, my game is ready to play. After such a long and detailed guide it's hard to think there wasn't a single time I missed something though... haha! Thanks again for putting this all together. Too bad even on a 1080Ti I can't run an ENB at 4K, the performance version is 30-40 FPS in forests. 60FPS everywhere without it. 4 times the pixels over 1080p is no joke when it comes to ENBs!
  16. Just a small correction since it won't let me edit anymore. I was mistaken NPC Retexture Merge is loading after specialeditionfollowers.esp for me.
  17. Janessa does not have a black face for me and I set this guide up yesterday (used all the optional). If you use the NPC retexture merge, none of the NPC mods are optional. Black face is almost always a load order issue so either probably a incorrect LOOT rule, incorrect group setup, or a new rule needs to be made somewhere. For the record, I have NPC Retexture Merge SSE loading before specialeditionfollowers.esp, so if you had to move that down to fix certain NPCs black faces chances are the issue is something else.
  18. Nevermind second times the charm apparently, DynDOLOD successfully completed. I was looking at the suggested mod list and saw Wyrmstooth and Wheels of Lull are on the testing bench (yay!). Is there an ETA on these? I don't like touching mods on an existing save and might want to wait a bit. Also, how is the XP rate with the selected OMEGA uncapper preset? Would it be wise to select the 50% slower XP preset if I plan on doing ALL content on a single character? I am not sure what to expect when it comes to MLU/OMEGA/ETC, but in my less modded playthroughs I always seem to level way too fast and get OP before I touch most content.
  19. From scratch build using the latest guide, DynDOLOD is freezing on CLARALUX world. I wonder if it's due to switching over to the MCM version without the door. Is there any reason to even generate that world?
  20. The left hand looks right, the .ESP load order is different. I assume that's because 90% of them don't conflict so loot sorts them in the order they were enabled/disabled.
  21. Alright i've done everything to the book with no alterations, finally got the game launched and started testing. Nearly there. A few questions and concerns. - YOT - Andromeda.esp still giving me errors when trying to merge, updated version or not. I just told it to ignore them but I'd like to be sure.... - When I run Wyre Bash, I don't see any mods that state [NoMerge], so I just click OK. Is that normal? After running Wyre Bash MO2 unchecks 20-30 mods. Do I leave these unchecked forever? - If I view Lexy's load order it is very different than my own even though I have all the LOOT rules in place. Should I go through and match her load order exactly? - TMB Vanilla is causing nipples to show on certain NPCs while clothed. For example, Jenassa and Toccata follower in Whiterun both have nipples showing. It's kinda immersion breaking... Is this normal? - Anyone have link to Wyre Bash discord server so I can get the version that allows the "stats" bash tag or am I safe to skip that for the CACO merge? - Is there a setting somewhere that will brighten interiors a bit? - When I update a mod or change something for personal taste, should I do the entire bash/smash/zpatch/relinker/xlodgen/texgen/dyndolod process all over again? Thanks!
  22. OMEGA adds that and honestly, it's pretty great IMO. Stamina management outside of combat was never fun for me.
  23. Sadly, the merge error still happens with the updated esp too. What is the Wyre Bash discord server? Can't find it anywhere.
  24. Facepalm. I fixed the LOOT sorting issue (need to get to bed). Still need help with the above 2 issues.
  25. Getting YOT - Andromeda.esp errors when trying to merge YOT? Ignore, attempt to fix? Also how do you set the "Stat" bash for OMEGA CACO Merge? I don't see it in Wyre Bash using the version used in the guide. ----------------------- Checking for errors in YOT - Andromeda.esp Aur_ThiefStone_Message_ThiefsPath "Thief's Path" [MESG:10000A41] MESG \ Menu Buttons \ Menu Button \ Conditions \ Condition \ CTDA -
