  1. Greetings. Set the brightness slider to middle position in skyrim. Also check your skyrimprefs.ini has a gamma of 1.0 If its still too dark for your taste, you can either check out the Skyrim prefs that are delivered in the optional files, or you can increase the lighting intensity with the help of the customation textfile that is included. The final ENB also got a bit revamped interior. Maybe that already helps.
  2. Allright my friends, Vividian ENB 5.0 is out! [video=youtube] It was a great amount of work which is not quite done but that work never is :D Please have a look and tell me what you think.
  3. Beta2 is available now! Thanks so far for all the hints! 5.00 beta2- Added Nighteye settings. They are disabled by default to save extra computing time for people who do not need them.If you want to use them open up the enb settings (Shift+enter) and enable nighteye at the enbeffects.fx tab. Those settings will apply as soon you enable the nighteye / nightvision ability.- Enhanced a bunch of weathers by their atmosphere- Tweaked general performance settings for more FPS- Added more bloom and Bloom contrast to day/night/interiror.- Tweaked Pointlight intensity on bad weathers
  4. Ofcourse it will, theres still a bit of work to be done ith the beta anyway :)
  5. Vividian 5.0 Official Beta is out now in the beta files! Please take your time and test it if you like. This version can be seen as complete overaul because alot of stuff changed and for me i must say in a good way. If you test this, we sure would like to know what you think of it. Especially if you encounter any problems like shadow striping or Black fogs or other strange stuff like that. But, Informations like "the sky is more blue than before" are not really what we are looking for as bug report though. As we changed the whole color correction and enb coloring stuff it simply looks different now. Mostly because the overall Pink/purple tint only affects the middletones where they actually should affect. As a result white is now white and not light purple white. Changelog: 5.00beta Changed: Everything....no seriously we changed every single setting with this enb and basicly built it up from its roots: - If you are using LANTERNS OF SKYRIM please use the updated Vividian Preset that is deliverd with this Beta version - Moved to a new coloring system by replacing the enbeffect.fx file with one by Prod80. - moved the whole color correction to the enbpalette.tga file, that means: * the overall Violet/Purple/pink tone covering the whole picture is gone now. Now it only affects the tones that are important that means -> White is Actually White and Black is black. So no more purple snow, waterfalls and particles + more smooth color gradients - Enabled Fix wrong sky math option by default. As a result the skys are now more color friendly and effectfull. - Cleaned up the Climates of Tamriel weathers and grouped them according to their behaviours. - Enhanced the nights, sunsets, sunrise, Daytime and interior environment massivley. - Enhanced Depth of Field for better ingame behaviour - added a Torches Fix for all Torches so their intensity meet the our new Lighting intensity.
  6. Greetings Everyone The development of the new Vividian 5.x is progressing verry well and very soon there will be a public Beta for you to test out. Till then i decided to provide some teaser shots for you :)
  7. Just stubled across this topic. To make it easier for Mod organizer users i added the Sun texture replacement also in the Extended Weathers as an install option. Ill have a look though if i can make a All in One installer for the next big release.
  8. Yes Water is a real bummer as Ambient Ocllusion as well (although its already quiet speey with Vividian). DoF also drains a bit. What i would not recommend is disabling the volumetrc rays, those effects just look too awsome and are a very good way to have awsome gradients from the sun on the sky, especially on sunset scenes so you most likley break your atmosphere a bit if you disable them. There are options that are often essencial for a ENB like, Bloom, Mist, Sunrays, Sunglare,Skylighting, volumetric rays, Procedual Sun and mist.
  9. @statmonster Thanks! Yes the Interriors are set that way that you can basicly run trought without a Torch if theres proper lighting and will need one if there are no or poor lights at all. Oh an just make sure you do not use the Enhancer of ELFX, it makes shaodws damn dark. Never noticed this sun problem though. Maybe because i play at a timescale of 5. Skyrim days are just too short for me wich makes the sun also move slower :)
  10. I think this problem has mostly something todo with a wrong adaptation time in the Adaptation settings. Would be worth a try to disable it for testing purposes in the ENB menu.
  11. I would not recommend Optimus fix. It is ages old and you wil loose alot of effects with it. People reported that using the Injector version instead of the Wrapper one solved their non recognised Graphics adapters.
  12. @statmonster The DoF is quiet Sutle and only appears when focusing stuff nearby you. Yes its a matter of taste and quiet ok if you disable it ;) @red yes we tryd to find a solution between cristal Clear and total muddyness. So many watermods out there wich are hard to cover so its also a matter of taste. Some people really like Crystal clear waters, others find them unrealistic. Awww.. too bad, Guinnes isnt inofficially allowed in germany, so i stay with mead :D Cheers
  13. There also could be differences because the normal version got most fancy Water effects disabled because of performance reasons. The High Quality version uses almost all ENB water effects. I think it looks great as it is at the moment. I use Water Two wich is more green than blue btw. Always a desission of taste, and my taste says i prefer Mead over water! :D
  14. indeed :) @z even though theres now a new Release 4.10 its not the one i have talked about a few posts back. We decided to spend more time in the new Color system for now till we release it an all the fixes that comes with it.
  15. Lol, well lets say its easy now... i remember times where there was no ENB Gui ... this was... horrible...:D
  16. @nevolaen Wow asome thanks!! This is a great guide btw! As it is easy to tewak the colors and brightness its also easy to globalyl reaise and drop shadow brigtness too. So if you think the shadows are too bright its easy todo a darker shadows version byaltering a few sliders ;)
  17. Hi z. Fire: We will have a look in that still. So far it was important to find relieable values to build upon. Lightsprite: will investige into this also as soon our new Colorsystem is completley done:) Skylight: the new color system we work on has visible and not ultra dark shadows by default, considder this as 98% fixed ;) sunset: ok ;) I will revamp all sunrises/sunsets to the new colorsystem enyway. Indoor: The new colorsystem has 0% color fluctuation already. We will have to work a bit indoors still i think you will be pretty amazed the next release ;) Thanks for the usefull hints! Always nice to tewak on details
  18. Hm no the extended weatherd do not change things like that, do you have other weather mods running like EDWS ?
  19. Well, it was always a mystery how Skyrim chooses its weathers :D i know weathers can be attached to certain locations though. Maybe CoT attached some of them there
  20. ah good to hear, theres also a speedup guide inside the optinal files wich can come quiet handy.
  21. Allright, Version 4.0 as now been released and is should fix most of the bugs that has been reported. (well hopefully :D
  22. @z strange thing. Bzw i just uploaded a updated LoS preset in the Beta folder. Just forgot to add it to the latest release.
  23. @ z Hm i dont tnink that lantern bug is caused by my preset, i onlychange color and lighting radius+ some flickering. But i know elfx adds lanterns in the Villages as Lanterns of skyrim does as well. Maybe they fight each other. I have to check out rifton with the morningfogs. But if nothing responds to your tweaks then something is off. Riften most likley switches rapidly to the RiftonOvercastFogs. I am amazed you got those morningfogs there anyhow, or do you forced it there? I nothiced those pointlighting Ploppup also. Might be EDWS. @AllSunday: Depends. I uploaded some fixes for skylighting in the beta area a bit ago. Have a try. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ealhwl36l95z5zq/JEPosTxJ-w Other than that have a look at the Monitor calibration Picture in the optional files (darken your room and view fullscreen) to see how off you are from my monitor settings.
  24. You are right. I will change that in the next version :)
  25. Mostly the quality sliders of the effects are set a step down. SSAO Supersampling is switched off also and reflections resolution is reduced as well fancy water effects are disabled. Theres also a different DoF being used thats more performnance friendly. EDIT: Uploaded a quick comparision shot: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/94jncy7yv6bnxhr/MJxQa7cXf7 As you can see, it mostly just changes a bit in the SSAO on the rocks. But gains for me about 8-10 FPS. Heard from other with no highend GFX card they gained about 20 FPS.
