Allright good news, new version 5.20 is up! :D Much stuff changed again: - updated to the latest enbeffects.fx from prod80- New special edition "VANILLA COLOR VERSION" for everyone who likes the colors of vanilla skyrim. This Edition is developed as second "Main Version", and is always simultaneously and equally worked on.It uses a b/w palette instead of the magenta plus some minor config differences.- optimized all weathers to the new enbeffects.fx including all special editions- enhanced Pure weather weathers - please update and i would advice to use the brighter nights edition of PW :)- Switched to the new Softbloom from prod80. This doesn't over bloom bright areas anymore.- Added "Wearable Lanterns" Preset to the Required File.- Many tweaks And finally we overworked the directory structure. Hope it makes more sense now.

@oqhan hmm Postprocessing that costs no FPS... hmm maybe a colored glass infront of the monitor should do:) No seriousley that would be a great invention, a glass window that one can put on his monitor and alters brightness, saturation and color by changeing its molecular structure depending on presets...science!!! @anothernick hmm what graphicscard do you use? also have a look at this guide: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/? maybe that helps. Edit's: don't type english while having breakfast...wont work...

whew thanks all for the performance reports.....i think i need to tickle my GTX 670 a bit more to get to the 40's FPS..although i think i overdone it with some mods and textures. @oqhan Well random CTD's hould not come from Vividian, but maybe some enblocal.ini configuration that did not went well on your system? I mostly use skyrim performance monitor to take a look how filled my Vram is. Back in the old days i had plenty of CTD because all of my Vram where eaten up. There are now many ways for stabilize this. should have a look at this guide also for more performance: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50214/? That one could help you also with the random CTD's About those textures: Vividian comes with extra options for sharpening (not lod bias) those would be Luma sharpening and normal sharpening in the effects.fx shader tab. But yes the Edge AA could also have something todo with it you are right Daniel. Maybe even also Bloom a bit, depends on the weather.

Just released the Extended Weathers 2.0. Those now create a bridge between CoT and Pure weathers, so you can use them both at the same time! @oqha hm yes enb drains a bit...but 40-50 FPS with enb ? wheew. that i dream of! :D i have constant 30 FPS here with my gtx 670 but thats perfectly playable for me..well ok if i get used to 60 FPS i might think different ;)

Hi white! the enbeffect.fx.ini goes to the enbersies folder inside your skyrim folder ;) Yes i couldnt play skyrim without enb either now :D @ayen yes i i think all the gradient changeing stuff isnt worth for such effect as it got too much downsides imo. Too bad it cant be archived more easy....but ill vertainly will continue look into that maybe something intresting comes up. Many promising weather mods out there, just looking into RCRN..phew anothing thing to support! :D

Had to try out this sunset thingy...because...screw sleep! :D is this what you where looking for? If yes have a look at it, i uploaded a test weather for you: https://www.dropbox.com/s/oo7vl4pts9p5q9u/SkyrimClear.ini put that in the enbseries folder. then load the game, go to a nice spot where you have a great view to all directions and open up the console (^) type in set gamhehour to 17.90 close the console and open it again then type fw 81a close the console and enjoy:D Although i have to say i had to "rape" the sky gradients to get this result as the horizont gradient is yellowish/redish already by default from skyrim.

Ah thanks, yes the vivid landscapes might also also be add something extra. The thing with the Sky is correct. Its rather not a bug but a limitation of the skyrim engine as the skydome (wich is a half cut Sphere) is splitted up in 3 ring parts. Horizon, middle,Top. It really would be nice to achive such effect you describe and its partly possible but this requires then a huge ammount of Precredual sun (not really a option) and Volumetric rays+Sunhaze & Suncolor tweaking.... ...ill write that on my todo list! :D

thanks for the awsome compare and hints Whitestar! What settings/mods did you used for the shots? Indeed i must say the RiftonOvercastFog is a bit too dark on your picture, i'll look into that again. Well its a bit tricky about that colors. On one side i see you texture changes on your vanilla weathers, so i suppose they are older? Different textures create often a different warmth feeling but i guess thats just a minor reason in this case. As we updated the color system the generall coloring changed with it so it was impossible to recreate the old look without painting white areas Purple (result: purble snow, steam, particles aso..). So yes we tryd to finda good solution. Depending on your taste you can either try out benhat's Vanilla color edition (3 posts up) or the Pale & Cold edition in the special edition folder wich restores this freezing cold look a bit more but includes the Vividian color corrections. If you still feel that it needs some more tweaks, feel free to have a look at the How to Customize guide so you can easyly change some basic settings where you need it to fit exactly your taste. btw if you like to compare between vanilla and enb quickly, just hit Shift+12, there you turn off ENB and see the actual vanilla look. Thanks again !

Greetings everyone As you might have noticed, Pure Weather has been released into the Nexus: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52423/? This mod changes/enhances all Vanilla weathers and for those who want to try it out i uploaded a Support update for Pure weathers in the beta section. It is important to know though, that the extended weathers are not compatible with pure weathers yet. But this will change very soon. Enjoy!

@daniel. Wow! Awsome shot comparison! Thanks! But i think too much brighter and brigther + verisons are a bit contraproductive. We would need todo this also then with the nights and nights&interiors and then we end up with...alot of special editions :D Thats why we included detailed informations how to tweak the enb to ones taste and monitor if none of the presets apply wich basicly is done in a few clicks since V5.

Oh i see, Then just follow the customation guide :) Please also enable the Volumetric rays as many weathers simply depend on them. Other than that i would recommend also to enable the Mist and see how it drains on you(basicly it should not). This will give back great atmosphere in distant mountains and many foggy and stormy weathers depends on them plus better transitions to the sky. If you disable the Mist you might see some weird white mountains in the distance on a darker sky.
