It must be your ini settings and any non STEP mods you've got, I don't get nearly that kind of impact with a 2Ghz CPU and a GTX 460 1GB I use Ultra preset with AF and AA disabled (SMAA and AF forced through ENB is used instead) at 2560x1440. Vertical Sync forced off in drivers, Ambient Occlusion disabled, Texture Filtering set to Clamp. You're using anecdotal evidence to prove your point (or TC's, for that matter). Ask JJ who has a 3x more powerful setup than me, yet he still notices the ENB impact, even with some effects disabled. The only ini tweaks I've got are the following: Skyrim.ini: SkyrimPrefs.ini I'd be inclined to do a quick comparison of a few different ENB configs on my setup and their fps impact, if you're interested. Heck, I'd do it anyway, I've already spoken to JJ about doing that, it would be a good community effort if we combined the results across different machines.

ACCEPTED Skyrim Realistic Overhaul (by Starac)
Besidilo replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
That's the easy way, but almost guaranteed to rule out using a few of the current TPC mods, which is why I suggested my way to eliminate unnecessary mods in the first place.- 425 replies

Incompatible with Climates of Tamriel (and most lighting fixes, afaik).

Here's what you do, combine the full TPC excluding SRO completely, compare it with SRO 1.6 update, see what mod conflict, choose the better textures (quick comparison, no need to overthink that), decide which textures from SRO 1.6 go in, create a compatibility batch file.- 425 replies

A very high quality map by Warburg, based on the original map provided by Bethesda. Highly recommended if you're sick of 3D maps like me. Screenshots (all credits to the author): https://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25501 ::EDIT:: /rootsrat Some more screenshots: Tex 1 >> Tex 1 + NACMM >> Tex 2 >> Tex 2 + NACMM >> >> >> ENB OFF (darker) >> ENB ON (brighter) >>

Starac has released yet another update for his mod. No changelog, though, so can't comment on it.- 425 replies

Already has its own thread.

There's no way PS3 is getting a Bethesda exclusive. Not gonna happen.

Isn't it better to just post the link to Github where the project is maintained? It's sure to receive regular updates.

Hvergelmir started his work on the armours almost a year ago, with valid reasons to continue from the bottom of the list (what armours do you encounter most in the game?). There's no reason why he would switch around and start working backwards now, ultimately the two mods will be incompatible anyway. I fully appreciate Cabal's work, but Hvergelmir's armours have a more authentic feel to them IMHO and that's the reason why his armour set is overwriting Cabal's for me. Cabal is working hard to release a full set in the near future, so if you prefer his work, you will quite possibly get a complete package sooner than one from Hvergelmir's, otherwise you would still need to overwrite somebody's armours anyway.

Help - Appropriate STEP configuration
Besidilo replied to DimSh's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I wouldn't say Skyrim itself is worth an upgrade from your current rig. The obvious benefits would come from adding an SSD and upgrading the graphics card, but neither is necessary to enjoy the game. You'd be best using the baseline STEP, cutting down on ultra resolution mods (4K, sometimes 2K) due to VRAM limitation, but it shouldn't be much of an issue at this resolution anyway. I don't know much about laptop GPUs, but my bet is STEP isn't the guide for a laptop with such a weak graphics card. 2GB VRAM would be meaningless since the card doesn't have raw power to render detailed scenes. -
Green Moss/lighting/texture/??? issue, STEP 2.2.0a
Besidilo replied to Valamyr's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Steam -> Right click Skyrim in the Library -> Properties -> Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim -> Delete SkyrimPrefs.ini, Skyrim.ini and RenderInfo.txt Two steps that you should always perform before any troubleshooting. Now launch the game from Steam (not skse_loader.exe). -
Personal preference, IMHO.

Your favourite modders
Besidilo replied to Besidilo's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Quality mods, but he isn't as established as some other modders I mentioned. -
Solitude Docks District It basically adds a whole new Docks District to Solitude, making it feel much more like the city it should had been in the first place. The mod has been cleaned by Arthmoor himself using TES5Edit and should be compatible with Open Cities Skyrim.

To be fair, some of them have been working on Skyrim for the past 10 months. It's been a long and, quite possibly, tedious ride. I hope I don't sound blasphemous here, but I highly doubt Skyrim will be remembered as one of the best TES games in the future. It lacks appeal in the long run, unlike Oblivion and some other RPGs. Hopefully the Skyrim modding scene will get some fresh blood, there were a lot of instances where the good old was replaced with even better new.
