Quick Question About Merging Plugins

Question

Ok, I want to make sure I'm doing this right so bare with me.

When you merge plugins toghether, it creates the merged plugin and other files (i.e. textures and meshes) in the overwrite folder of MO. Now, my question is this: do I only need to copy the merged ESP, or do I need to copy the other files as well?

To be more specific, after merging Vividian - Extended Weathers.esp and Vividian - Extended Weathers CoT.esp, the following files are in my overwrite folder:

- textures

- meshes

- Vividian ENB - Extended Weathers.esp

Do I need to copy those meshes/textures in addition to the newly created ESP? Please let me know, thank you <333

You need to copy all of them. You can usually just right click the Overwrite folder and select create mod or you can drag and drop everything from the Overwrite popup window to the correct folder in the left panel.

You dont have the settings setup correctly. You need to check the MO checkbox and change the paths to your MO directory

Thanks guys. I've been using the tes5edit plugin... I guess it's time to switch over to Merge Plugin Standalone. Not sure where to find a download for it though - been looking for the 2.0.1.33 PUBLIC BETA but can't find it :/

I followed the instructions on setting up the tools
Right now, as a workaround, I just manually backed up Update.esm and copy it somewhere, before cleaning with xEditQuickAutoClean.

TES5Edit is not giving me the Save window after I clean Update.esm.

I am following Gamer Poets video on cleaning the Update.esm file using TES5Edit through Mod Organizer.  Everything works fine until I close TES5Edit.  I do not get the option to save the cleaned Update, the program just terminates and I am back in MO with LOOT complaining the esm is still dirty.

I have tried pressing Control-S  as TES5Edit's documentation suggested you could force the Save window to appear but no luck.

I suspect I have a very large hole in my understanding of the way MO handles ...well, everything 😞
