Looks like a nice retexturing of the dragon priests.  The author definitely did a lot more to improve upon the textures than just trying to run some filters on them.

Looks interesting, but it takes a lot of detail away from the vanilla texture.

It's still better than the priest from Book of Silence though.

Since everyone seems to be going Kajuan-crazy for the new release (with good reason!), anyone have any thoughts on this one?

Unfortunately there is no mixing and matching with this one. It's either one or the other. The problem is that I can't find any reference as to the armor they wear and what material it's suppose to be. For this reason, I'd like to see a vanilla shot for comparison. The one that matches vanilla the best, will probably be my choice.

I updated the post with a screenshot of vanilla Krosis and it looks as if Dragon Priest is very close to Vanilla. The hands are obviously different whereas the remainder seems to have subtle differences.

 

I think the positioning of vanilla Krosis is off too much making a direct compare difficult, so I'll go back in game to get some more screenshots using tm (thanks Phazer) to hopefully keep them in the same position.

"Dragon Priest" looks better imo, and matches the vanilla style more.

It does, Sixx... but I also note at least one that has a significant variation on the arms, creating a colored banding pattern that I find distracting. Were it not for that...

Do you remember which resolution of the mod you were using that had this banding effect? I'm currently using the 2k version and I haven't noticed this yet.

From the shots alone, I'm inclined to go with this mod over AMB. It's a lot closer to vanilla and looks better. The darker tone of AMB often loses details.

When doing compares for STEP, don't forget to turn your ENB off. (Shift+F12)

Just looking at your shot of Morokai in particular. Look at the arm armor, and you'll see the colored banding I'm referring to.

I noticed that banding in the screenshots as well. Is this effect in the screenshots due to the ENB being left on, as Tech alluded to? Or is that banding inherent in the new textures themselves?

Now I know we did compares of the other aMB option for the dragon priests (concept edition I think it was in the installer) but it might be a good idea to throw it into the mix as well.
