Enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini does not apply ingame

Question

Posted (edited)

Hello,

My ENB itself is working just fine, but for some odd reason the chances I make into enbseries.ini and enblocal.ini does not apply. I am 100% positive that they are correct, they just wont work. Some of the settings are easy to check like FPS limiter:

[LIMITER]
WaitBusyRenderer=false
EnableFPSLimit=true
FPSLimit=55.0

or

[TIMEOFDAY]
Enable=true
DawnDuration=1.5
SunriseTime=7.00
DayTime=11.0
SunsetTime=21.0
DuskDuration=1.5
NightTime=23.00

I cant figure out what is wrong with it, sence ENB it self work just fine. I am using Flawless widescreen (Skyrim does not support my monitor resolution native) Mod Organizer and ENB Manager. Flawless widescreen shoud not effect in anyway, ENB Manager shoud be stand alone and all the files are visible in Skyrim folder as well, and settings are correct there aswell.

Any idea where I could try to find a problem? Or solution.

Edit: Ofc what I ment is that even with FPS limiter is set to 55 I get 45-90fps debending where I am. And timeofday settings ingame are vanilla, not ones Im posting there.

You mean by Nvidia drivers? No, I havent. Isnt it more that ENB shoud handle those. + it has other important values allso that I would like to get working.

I know that much. Main  thing was that could 3th party programs be the issue.

This is excatly my point here: I have no idea what so ever why does't my settings transfer to ingame? I havent found any solution and Im kinda lost. Thats why I am asking help =)

But ofc your point is valid, I was thinking it shoudnt have anything to do with resolution that you can confirm. So one thing is crossed from the list.

Third party programs shouldn't have anything to do with it unless you're running something like Radeon Pro or a game booster. I would verify that the ENB Manager is actually installing your ENB correctly though.

If your ENB is running with weather system enabled then the enbseries.ini wont be the priminary .ini file in use.. depending on weather then it will be one of those. They are normally found the the enbseries folder.

As for enblocal.ini then that is a bit weird, but most likely something system specific. I am not clear if you mean the file does not work at all .. ie every parameter, or only a few of them. In the case of a few.. then again something driver specific is overwriting them.

I am using CoT.

I can live with other thing but not having [TIMEOFDAY] as my liking is bit of a dawnfall. OFC I would love working vsyc and fps limit but thats a small thing in big picture.

Can you be a little more specific as to what you mean by "not working"? If you're trying to make changes and then they don't change properly OR they revert when you start the game then it's as simple as hitting "Save Configuration" in the GUI. Sometimes you need to do that and then hit "Apply Changes" for it to show in game. I could be misunderstanding your problem though.

I make changes to ini files but they dont work inside the game. When I recheck the ini, it is correct with my settings on it. But again no effect ingame.

Can you shot some screen shots for us?

  • One of your Inspector settings (this might take two)
  • One of your Skyrim root directory.
  • Copy and Paste your INIs hidden with spoiler tags (SkyrimPrefs.ini, enblocal.ini, enbseries.ini)
