Weird dragon texture problem

I am having really weird problem with dragons. They look normal from distance, but when they land (or fly around me), the textures look blurred and like if they were 1% of their real resolution or something.

The only mod I use that changes the textures is the Bellyaches one, nothing else.

What makes it even more weird is that when a dragon dies and drops down, the texture changes back into normal.

Has anyone else ever experienced something like that?

I've experienced it, but not for a while now. Don't know the cause.
