Question
moozilbee
Hi, earlier today I started Fallout 3 after some modding, started a new character, got to the end of the character creation and then boom, CTD.
I'm running the game with around 80 or so mods, most of which are just small texture mods, it's a pretty lightly modded game with FOOK2 and then a few things like EVE, MMM, etc, but not that many mods. I'm using the new Brave new wasteland ENB. I'm NOT using the Borderless windowed mod, because for some reason it suddenly started crashing my game on startup. I can load an exiting save I was using for testing, but starting a new save causes a CTD after finishing what my character looks like. The only .ini tweaks I have are the ones for DarnUI to work, for Pipboy Readius to work, and the inumHWthreads=2 & BusethreadedAI=1 tweak.
Now, onto the actual problem, since earlier today, when I open the configurator, MO freezes for about 10 seconds then gives me the error message "Your configuration files contain an invalid value: iSize W=1680iSize H=1050 (in section Decals). After this it says about how the game will probably ignore this setting and if somebody said to use it they might be wrong.
And then it still allows me to open the configurator, but, when I open the .ini editor, it instantly gives me an error message: Plugin "INI Editor" failed: bad allocation. It doesn't let me open the .ini editor, and I can edit them manually in the MO profiles folder, however FalloutPrefs.ini seems to constantly freeze and I can find the Isize values that the configurator reported, but they're not in the decals section, and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with them, that's my screen size. I can't quite remember, but this might have happened after I changed the resolution.
Does anybody have any ideas why these error messages appear? Updating/repairing MO doesn't seem to help, and does anybody have any idea why my game crashes after character creation?
Specs:AMD FX 6300 @4.3GHZ
CM Hyper 212 Evo
AMD XFX R9 270 Stock clock
XFX Pro 550w Bronze PSU
2x2GB Crucial Ballistix tactical memory
Asus M5A97 LE
Here is MO's install order, it seems to be going from last to first.
