Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD

What is this?

DynDOLOD is a set of tools based on TES5Edit and TES5LODGen to automatically create a Skyrim mod based on the load order which adds distant LOD for objects to Skyrim. By combining DynDOLOD with TES5LODGen users can create drastically enhanced traditional static LOD plus tree LOD and the new, optional dynamic distant object LOD in a few 'simple' steps.

DynDOLOD is meant for enthusiast modders who are familiar with using TES5Edit. Enthusiast modders have a general knowledge of computers, folders and files, especially Skyrims 'Data' folders and how to install mods safely with a manager or manually.

To fully expand the visual experience and use the additional features offered by TES5LODGen the DynDOLOD package comes with over 1000 new or updated LOD models for objects that were badly missing from the original game like the Skyhaven Temple or landscape features like roads, smaller rocks and dirt cliffs that simply make the distant landscape look much more natural and alive.

Requirements

SKSE

PapyrusUtil 2.8 or higher

DynDOLOD Resources - Make sure to use DynDOLOD Resources version only with matching or higher DynDOLOD Standalone versions but never with older versions.

Vanilla Skyrim LOD Billboards from TES5LODGen or Indistinguishable Vanilla Tree Billboards. If using tree mods that do not include billboards, check TES5LODGen for ready-to-use tree LOD billboards for some tree mods. For STEP users all billboards are included in STEP Texture Compilation.

Guess its a function wich was not included in the functions.pas, as I cant guess what it does, will get the code from lib folder from 0.51.00 and let it run again.

Strange, I have the latest and didnt change it, but that function was not on the previous DynDoLOD. Will double check it.

 

Edit: Seens they ninja updated right after I downloaded the "latest" file. I had 1893.

Definitely seems to be working much better. I finally saw the glorious notification that dyndolod had initialized. Now to figure out why I don't see waterfalls...

I finished the last LODGen step. I am using MO. Got error of missing form ID from Realshelter.esp and Wet and Cold holiday. I checked output folder which is empty. This is strange.

Hi Sheson,

 

Feedback for your latest version (0.51.02);

 

- Purple snowy rock issue is fixed

- Floating tower issue is fixed (both Solitude and Falskaar)

- This version is much more stable and managed to generate static objects (full load order) without any issues. Great work ;)

- Noticed one issue with Solstheim (this was also present in 0.51.01). The archs towards Temple of Miraak are purple). Same purple archs can be seen in Soltheim World Map. Probably another old mesh which slipped through?

 

Below mods are working like a charm out of the box (at least for me they do)

- Elysium Estate

- Western Watchtower Rebuilt

- Lances Expanded Whitewatch Tower with playerhome

- Legendary Cities - Tes Arena - Skyrim Frontier Fortress

- Bathing Beauties or Beefcake - Luxury Suite (this comes with its own LOD but yours adds the backyard in more detail)

- Skyrim Bridges

After generating again with 0.51.02, didnt notice any more problem (with Solitude tower), was able to generate with my full load order, this time around with JK Skyrim.

Will continue to check around tonight and post back if I notice anything, but so far so good.

Sheson, I have already agreed to giving you my first born, but once I manage to make this work for me, I will voluntarily give to you my subsequent children. Thank you. Where do I donate? Gonna put their tuition savings into the bank since I won't need it anymore. :D

Unofficial Dragonborn patch reintroduced a wrong mesh again, it was fixed before...  sigh.

Yeah there is purple meshes on snow and some buildings on Solstheim, i have just installed the new UDBP.Other than that its working great.

You are absolutely right. This is a bug with Skyrim Bridges mod and the author already knows about it. I removed this part from my previous post.
