I do not use CoT since switching to Serenity.

I have been using Serenity with Real Rain, but recently noticed in Serenity's forum posts that it includes enb rain. I have now uninstalled Real Rain to verify what enb rain looks like so I can make an informed decision as to which rain I want.

Would you mind posting your findings here about which is better? Also, do you know if the Real Rain Ripple file is better than RW2? Does it even conflict with RW2?

Are you saying that if I use prod's CoT Weather Patch, I don't need Real Rain at all? Or just the Optional Ripple Effect file? I am using Prod's Serenity ENB, which doesn't require CoT. So I am not using CoT. 

Yes that is exactly what I am saying. prod80 clearly says as on his list of incompatible mods on the site. You can still use it as I have described but you don't need it.

'fraid its been sunny past few days, bit overcast this eve, maybe rain tomorrow? I'll let you know how enb rain & RW2 ripples look and see about comparing to Real Rain if need be.

You're on your own for CoT, I'm happier with vanilla + enb.

Yea, I'm not using CoT with Serenity either. I doubt it'll look any better. Serenity looks beautiful with vanilla weather. Yea, I'm very interested to see how RW2 Ripples compares to Real Rain Ripples. Also, yea, also curious about ENB Rain vs Real Rain vs ENB Rain + Real Rain. I'm looking forward to your findings. I won't be home until the weekend so I can't test this out myself :-/.
