TechAngel85 Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Apparently I no longer have "higher" editing privileges on the Wiki... Can't edit and vote on the Extended Proposal or edit the main guide.
0 Neovalen Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I noted external editing seemed to fail as well... not sure if related. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk

0 Kelmych Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 I am able to edit the Extended Proposal. I am able to download a page with the XExternalEditor. I haven't tried loading it back to a wiki page yet. I do notice the site is sluggish tonight.
0 TechAngel85 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 Sight is very sluggish! I'll open another thread for that.
0 DoubleYou Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 Apparently I no longer have "higher" editing privileges on the Wiki... Can't edit and vote on the Extended Proposal or edit the main guide.Well, the Extended Proposal currently doesn't have any restrictions on it, so technically anybody could edit it, so it can't be a higher editing privileges issue.
0 TechAngel85 Posted March 8, 2014 Author Posted March 8, 2014 It's in the STEP namespace meaning that only those with the privileges to edit in that namespace should be able to edit it. Same with the Guide.
0 stoppingby4now Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 @TechYou have the correct group assignment. I will try and do some more digging, but you should have access. For External Edit, it still works for me (using XExternalEditor). I have had a couple occasions where the ini file it generates somehow became corrupt, and deleting it and letting it recreate fixed the issue. The file will be located in %USERPROFILE%XExternalEditorwiki_step-project_com.ini
0 Kelmych Posted March 8, 2014 Posted March 8, 2014 The comment about the XExternalEditor deserves to be stickied. It happens just infrequently enough that I forget about the fix when the problem occurs again. I reinstalled XExternalEditor a few days ago (since it wasn't on this computer) and I haven't had any problems recently.
0 phazer11 Posted March 9, 2014 Posted March 9, 2014 S4N you mind getting me some privileges so I can edit the proposal please?
