frihyland Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 TESVGecko A utility that allows the comparison of esp's (especially conflicts) with editing and merging features to resolve them. Just a preview with limited functionality at the moment, but its a nice step forward.
0 TheCompiler Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I've used it for Oblivion, and i'll use it for Skyrim. Hope to see TES5Edit as well soon.

0 EisDrache Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 One thing i'm wondering can you clean/check multipul mods at once or do you have to do one at a time?
0 Neovalen Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 You can check multiples at a time, no problem. Just use shift-click to select multiple esp files. Masters are opened automatically. Checked out some of the mods flagged as bad by TES5Edit from Fri but they didn't seem to show errors. BFSEffects in particular since I love that mod and even with some issues I wouldn't get rid of it... I'm not sure how the two tools stack up against each other as far as finding errors thought, likely TES5Edit is looking at things Gecko doesn't.
0 Neovalen Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 0.2.0 released, can now clean Master Files. My Update.esm and Dawnguard.esm are now clean. (of ITMs anyways) Be sure to extract the Dawnguard strings from the BSA before attempting to load anything linked with Dawnguard.
0 Neovalen Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 This should be mandatory to run on all mods for STEP 2.3, a LOT of the mods out there have dirty edits in them. I've been going through my entire load order and many of the existing STEP mods have a bunch.
0 frihyland Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 we'll make it mandatory when it hits version 1.0, till then its still beta, we may however advise it be well tested by the step community :D
