rootsrat Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/31733/? Markarth retexture. Looks interesting on the author's screenshots, to say the least. Whether is fits in game in other texture packs we all use? Good question!Â
phazer11 Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 I look forward to these. I enjoyed some of this guys clutter object work.
torminater Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Markarth is a Dwemer ruin with people in it. I don't think it would be lore friendly to let Markarth be white and all the other dwemer ruins grey. I will give this mod some credit though. I like the white, it's just not for my playstyle. For a LOTR conversion (which will never happen), this would be a good start.
rootsrat Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 Hm... I see your point. I am a lore purist to some extent myself. But maybe...! The Jarl of Markarth ordered his people to PAINT the whole city white, as he was fed up with the dull grey colour and wanted for his city to look prettier? There is always a way to explain little things like that in role play terms, without breaking the lore ;)
torminater Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Well nothing is easier than bs yourself ;-)

torminater Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 That doesn't make a difference for me, but having the option is nice.
redirishlord Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 I love it myself, and having Dwemer architecture in Skyrim match is a must. The metal bits are unchanged so it works for me. But that's just me, I wouldn't expect something like this in STEP Core. Really beautiful work, its staying in my personal build.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted February 1, 2014 Posted February 1, 2014 Does anyone have any before/after screens? This mod just changes the colors of the walls?
redirishlord Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I have some after shots, taken with Realvision ENB & ELFX, probably just good to give you a flavor;Looks like I do have a before, but it may not be apples to apples (possibly different version of Realvision &/or RLO instead of ELFX) but its what I got
DoYouEvenModBro Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 The textures look blocky and low res :-/. Are you running low settings?
redirishlord Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 No, ewi65's custom ini files, high for ugrids 7 (available on Nexus). Should be an Ulta hybrid with performance & STEP tweaks. From mod description: "Same resolution as official Hi res DLC, good performance & good quality." I've only installed and played, no real investigation on my part. It feels a little Ayleid/Minas Tirith to me, and I'm enjoying that. I wouldn't recommend it for STEP Core, I just posted my experience with it to contribute to the thread, not to advocate for it's inclusion.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 Doesn't really suit my tastes but I hope you are enjoying it :-). I do think it is a cool concept.
redirishlord Posted February 5, 2014 Posted February 5, 2014 I agree with you, but enjoying it for the moment. Here's a couple of close ups, I think my previous had some DoF blurring them;
