I hate the candle wisps and, for some reason, the added wisp effects of ELFX don't always line up with the candles in Dragons Reach and some other areas I can't think of off the top of my head. We only use the ELFX meshes and not the plugins. You will not have the right meshes for a lot of things without it. Just hide the specific meshes you don't want.

There's no need to use a patch for a mod you haven't enabled. With mesh patches, you're installing a variant of the patched mesh. What's your issue with the ELFX meshes? Not using them as a base vanilla mesh patch will revert 421 vanilla mesh improvements:
