Kamehadouken Posted November 1, 2023 Posted November 1, 2023 Mostly just as an FYI, Bethini now has a "new" version, different from what's in the guide, known as "Bethini Pie (Performance INI Editor)" which can be found here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/631 . Following the STEP guide which instructs you to keep "Check for updates" checked, you'll constantly be pointed to this new edition instead of the old editor which all the instructions/screenshots are for. Cheers!

Cheers! This mod was developed by DoubleYou, one of our administrators. We'll be moving to the new version in the next guide updates, but not until then, so I've removed this bit and updated the BethINI setup image in the guide for now.

If I plan to start using the guide now for a completely new install, should I wait for it or is the next version of the guide still far out?

Next version is still weeks or a couple months out. It's best to get started now, so it will be simpler to update later. Up to you though.

Just wanted to make sure I don't run headlong into a "Had you only waited a few more days..." scenario. ^_^" 1

At this point I feel like this guide is the only Vanilla Skyrim that I want (or even can) play. I remember my coworker told me "it is enough to install Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition Patch to play". And I was thinking in my mind "No man, you don't understand what I have experienced". The other side of the coin is that there is no turning back after you tasted Skyrim STEP and it takes a couple of full days off to prepare the game. But if you enjoy the process as much as I do of preparing the game - it is all perfect. Edited November 17, 2023 by tadastalalas 3
