Hi, I am doing the latest Step Guide with little alterations like having Mysticis over Odin, Adamant as perk overhaul or adding followers. I didnt saw anything that odin is especially needed but in LOOT theres warning in Step Patch - Conflict Resolution.esp --- This plugin requires "Odin - Skyrim Magic Overhaul.esp" to be installed, but it is missing --- Apart from that theres no other warnings/errors in LOOT. Do i need Odin with this get-up or can something be done (its not that i dont like changes but i simply like vanilla feel better bcs i dont play often and i do prefere it that way)

Heres Load order from LOOT if needed:

You will need to remove the Odin related patching from the patch to use it without Odin. See this:

Ok, but what Form ID i use bcs thats for Alternate Life and i have Odin to remove also i read on another post something like that

  1. Load the STEP Patch into xEdit
  2. Right click the STEP Patch and run script called "List records referencing specific plugin" (specifying the plugin I wish to remove as a master)
  3. Go through the list which is generated and delete all of those records from the STEP Patch
  4. Right click the STEP Patch and select "Clean Masters"
  5. Save and quit

would something like that work, but then again i dont know what to write in when it asks me for referances to search for the right things to show to delete them ?

I did search in xEdit 18 - thats what is in index next to Odin in brackets and this shows up on right screen:

" \ [1F] Step Patch - Conflict Resolution.esp \ [14] GRUP Top "WRLD" \ [1] GRUP World Children of Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C] \ [2] GRUP Exterior Cell Block 0, 0 \ [2] GRUP Exterior Cell Sub-Block 2, 1 \ [0] [CELL:00008FC4] (in Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C] at 15,16) \ [9] XLCN - Location = ccEEJSSE005_ExteriorLocation "Bloodchill Cavern Location" [LCTN:090F47E7]"

Does that mean i need enter this ids and on left pane scroll to where the step patch.esp is at the end on right screen and right-click remove it from all those ids then clean masters the Step Patch - CR and then i can disable and uninstall Odin from mod list and it will no longer be required ? all though on id 090F47E7 i dont know what would it be ? theres no step patch.esp just one column. any thoughs ?

Most simply (without considering all of the details of other mod interactions with ODIN athat may or may not be important), to remove "Odin - Skyrim Magic Overhaul.esp" as a master to the Step patch:

  1. Sort desired mod list plugins with LOOT
  2. Load xEdit through MO
  3. Right-click the list > "Select none"
  4. Type 'Step" in search filter, and select Step CR Patch from which you want to remove the master dependency
  5. Click the '+' node of "Odin - Skyrim Magic Overhaul.esp" while holding Alt key (opens all records)
  6. Examine each of the colored records (use arrow keys with record selected at left) and note each one that shows the CR Patch in right pane as rightmost (or near to last rightmost) column
  7. Right click column header of Step Patch, select "Remove" for all such records (removes the records from the CR patch and not Odin plugin).
  8. Once all are removed, right click the CR Patch > Clean Masters
  9. Exit xEdit with save toggled on CR Patch
  10. Done

If you still get the MO Masters error, you missed a record in odin.

I am really thankful for that explanation. i removed columns with Step Patch from colored records and in Loot there is no warnings now so i guess that did the trick. now i need to do some settings tuning and generate lods. Thanks again
