Unresolved FormID

Dagnathur

Question

First: Thank you Sheson et. al for DynDOLOD.

I have been using for a while (prior versions) without issue by RTFM advise & some great YouTube video tutorials.
With the DynDOLOD 3 I thought I would upload and give an attempt.
No issues with TexGen. DynDOLOD stops on the Heljarchen Farm Revamped mod.
I know you cannot know my load order or what conflicts may exist. I am hoping you can translate the message below so I can look into learning more about the inner workings of modding.

Thanks,
Dag

This is not a DynDOLOD error. DynDOLOD is not crashing.

As explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages, use "Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message" to open https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID.
In case the message mentions that a plugin might be the wrong version, double check it is the correct version for the game version and for any other plugins using it as a master and vice versa.

It is likely that Lux Via - Weathered Roads Signs - Patch.esp is outdated or was made for a different version of Weathered Road Signs.esp.

Hello! Strange bug when generating lods for Silian Manor (SE). I fixed the error, made a backup of the mod, deleting the line in the esp mod that was reported by DynDOLOD 3.00-Alpha-111 and carried out the generation. And after the generation of lods, I returned the old esp to its place.
Moreover, DynDOLOD version 2.92 generated Silian Manor  lods without errors. Attached is the screenshot of the error:

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which log and debug log to upload when making posts.

Use the link "Copy this message to clipboard" at the bottom of the message to copy and paste the text instead of posting a screenshot as explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages#Copy-and-Paste-Text

As explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages, read the entire message carefully.
Use the link "Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message" to open https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID and actually read the explanations.

DynDOLOD reports an error in the plugin that needs to be fixed. This is a message about an error in the plugin.

It does not make any sense to replace a fixed plugin with the broken one in the game. Do not use the broken plugin in the game. Use the fixed plugin in the game.

TY01VultureRest.esp might be the wrong version.

I have absolutely no idea what this means or how to fix it and the website instructions are incredibly vague and unhelpful. What does this actually mean and how can I fix it? This mod produces great results but you have to go through so many hoops just to get them it feels like.

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which log and debug log to upload when making posts.

The explanations at https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID that opens when using the "Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message" are pretty detailed. However, they require modding skills, like how to use xEdit.

They explain exactly what the problem is:
Unresolved form ID errors signify records that try to use non-existing records in the same or master plugins.

The next sentence explains a possible reason:
This can happen due to outdated plugins or if records being used by other records are removed without taking care of such dependencies.

If you followed the generation instructions to error check the load order with xEdit you would have already found this error and probably others.

If you look at the record xx131C43 in TY01VultureRest.esp, you can see that BonehawkUndeathPatch.esp overwrites it and sets the XNDP - Navigation Mesh to an non existing form id. To fix the error in BonehawkUndeathPatch.esp, drag and drop the existing entry from TY01VultureRest.esp to BonehawkUndeathPatch.esp.

Patch plugins can only be created by a patcher program with error free plugins. Incidentally checking and fixing errors helps to avoid having to troubleshoot hard to decipher CTDs or issue later in the game. As the https://dyndolod.info/Generation-Instructions#Prerequisites explains, sort and resolve conflicts. Clean and error check the load order with xEdit before generating the LOD patch. Ideally mod authors should check their plugins are error free when before they upload them.

I didn't know where to ask this but I've tried running dyndolod multiple times and I've gotten multiple errors for mods saying "xxx might be the wrong version" (xxx as in what ever mod I have is saying this) and I've had to click exit dyndolod, reinstall the mod, and run dyndolod again. Is there a way I can do this more efficiently to see what needs to be reinstalled?

Check the load order for errors with xEdit before generating LOD as explained by the page https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID that opens when clicking the "Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message" of the message as explained in the first post:
https://tes5edit.github.io/docs/7-mod-cleaning-and-error-checking.html

The xEdit error check will list all unresolved errors (and more) unlike DynDOLOD which only checks records that might be eligible for LOD.

I am trying to generate LODs with DynDOLOD after using TexGen to generate the billboards, and am getting an error about skyrim.esm might be the wrong version and it references an error in Complete Crafting Overhaul Remastered for Corundum Ore Vein (see attached pic.)

I opened up CCOR in SSEEdit, and am getting an error for subrecord SDSc 63534453 in VOCShoutImpactPush (see attached pic), but am not sure where to look (I don't do a lot of modding, and most of what I do do is via tutorials or guides).

TexGen reported no errors or issues when generating billboards, and LOOT reports all files are clean and no errors (just some general compatibility messages that I have already addressed on the respective mod pages and resolved)

NOTE: I am running Skyrim AE v1.6.640.0 with SKSE v2.2.3 and DynDOLOD 3 Alpha

Any help or suggestions on how to resolve this would be greatly appreciated, as Google is failing to help me, and I can't seem to find anything on the forums similar to this error.

The screenshot of the log shows Complete Crafting Overhaul_Remaster.esp being loaded before Skyrim.esm. This is not going to work. Fix the load order of plugins or whatever is causing it. A patch might have out of order masters.

Investigate and fix whatever other errors reported by the xEdit loader that might need fixing. Unknown record type probably means the file is corrupt.

Hello all!

First time poster here, but long time lo-fi, amateur modder for Skyrim since the early days.

Trying to step (pun intended), my game up and have started learning how to use DynDOLoD.

I have put together a largish list (large for my experience) and wanted to run it through DynDOLoD to create a smooth experience when out and about in the wild.

I have been able to work through the TexGen step and then began to get errors appearing in the DynDOLoD step that needed me to stop creating the LOD files. I have received this error message and have been trying to find a way to fix it in SSEEdit (which I am also learning), but cant find anything about REFR errors. Ive attached a screenshot of the error message.

If anyone would be able to help a keen amateur work through this (without disabling Heljarchen Farm), I would really appreciate it!

Error in HeljarchenFarm.esp [REFR:3603A8A2] (places SKHFLightPost "Light Post" [ACTI:0503A8A0] in GRUP Cell Persistent Children of [CELL:00000D74] (in Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C]) at 9,7)

Use the "Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message" link to open https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID for further information and tips about this error as explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages

As explained at https://dyndolod.info/Generation-Instructions#Prerequisites, the load order should be checked for errors with xEdit. You will find that the mod has lots of unresolved form ID errors.

As explained at https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID, if the intended record can not be determined removing the properties from the script (right click them in xEdit) will remove the unresolved entries. The script function will still not work just as before. Also check the comments of the mod.
