Unresolved FormID

Dagnathur

Question

First: Thank you Sheson et. al for DynDOLOD.

I have been using for a while (prior versions) without issue by RTFM advise & some great YouTube video tutorials.
With the DynDOLOD 3 I thought I would upload and give an attempt.
No issues with TexGen. DynDOLOD stops on the Heljarchen Farm Revamped mod.
I know you cannot know my load order or what conflicts may exist. I am hoping you can translate the message below so I can look into learning more about the inner workings of modding.

Thanks,
Dag

Ryn's error is xx31F96

The final error xx14C8D is from JK's College

Without Ryn's, JK's and Lux Via, everything runs now

The very strange thing is that it's reporting FormIDs outside of the mod index. I've only got a few things loaded, the highest mod index is 13, yet it's reporting Unresolved FID C131F96

If you could list the minimal load order you had that has the issue, that would help.

13 would be 0C in hex

Looks like the internal file ID is pointing to avwrong master.

Mod index is already in hex, so it's just 13, but that doesn't really make a difference

Here's the load order

https://paste.ee/p/apTAl

With JK's it was the same, just replace Ryn's Vigil with JK's College

Just the 2nd session when trying to update existing DynDOLOD plugins.

I am having problems using Dyndolod for my Skyrim VR playthrough.

TexGen is fine, though when using Dyndolod I recieve the following error message:

Unresolved FormID [01002EE7] Update.esm might be the wrong version. Error in Cathedral - 3D Mountain Flowers.esp [CELL:00009878] (in Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C] at 19,-23)

In xEdit I can see that the entire row for 0000003c (Tamriel) is red for MHDT (Max Height Data), this is about 60 plugins. If I remove the 3D Mountain Flowers esp., I then recieve the same error but for Majestic Mountains and so on.

Dragonborn DLC seems to be the first cell with red text as well as a red background (not sure of the significance of this) - the cells are all populated with the following:

C7 FF D5 FF 3E 00 33 00 13 13 13 13 13 15 17 17 1A 1A 1B 1C 1F 26 33 39 3F 42 42 44 43 44 43 43 43 43 43 44 44 44 44 44 41 42 41 40 41 40 40 3F 41 40 40 3F 38 39 36 39 33 36 32 2E 2C 2B 2B 2A 28 28 27 27 27 29 28 29 2A 2B 2B 2C 2C 2E 2F 31 3D 3D 41 41 48 48 48 48 46 47 41 44 41 43 42 42 42 43 42 44 43 45 44 47 45 48 46 47 46 47 43 46 43 45 42 44 40 44 3F 43 40 46 40 45 3C 44 38 3F 3B 3E 41 41 48 4D 4E 52 4E 52 4D 50 4C 50 53 54 58 5B 5C 5F 63 69 6D 75 79 82 84 86 8F 8F 91 91 8F 91 96 9A 97 9A 96 98 92 95 8E 93 8A 91 87 8F 83 8D 80 87 7E 82 7E 82 7C 82 7A 80 79 80 76 7D 77 79 74 76 72 72 72 6E 6E 6B 6E 6A 6F 6E 6F 6F 70 6E 6E 68 68 5F 60 5E 5E 5D 5E 5B 58 59 54 57 52 55 50 53 4F 51 4D 50 4E 51 50 51 50 51 4C 51 46 4D 43 49 40 49 3E 40 34 37 33 31 33 2F 27 20 22 1D 1D 1D 1B 1D 19 1C 15 17 13 13 11 11 0D 0F 0C 0D 0C 0C 0C 0C 0B 0B 0A 0B 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0A 0

From what I understand MHDT is a bit of a non consequential value that predominantly governs how high Dragons can fly (may be wrong here).

I would create a patch though I'm not sure what to patch as it's really not clear, there seem to be a lot of mods interacting with this cell all in red. I have 254 plugins. As it is a large worldspace I can't think which mod would be causing such an issue with regards to height.

Never encountered this problem when using Dyndolod before and have hit a bit of a wall - can anyone offer some advice as to what may be causing the issue?

Thanks!

Read https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which DynDOLOD log and debug log to upload when making posts.

Read the actual error message as explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages:
COTN - Morthal.esp might be the wrong version.
Error in The Great Cities of JK's North - Patch.esp

Clicking the link "Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message" of the message opens https://dyndolod.info/Messages/Unresolved-Form-ID:
In case the message mentions that a plugin might be the wrong version, double check it is the correct version for the game version and for any other plugins using it as a master and vice versa.

The Great Cities of JK's North - Patch.esp was made for a different version of COTN - Morthal.esp.
You probably need the newer patch from The Great Cities of JK's North - COTN Morthal 1.2 Dawnstar 1.4 Update

Moved to the appropriate thread for the unresolved form ID error message.

Read the actual error message as explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Read-Log-and-Error-Messages:
Unresolved FormID [01002EE7]
Update.esm might be the wrong version.
Error in Cathedral - 3D Mountain Flowers.esp [CELL:00009878] (in Tamriel "Skyrim" [WRLD:0000003C] at 19,-23)

Cathedral - 3D Mountain Flowers.esp requires a different Update.esm, probably a newer one from Skyrim SE. See https://dyndolod.info/Mods/Skyrim-VR:
Typically something like Skyrim VR - USSEP 4.2.2 and SSE 1.5.97 Compatibility Patch is required to fix unresolved and other errors in the load order. Refer to modding guides how to setup the base game properly.

The worldspace record and any of its entries like the MHDT data conflicting are irrelevant to the unresolved form ID error in the load order.
DynDOLOD will simply use the data from the winning record in its plugins.
The MHDT data on the worldspace record is irrelevant to LOD and occlusion generation.

Hi I tried to run Dyndolod for the 1st time and had this message pop up any idea how to resolve it?

[Window Title]
DynDOLOD

[Main Instruction]
Unresolved FormID [190BD206]

[Content]
Error in Sanctuary Reborn.esp DBS_PlayerDragonClawDisplay "DragonClaw Display" [ACTI:19013087]

Click on this link for additional explanations and help for this message

For qualified help and advice or to report a problem make a post on the official DynDOLOD support forum.

FIX THE ERROR as explained in the help OR PERMANENTLY REMOVE THE PLUGIN.
Ignore wrong "advice" to only temporarily disable plugins, which does not FIX THE ERROR.
Do not try to circumvent the error message, FIX THE ERROR instead.
This is not a DynDOLOD error. DynDOLOD is not crashing.
There is an unresolved error in the mentioned plugin that needs to be fixed.

Shumer is becoming the bane of my existence.

Two days and nights i've spent on making Dyndolod and his prerequisites work and now i'm being beaten by one stupid mod at the very end.  I would laugh if i wasn't so angry.

This is the mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/28039?tab=description&BH=0

And this is the error message Dyndolod gives me.  Can someone tell me how to fix this?  I am no stranger to xedit but i could get some starting advice in this particular case.  Thanks in advance.

*Edit* It's an unresolved error involving a missing texture record, i'm going to extract the mesh to track down the texture.

*Edit2* It's a missing texture set.  I'm going to create one myself and make the static record point to it.  That should fix it.

Moved to the appropriate thread for the error message.

For futre reference, see https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Post-Logs which DynDOLOD log and debug log to upload when making posts. Use the Copy message to clipboard link to copy and paste the message text instead of making a screenshot as explained at https://dyndolod.info/Official-DynDOLOD-Support-Forum#Copy-and-Paste-Text

It seems in the current version of the mod edits were made to ShumerWorld.esm without updating ShumerNWa.esp accordingly. The author should be using xEdit error check to find and address unresolved form and probably unintended injected records issues in their mod.

If you follow proper modding practice, then you will find such unresolved form ID errors with xEdit long before using DynDOLOD. If a mod full of errors causes you so much trouble you could just not use it, or help the author fixing these issues by reporting them or actively helping with the fixes if you know how.

For most meshes, you can use the xEdit Asset Browers (CTRL+F3) to see which textures it uses without having to unpack and open the NIF in NifSkope.

Thank you.  I know about the "checking for errors" feature of Xedit, i've used it freely in the past.  The only reason i did not use it for every mod in my load order this time is because i was in a hurry to play the game after spending two weeks building my load order.

That was a mistake that i wont repeat.

Your tool is amazing by the way because it caught irregularities that even LOOT and Wrye Bash missed.  If i have a stable playthrough it'll be thanks to Dyndolod.
