How do I get my mod guide hosted on STEP Wiki? And are adult mods allowed in such a guide?

Recommended Posts

I have some ideas brewing in my head for a expansive mod guide for Fallout 4, in the vein of SRLE LoTD (in the sense of mod quantity).

But I also wanna make it as immersive as possible, and offer players the option of using adult mods.

So first, I'm wondering how I'd go about getting such a mod guide hosted on STEP. And second, I'm wondering if adult mods are allowed on STEP (primarily Realistic Salacious Encounters, which, amongst other things, feature the ability to take a **** and get taken to Pound Town by raiders).

Browse to the page in your namespace that you want to create using a URL like this:

https://wiki.step-project.com/johnnywatts:Title of Your Modlist/

then click the link to "edit this page" to create the page. Note that alternate body mods can be used (although you should at least offer non-nude variants as an option), but adult mods are prohibited.

Greg,

Thank you for your response. I guess I will have to host it somewhere else, because RSE adds so many features that changes how the game is played significantly.

But before I dismiss hosting the guide here completely, I wanna know what specifically would make a mod guide prohibited on STEP? e.g., is it the linking to adult modding websites, or simply talking about it?

If it's the former, would it be acceptable to provide a description of how to install the adult mods (on a separate section, describing which mods, and what the mod/load order is), but no links are provided?

One of the goals of STEP is to remain as "family friendly" and "safe for work" as possible so anything related to adult content should be posted elsewhere. Allowing adult content really opens a can of worms that requires adding a "gate" to the websites that require users to verify they are 18 or older to enter and limits community participation by users that aren't interested in or may be offended by such content.

As long as the "adult content" isn't hosted on STEP, by STEP. Then there's really no issue. Simply put up a (NSFW) notice and you'll be fine. STEP currently has one mod that defines the Guide as "adult"; Better Males. This link is defined as NSFW and we provide direct access to the files so users don't have to visit the Nexus page since it has nude male bodies on it. You might consider doing the same.

I'm...confused. So can I make a guide on STEP or not?

Obviously, I'm more than happy to slap the first few pages with nothing but NSFW notices. But maybe I'm misunderstanding one of these two posts?
