I can do a many things, but adding nonsensical features that nobody needs is not really on my list of things to do.

let's start from the very beginning:

1) use flat billboards for trees lods as object lods we have repetition of silhouettes:

2) standard generator behavior when generating trees lods - randomly, to exclude repetition of identical silhouettes turned to the player by one side.

For some reason, the plugin creator must have copied the same rotation for all like-tree references.

i provided above game screenshot of usual Skyrim.

Generating trees in object LOD is done to leave behind the limitation and quirks of tree LOD.

One limitation and quirk of tree LOD is that it does not allow rotation so that all LOD trees are always straight up-right.

Object LOD uses 3D LOD models. They can have rotation on all 3 axis. Object LOD *needs* to have the same rotation as the full model for best transitions. Nobody expects a rock or farmhouse to be randomly rotated.

If you do not like the rotation of full models and consequently of their object LOD models, change the rotation of the references you do not like.

No matter what settings I use it seems xLODGen crashes when I'm using the " SSE-Terrain-Tamriel.esm" plugin. When I don't use the plugin I am able to see the "LOD Generation Complete" message displayed at the bottom with no crash. Anyone know a fix for this?

Post the log and bugreport if it exists if you require help determining the cause of the problem.

Friends. Help me
I have a problem with SSE LODgen.
Does not continue after loading files.
It gets stuck in this part and doesn't open the setup screen:image.thumb.png.da9b19d810890e52b4c8210b8f8f06d3.png

If the message window doesn't react to clicks it means the options window might be somewhere off screen.

Start xEdit/xLODGen with -resetsettings or hold CTRL+SHIFT+ALT to backup and reset the settings.
Or manually rename the settings file c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Skyrim Special Edition\Plugins.sseviewsettings

After clicking into the message window should make the options window active if it is off screen or behind other windows. Pressing ALT+F4 should close the options window regardless. Then the message window should react to input or mouse clicks. It should then close without issue. In that case a a log file should be created/appended to. Upload that if the problem persists.

Otherwise rename to SSEEdit or start with -edit -sse see what happens.

Hello, thanks for your hard work and your contribution to modding Sheson! I have a minor issue I was hoping someone could help me with. Outside whiterun there is an LOD statue floating in the sky. I found the LOD mesh: https://ibb.co/qsxfHSr but when I try to delete just the floating mesh, it also deletes other parts of the LOD that it seems connected to, like the guard tower. Here is the bug in game: https://ibb.co/WPsGdfm any idea how to fix this?

That is a wild edit in a plugin. Remove the reference from the plugin adding the wild edit, then generate LOD.

Use DynDOLOD for better and easier tree and object LOD generation. It usually detects such wild edit, prints a log message identifying the plugin and reference and shouldn't generate LOD for it.

Hello, I keep getting this one bug where xLODGen (SSELODGen) fully stops at a specific .dds. I've protected my folders from any anti-virus with exclusions, made a dedicated folder separate from the default data one, got the correct vc_redist installed. I've pasted the error below and sorry to bother, but I haven't found something even similar on any other thread.

"exception class : Exception
exception message : Could not create alpha layer with LSnow01 [LTEX:0000089B] (Textures\Landscape\Snow01Landscape.dds, Textures\Landscape\Snow01_n.dds) for [LAND:0000DE02]: Invalid image data passed to TImagingCanvas constructor (Access violation encountered when getting info on image at address 000000009336F074.)."
