Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition

Recommended Posts

Well I ran Skyrim Performance monitor and am using 4,009mb out of 4,096mb. Maybe that is the issue. That is also with my inis and monitor set at 1080p. I also checked Stunning Statues and It looks like I installed it correctly. I should try disabling it. I guess now I am just asking for recomondations on whether I should chose medium or low in skyrims launcher or if I need to use a lower resolution landscape mod. Any advice would be a good starting point.

well my only recommendation is to scale back your texture resolutions wherever possible don't use 4K stick to 2K or even 1K for smaller things

I have a few questions.  Why don't you use more esl patches? Especially when many of them are already provided.  There is a few patches on the merge page that could be deleted if we just used the esl patches on install vs esp.

2) Have you ever taken a look at 3d trees or 3d landscapes?  They are coming a long way.

3) What big updates do you see coming down the pipe?

Kudos on the mod guide btw.

1. well I am off the opinion the merge patches is better than flagging them as ESLs. That being said i will probably be adding a new Tag for mods that can be safely esled.

2. I did but I prefer EVT.

3. There a few things in the pipeline yes.

I currently have 3 phases planned so far:

Phase 1: Update to latest mod versions.

Phase 2: Roll out KYE Update (This will require various patches to be updated that I have already done on my end + getting users used to the correct flow for KYE zPatchers).

Phase 3: Roll Out zMerge Integration (this is probably the trickest for users that are unfamiliar with zMerge).

Phase 1 will happen either this week or maybe on Monday since I like to do my guide editing on Mondays.

The reason I ask is because is now a good time to start building the guide?  Or is there big changes that I should hold off for?  I did notice there is a change to KYE patching.

well, that at the end of the day is up to you Phases 2 and 3 will like take a few weeks for things to be properly implemented and things to settle down as the users base gets used to the new way of doing things.

Hi all,

I am playing through this great â€guide†and have reached a hiccup. I cannot find the caravan to take me to Elsweyr. I have the â€It belongs in a museum†quest, I am lvl27, passed Way of the voice but Falkreath is empty. No caravan in sight.

Any ideas anyone?

depending on how old your version of the guide is the caravan could be in Bruma.

Guide version post 19/11/18 have the Beyond Skyrim - Bruma Moonpath to Elsweyr Synergy Patch which moves the caravan to Bruma.

Yes! That is the one I have....thank you! I will go to Bruma :)

It belongs in a museum still refers to Falkreath though, maybe known but in case something needs to be changed :)

Shadriss - thanks.  I know what you mean.  However, if one were to follow the guide as doctrine, installing everything and following every step, it should produce a deterministic load order that one could verify against as a sanity check I think?

You'd think that, but that makes the assumption that someone actually uses ONLY the guide listed mods... and I don't think anyone really does. I certainly don't. Unless the game doesn't run correctly, I wouldn't worry about LO too much... and even if it is a bit unstable, there are a lot of things I'd look at before I started messing with LO. Again, Trust LOOT. That's what it's there for.

I lowered the screen resolution for the game ... does it need to be the same as what the display actually is?

No, though using native is generally best if the setup can handle it. If it can't, then you do what you have to do.

@DodgyBob This guide contains well over 255 esp - do not run loot untill told to so in the finishing line, Loot will uncheck esps in the right pane to reach the 255 limit also some masters for esps will not be available untill later in the guide.

You've mentioned this, and Lexy has as well, but I've never seen LOOT disable plugins on me... is this some new behavior in the last build or something? I've seen WB do it, and xEdit throws a fit as well, but LOOT has never complained to me.

Happy New Year everyone!

So glad to see that Konahriik's Accoutrements is finally in SSE. The Dragonborn Gallery just looks...empty without those Dragon Priest mannequins. Hopefully that can now be integrated.

BurdenCarrier hi! I would hold off for now with this mod, as there are a few issues with it at present, that have been brought to the author/porter of that mod. As LOTD is due a major update(LOTD v5), it has had the integration and support for that mod removed....a patch may follow later to support it again. If you can wait a little for it, that would be the course of action
