Well, Skyrim.ESM is going to be loaded by SSEdit because it's needed for EVERYTHING else, so it's really 261. My guess is you haven't made all the merges you are supposed to yet - at the time of Great Equalizer run, you should be down around 230 - 240 plugins.

Looking for a little advice. In testing my install, I've found a 100% CTD when trying to get to Falkreath, either by foot or fast travel. An interesting note, I tried making a new character and choosing the alternate start as a patron of Deadman's Drink tavern in Falkreath, which worked. I was able to load into Deadman's Drink fine, and I was able to exit the building into Falkreath, but CTD'd after taking two steps outside.

 

Any advice on where to start looking?

 

One other note, I don't seem to have this issue anywhere else on the map.

I'm trying to run The Great Equalizer. But I have this error:

Re-downloaded Legacy of the Dragonborn HOTFIX-11802-4-1-3 and replaced the LegacyoftheDragonborn.esm. But the error persists...

Have you turned off ALL of the mods you used in the merges then? Once the merges are done, you don't need them - I usually turn them into optionals so they don't even show in the left pane, and only swap them back to rebuild merges.

Yes i did. The ESp count is normal (237). Now i have problems with The Great Equalizer  :rofl: .

To let you know, I updated all the mods down to today that were on nexus since the last guide update ... And I just notice that with the last mod " Know your enemy" the "Kye Patch Merged" throw an error when merging for:  kye_srceo_patch.esp

 

I just ignore the error...  which hopefully will not have big consequences.

First of all thanks for all the work, I replicated about 85% of the guide and the results are stunning!

 

I just wasnt ready to give up on CBBE yet so I replaced all the non CBBE stuff. 

BTW: Inhabitants of Skyrim -> Ordinary Women -> 3dNPCs -> HOTT 3DNPCs generates absolutely reliable CTDs getting rid of Ordinary Women fixes it^^ 

 

I am experiencing strange flickering textures (https://forum.step-project.com/topic/13611-flickering-textures-in-skyrim-se-what-is-this-effect-called-and-what-to-do-about-it/) so  I replaced Phoenix ENB by Natural View Tamriel ENB which lessens the Problem... Calibrating stuff did not help, I am quite sure it has to do with light and or shadows but I do not really know what to do about it...

 

 

For those with to many mods in the Load Order:

 

Hiding stuff via MO2 is more effective than moving it to optionals, you are then able to use a windows search for *.mohidden if you cannot find some esp... saves a lot of time :-)

The Great Equalizer only cares about weapons and armor, so you can deactivate all esps that are not masters and don't contain any weapons or armor. (The High Quality Sound stuff, World Map....)

If you are still over 254 at the Wrye Bash step no problem:

Deactivate ESPs from the bottom of your load order upwards until you reach 254 (or FE), do Wrye Bash, let him deactivate all the mods that get incorporated into the bashed patch, if you are unsure if all the deactivated mods are already in your previously built patch let rim run the patch else you can skip this, now exit Wrye Bash activate all your manually deactivated esps from Bashed Patch upwards, run Wrye Bash again... DONE!

Is marked as converted, but an already converted and cleaned .esp is provided by you. Maybe it´s better to remove the "Converted" tag? We don´t need to do anything with the replacer .esp.

Are there some headparts? Or are Headparts just for NPCs?

The Old Version 4.20 is not downloadable anymore. 4.4 and 4.5 have different Settings. I´ll still continue with the guide. Maybe provide the old 4.2 version or change the instructions for the new one?

 

There were more Mods somewhere that were updated on 12. and somewhere at the beginning of August. Dont know which ones they are though...

yes, I know going through the August Changelog right now then I will work on updating mods it might be a few days until I am all update again just please bare with me. Also please bare in mind it is still the Summer Holidays here in the UK. The kids aren't back in school for another 3 weeks so my time is limited until then. 

 

Edit: OK all up to date with Changelog and haven't crashed (Always a good sign) next to look over and work through the Trello Guide Maintenance Board.
