Lexy's: Legacy of The Dragonborn Special Edition

Recommended Posts

Anyone else having issues with Convenient Horses? I hadn't tested it til now. Did the new CH "intro quest" (bit annoying tbh) then grabbed Toccata, Sofia, and Jenassa and went to see how to get them to ride.

CH page says you should be able to tell them to go buy themselves a horse but this dialogue doesn't appear for me, no matter how much money I have (and yes I've tried it at various stables). Tried toggling EFF's 'Followers ride horses' off and on, neither changes anything. Sofia will ride her horse if toggled from Sofia MCM. Jenassa and Toccata won't ride if EFF ride is toggled on, and won't buy their own horse no matter how EFF is toggled. If I'm right near the stable where I bought my original horse Toccata sometimes runs up and randomly grabs another horse from that stable, but that's the only time she'll ride.

I'm sure I'm just overlooking something but can't figure out what. Looked through CH's forum and couldn't find any answers. It does say mod-added followers using custom voice (including 3DNPC) may be incompatible, but Jenassa is vanilla and in theory should work.

Hey, guys, I have added zEdit, mator edited Hishy enchantment fix module and instructions on how to generate the patch take a let me know what you think.

The [hishy-npc-enchant-fix] instructions on the Prerequisites page are good, except that you might want to tell people to use zEdit version 0.2.0.  I tried following the zEdit patch instructions with v0.3.0 and got a white screen when I "... right click in the left panel and select 'Manage Patchers' from the popup menu."

make sure you are using the correct version of the Script you MUST use the Fixed vesion by Mator https://github.com/matortheeternal/hishy-npc-enchant-fix/tree/mator-master

The zEdit instructions on the Wiki page are good, except you should probably change line #5 to

Wait until zPatch.esp appear at the bottom of the Load Order, or until a message tells you the patch is completed.

This will ensure people who don't have the bottom of the zEdit load order visible will know the process has completed.

DarkladyLexy, the zEdit patch shoiuld be placed after the Bashed Patch and before DynDOLOD output, mirroring it's Wiki page placement?

Starting up a new game after processing the last few updates, and just noticed something odd during character creation.  Male characters now have a *lot* of "empty" hair options, the vast majority are just the buzz cut, with the occassional new hair-do scattered between the empty ones, with all the "Vanilla" hairdoes crammed into the VERY end.

At first, I thought "Immersive KS Hairdoes" was to blame, but looking over it, it's not the cause, as KS Hairdos only add a handful of hairstyles.

I'm trying to install the Magical College of Winterhold but I am having a problem with some of its patches. I am missing the masters for the ELE patch and the relighting skyrim patches. The patches call for RelightlingSkyrim_SSE.esp and ELE_SSE.esp masters, but the ESPs for these respective mods are named something else. I can't rename the ELFX esp because several other esps use the current name as a master. How would I resolve this problem?

Use Wrye Bash to change what master's the patches are looking for.

Should also just be able to put the MCOW lighting patches into the ELE Merge, I believe.

My game is *really REALLY* DARK!  Smaller light sources like the horn-candles, have a flame and a halo, but aren't actually *producing* any light.  Larger light sources like braziers seem to have the light output of your average candle.  Turning off SkyrimSE Re-Engaged ENB gives some grayscale range to the blackness, but doesn't fix the fact that anything not lit directly by the sun is smothered in living, tangible darkness.  I've tried using a torch, but it's light fall-off is so sharp i can't see anything I'm not standing two steps away from.  It's early game and I have no light spells, but so far I have no reason to think they wont' suffer from the exact same problem.

There are a *lot* of lighting mods in this list, and I'm hesitant to just start turning them off and on, willy-nilly.  Anyone know the likely culprit?  My gut says Enhanced Light & FX as I recall having a similar problem with LE back in the day whenever I used it.  I can't just "turn it off" because 5 other patches use it as a master, meaning I'd have to turn those off as well as the CLARALUX Merged patch, meaning I can't just test it in a vacuum without doing a *lot* of rebuilding.

EDIT:  I've just read up on Claralux and how it works.  I have got get out of Helgen before I can hit the Testing Zone and see if that can fix my issues.

Can try messing with the brightness settings in your ENB GUI. Shift + enter will usually bring up the GUI (bring up console first to pause the game). This video is for adjusting Rudy ENB, but it can help guide you in fine-tuning your own.
