Pelagius Wing - Unlit Candles

Do you consider silly how the Pelagius Wing, in the Blue Castle, has every candle and torch lit, even though no one goes there? Then, welcome. This little mod swaps every lit candle with their unlit versions, and deletes the warm embers in the chimney. Remeber to bring some light with you if you're using some ENB or mod to make interiors darker.

A simple yet effective immersion mod.

I wish the entire game was overhauled like this. Too many ruins and caves are unrealistically lit up with torches and braziers. I'd love a modder who examined each area and considered; is there anyone maintaining this torch/candle/brazier? Is there a reasonable amount of firewood/torches for them keep this area lit? The answer with a great many areas is "nope". We could have a much darker and immersive gameworld with the player character having to light the way.

According to this book, the draugr clean the ruins/tombs wherein they reside so it's not a reach to imagine them maintaining the torches/braziers.

I agree, besides, light in a game like this is very important for atmosphere, even if unrealistic. It is also unrealistic that we can generate fire from thin air, and set things alight. It wouldn't be hard to imagine that there are magical fires that burn for eternity, as several magical lights do.

Investigating the dialogue, the Pelagius Wing is cleaned by the staff once a year to dust for cobwebs only. If the staff feels it is so creepy they only dust it once a year I doubt they will have all the candles and fires going.

Ok, I agree, once a year does not make it sound as if the candles are kept alight.

Haven't done that quest in ages, so I wasn't sure anymore.
