Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback

Recommended Posts

Neo' date=' have you considered including Ethereal Elve Overhaul? You might want to add this too since you already have mods that improve humans, Khajiits and Argonians. Either way, this mod seems to do a little bit more than just retexture the elves of Skyrim though, so you may have to look into compatibility if you decide to use it. :)

I remember looking at that mod a long time ago and it seemed a compatibility nightmare, but I will take another look with my new mod list.
You're right, it is a compatibility nightmare, but it has several well deserved patches. It really is that good. I was using it in my very first builds; was reluctant to part ways with it.

Hello Neovalen, hello everyone.

I am sorry if the question has already been asked elsewhere - it must have been in all likelyhood, but I didn't find any answer on the forum so far. Do you think you will finalize SR LE  before the end of the year, or even sooner ? The reason why I allow myself to ask you this annoying question is that I probably won't be able to play any computer game for a long time after the end of this year for health reasons, and I would love to give Skyrim a last run with this brilliant guide once it's done. I had a great time playing Skyrim Revisited despite memory related CTDs and GPU limitations, now those are history but I'm running out of time and would like to know if there is any chance for this guide to be finalized within the end of 2014.

Anyway, thank you very much for your dedication, your choices and philosophy suit me perfectly. (Also don't pay attention to my English, I'm French).

Congratulations and keep up the good work !

Hey, Neovalen. First of I'd like to thank you for the great work you've done and still are doing!

I was just wondering if having masters not sorted properly (like reproccer.esp not having properly ordered masters all the time) can cause issues? I have never really cared about it before, but what kind of issues can that cause?

Thanks anistrophic.

So, i'm on the conflict resolution part of the guide. Everything seemed to be working well until I did the outfit section. It's late, i'm sure it's easy to misclick a file here or there. But I started to get CTD's before the "continue, new, load, etc" words popped on the screen.

In MO, I unchecked the "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" and the game works again.

I can start over again, but are there easy to make mistakes that would cause something like this?

Hi guys, and and many thanks.

I literally followed the SRLE guide with great care (for 2 days) and I have a problem with FNIS, I was supposed to get 3 meshes (FNISRoot_Behavior.hkx, defaultmale.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx), and instead of "FNISRoot_Behavior.hkx" I get "0_master.hkx".

I renamed "0_master.hkx" to "FNISRoot_Behavior.hkx", and I don't know if it's working right.

Any idea what the problem is ?

It's most likely an indication that you are missing a master file of the conflict esp. Open up all esps in tes5edit and see if it loads them succesfull o whether it gets stuck or gives an error message.

"Note: Since almost 18 months the FNIS Behavior structure was a three level tree with FNISRoot_Behavior.hkx beeing the root for all FNIS based mods. A construct I was quite proud of. But as it appears now, this construct has contributed to numerous load game CTD situations (thanks to tktk1 for pointing that out). So I have changed the behavior structure in a way that all custom animation mods are now linked to the standard file 0_master.hkx (which now will be generated instead). This has drastically reduced load game CTDs for several users."

So everything is in order, I need to delete FNISRoot_Behavior.hkx and let only the 0_master.hkx in "overwrite\meshes\actors\character\behaviors" ?

Thanks for the prompt response.

Hey, Neovalen. Firstly thank you so much for all the time and hard work you are putting into this awesome project! :)

Just wanted to ask a question, I have been putting together my "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" for the 3rd time now, and just had an Idea:

Would it cause any problems in making a different "SR Conflict Resolution.esp" for every section of the Conflict resolution part of the guide? i.e. "Cells Conflict Resolution.esp" and then "Faction Conflict Resolution.esp" and so on...

Just to save on time allowing me (and possibly others) to just redo a section and not having to redo the WHOLE Conflict Resolution.esp every time something major changes or has been added?

Or am I missing something and there is a way not to have to redo the whole patch everytime?
