bekcicandrej Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Yea, me too. This was my second go through as I messed up Windows last week :/ guess we'll be waiting.Hopefully someone of authority will take down the moddrop
XenomorphQueen Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Oh my god, second time for me too but this time I'm sticking to the guide 100%. Last time I changed things and made my life harder when it came time to do conflict resolution, though it was valuable as I learned a lot. I spent like two weeks on making sure everything was good and then windows glitched out and I had to reset my computer. I was crushed lmao.
Nozzer66 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Eli's seem to be back up and it would appear that MxR and ESO have backtracked quite a bit on their support of ModDrop.
XenomorphQueen Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 The only other ones I've seen so far that are still down are the ones by MannyGT. There may be more but I haven't run into them yet.
DarkladyLexy Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 I was totally unaware that ModDrop even existed until I saw Michael's aka Gamerpoets Video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVhB3c9YZC4 I want to absolutely clear from the outset I have never used ModDrop and never will. No support will be given period for anyone using it. 1
berndaroy Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Nozzer /Lexy...not that it effects me now as I'm playing, but if MannyGT still has his mods hidden for awhile, whilst this situation is resolved, Claraux might be an option for LOS, though i will admit I'm not sure of the work involved to make it fit with the guide.......ready to go down in a hail of bullets lol To Lexy's post regarding Moddrop yaya in full agreement Edited December 23, 2017 by berndaroy
DarkladyLexy Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 don't as of yet since it is Christmas so I am on holiday for 2 weeks no updates from me until the new year we'll see how the land lies then.
Nozzer66 Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) I would like to see ModDrop disappear completely. I like the idea of building a mod pack that you can install in one click, sure, who wouldn't? However thieving mods and dropping them into a massive pot is not the way to do it. If there were some way that the press of a single button would simultaneously download all mods from a site at once, run fomods and installers, take care of hiding/deleting un-needed files and THEN write the whole lot all to the mod manager of your choice then come back after say 24 hours and endorse mods then fine. That's not going to happen, though. Physically impossible. Berndaroy, Nope. Not going to chop and change stuff over what is possibly a temporary thing. If MannyGT doesn't unhide his stuff in a timely fashion then maybe we'll look at it. I'm 100% behind a modder's right to do what they wish with their mods. Edited December 23, 2017 by Nozzer66
berndaroy Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 Nozzer i fully agree and understand: This may be a temporary situation....i was merely speculating in the long run should things go south...personally I'm happy with the guide as is, and am finally playing and not adjusting/upgrading etc...hoping to have a long playthrough. Side note: Are you going to have a barbie(Braai/barbecue) and a few ales over the festive period with the feet up. You've got the weather for it, unlike here...grey and miserable oh and not to mention boxing day match?
Rogueleeder Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 I miss the days of living among the kiwis and have barbecue on the beach at Christmas with case of L&P. Wasn’t shoveling snow like I am now in Canada lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
berndaroy Posted December 23, 2017 Posted December 23, 2017 (edited) Mate. I'm Australian. You need to ask? Wasn’t shoveling snow like I am now in Canada lol People say they wish for a white Christmas....give me the sun and beech every time Edited December 23, 2017 by berndaroy
Elektroshock Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 (edited) Mate. I'm Australian. You need to ask? Hahah I'm cracking into a carton and my bottle of tequila here in SE QLD Edited December 24, 2017 by Elektroshock 1
zerohaste Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 Is anyone running NLA and an NLA based ENB with this? I was originally going to make a post asking for help with some windows being way too bright in Whiterun, but then came across some posts elsewhere about some possible NLA and ELFX compatibility issues and deleted the post. A quick look through TES5Edit doesn't show any issues though. The main reason I ask is because I'm having an issue with Whiterun window textures being too bright. Not just the windows, but the entire texture.ENB toggled off: https://imgur.com/utfDtUTENB toggled on: https://imgur.com/pFJE5Uo The middle two windows. I've had two separate NLA based ENBs show this issue. I'll probably try installing the ENB and weather mods as in the guide tomorrow sometime to see if it is the issue, but I thought I'd post here in case someone else has this as well and can provide an answer sooner. Or maybe it's just always been like that and I just never noticed in any previous playthrough.
Nozzer66 Posted December 24, 2017 Posted December 24, 2017 (edited) Hahah I'm cracking into a carton and my bottle of tequila here in SE QLD Tequila... wince. I had an extremely ugly evening with that once when I was still a teen. It wasn't pretty, believe me. But I did win the drinking contest, at least, so I'm told. All I recall is waking up looking at the diff housing of an F100 Ford. Is anyone running NLA and an NLA based ENB with this?
