Ganda Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Ok for some reason I am having a difficult time trying to find the new Spluff tool searching in nexus yields nothing and looking on Google for "Uganda Spluff tool" also is no help. Could you provide a link by chance?Dunc is obviously dyslexic 1
paul666root Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I'm still having a CTD when fighting frostbite spiders in my test, and an suspecting a bad mesh somwhere. Looking at the Spluff forum, that led me to NifScan and Nif Healer. I've never used any of these tools before, and the documentation on them is ... eclectic, to say the least. Can anyone give me (and others) some pointers of how to use them to, say, check for and fix bad meshes?i used Nifhealer. It's easy just put in the in folder the nifs from the mod and run it then on the out will be the fixed ones.I never used Nifscan before. Anyway frostbite spider should be from immersive creatures i think
InstantKor Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 https://github.com/GandaG/spluff/releases/tag/13 from https://forum.step-project.com/topic/11199-spluff/Thank you! Looking at it its not Uganda but just Ganda which may explain why it wasnt popping up for me.
Monobloc Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 Nif healer is quite simple, crash fixes will open a windows if the game crashes because of a corrupted nif. The first one depicted in the said windows (next to 0.0 sec) is the corrupted one, put the said mesh in the "In" folder of nifhealer, run the bat file and done, in the out folder you'll have the healed mesh.
Thalioden Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 OK guys/Ladies time for a little announcement as many of you are aware a few weeks ago my lovely Wife Lexy gave birth to our twin girls and they are a right handful I can tell you. Also a few days ago my boss called a somewhat unexpected meeting (but not totally unexpected to me) and announced he would be leaving the theatre I work at in October, since i am his deputy he has recommend me for a promotion. Now this means my already busy schedule will become even busier and I won't have as much time to look after things as much as i already do. So I have decided to take a little break from things. With that in mind I have pretty much handed things over to Paul he done a awesome job over the past 6 months to make sure I don't screw things up so badly I break everyone game. I have also now granted him access to the Nexus Page so can keep the CR up to date in my absence. Never fear I am not gone for ever and I will be poking my head in when I can. Thanks to you and your wife for all the hard work. Congrats on the new family members and promotion. As one who is further along in the family adventure (my youngest started college this year), I will affirm dunc's statement that you are making the right life decision. Best wishes.
minos55 Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I am runing nifhealer throgh all the mashes right now and it found some meshes in legacy of dragonborn also that it fixed. why aren't we runing healer through all of the meshes in guide on end anyway? any drawback to this?
dunc001 Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) No drawback at all, just time consuming And yes sorry Ganda, auto correction thinks you should be elevated to country status So yeah, use Spluff to extract the virtual meshes folder and run NifHealer on everything in it, then you can either drop any fixed nifs back into the original mods or create a new overwrite mod. Obviously with the latter you'd need to preserve the folder structure for them to be correctly applied. Edited August 28, 2016 by dunc001

sirjesto Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) I made a patch for extremely slow health regeneration. It can only be used if you are using the Imperious - Disparity Compatibility Patch.esp and MUST be loaded after that patch. https://www.mediafire.com/?fg8f4y3rclvvlep Edited August 28, 2016 by sirjesto

Always trouble these lods. Are you using the latest version of ReLinker. This only works correctly from v22 onwards. I'd suggest downloading it again. And can you confirm that you are following the instructions correctly for the trees merge in the first place - merging esps only, leaving the original mods active with esps removed/moved to optional?
