Wotanubis Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I'm currently playing on my girlfriend's PC, an AMD Athlon II X3 440 Rana 3.0GHz, 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) RAM with a SAPPHIRE 100283-3L Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit Video Card. I would love to have these mods with that gear, but I know any ENB would be too much; I might add FXAA Post Process Injector for that box. When I get my SSDI backpay in a few months I plan on building a new PC to run this. I would appreciate knowing if any of these mods conflict with each other and which ones would be alright for my current PC. I did a bunch of research and took a page cluttered with scribble and sorted it into what I think is the ultimate mod list. Pardon me if it could be categorized better. Maybe you'll find something to add to STEP! [spoiler=My Ultimate Mod List] Armor Mods: Morrowind’s Legendary Rings Shields of Skyrim Skyforge Shields aMidianBorn Book Of Silence Psychosteves Dragon Priest Mask Retexture Immersive Armors Immersive Armors for NPC Silver Dragon Armor Bloodwitch Armor Ritual Armor of Boethia Nightshade Armor Field Mage Armor Dandelion Sovngarde Steel Ifrit Armor Silverlight Armor Misogi Schwertlaite Guardian Plate Realmshatter Armor Razor Assassin Complete Dwarven Dwemer Power Armor Space Viking Dwemer Exoskeleton Followers: Natalie Vilja in Skyrim Akahaziir Serana’s Secret Move It Dammit Follower Trap Safety Animals: SkyTest – Realistic Animals and Predators More Village Animals 101 Bugs HD Birds of Skyrim Skybirds Birds and Flocks Ants In My Pantz Dragons Diversified Behemoth The Feathered Dragon Dwarven Mechanized Dragon Horse Armors Faster Horses Convenient Horses Less Annoying Barbas Scenic Carriages Places: Airship Dev Aveza The Asteria Elvenwood Bathing Beauties Reapers The Dark Tower Weapons: Unique HD Weapon Textures Dragonbone Weapons Unexpected Blades Hunter Traps Nepalese Kukri Nuada Blade Aetherium Aetherial Swords Dwarven Rifle More Artifact Bows Heavy Armory Dragonbone Crossbow Daedric Crossbow Arrows and Bolts Tweaked Characters: Dimonized UNP Body 83Willows Jenassa Marcurio Mystic Mayhem Beans Badass Women CoverWoman CoverKhajits Improved Eyes Skyrim LithFace Enhancement Better Males Better Beast Races High Quality Beards Eyebrows Match Hair Expanded Skyrim Presets The Ashen Race HD Cute Designs Ancient Nord Armor 1st Person Fix Khajit Cat Dash Animation Improvements: One Handed Female Idle Animation Dovahkin Relaxes Too Believable Hair ApachiiSkyHair Lovely Haitstyles Detailed Faces (?) Are Towns and Villages Real(which is recommended for T&V:E), Sharpshooters(I know it's resource intensive), Goddess, and Midhrastic ENBs just settings or something?
Farlo Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Yes, let me just sort through those several hundred mods right quick and check them for incompatibilities. :P We have threads for quite a few of those mods just looking at first glance (use the search tool), so your best bet for any non-STEP mod is to check there first.  This is exactly the point of the entire project, compiling a database of which mods work together and look fantastic.  You have a ton of mods there, and frankly there's no way for me to know for sure that they work unless I were to install them all and test it.  That said, I highly encourage you to follow the guide, set up Skyrim and STEP properly using Mod Organizer or Wrye Bash, and test it out yourself.  Of course we'd love to hear back with any interesting results.Would SkyrimHD or the Project Parallax series conflict with the Town & Villages Enhanced? Are Towns and Villages Real(which is recommended for T&V:E)' date=' Sharpshooters(I know it's resource intensive), Goddess, and Midhrastic ENBs just settings or something?[/quote']Skyrim HD and Project Parallax are simply texture mods, they don't add any actual objects/content to the game, so they should work with Towns and Villages Enhanced.Project Parallax requires that you install the ENBseries mod.  These are lighting/post-processing overhauls that enable the use of tessellation (iirc) on textures.  Skyrim's engine doesn't support this by default so an ENB is needed.ENBs aren't just settings, as I said above it injects another post-processor on top of the game which can then be configured using INIs.  All the different ENB files are simply tweaks of the original ENBseries to make the game look a certain way.
Wotanubis Posted December 6, 2012 Author Posted December 6, 2012 Â All the different ENB files are simply tweaks of the original ENBseries to make the game look a certain way. That's what I meant: the ENBs I mentioned are just setting tweaks for the ENBseries. Thanks for responding so promptly; clearing up that confusion and not seeing anything that would obviously conflict is a great help. Is there a masterlist for STEPs on this forum? I've looked at the categorized individual mods with the included tag, but I haven't seen an overall list.
Nirodha Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 I'd be surprised if that rig can run more than half of these simultaneously. I'm running with slightly better specs and I don't think I could run all of these. I would say prioritize based on your playing style. For example, my wife made fun of me for spending hours getting the best looking body textures, eyes, face, armor etc. Then I play almost exclusively in first person. It doesn't make any sense. I could have done without these mods and invested the VRAM in better looking trees or an awesome ENB or something.
