  1. ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=True is fine. Go ahead and set "VideoMemorySizeMb=4064". I need the memory patch info to help much more.
  2. I've switched away from the Sheson/SKSE memory patch to meh321/Sheson Crash Fixes so I'm working from memory but the memory log does not look right so, what is the path to your skse.ini and what are the settings in it. EDIT: to correct spelling
  3. There is a fair chance that your system is misidentifying your GPU. Set "ExpandSystemMemoryX64=false" for now. Try setting "ReservedMemorySizeMb=128" for now and if you don't experience stuttering lower it to 64. Download and run https://enbdev.com/download_vramsizetest.htm for dx9. Set "VideoMemorySizeMb=####" to the size it reports.
  4. Thoughts from an outsider looking in fwiw. If MO would have installed a mod correctly when installed automatically and gives the desired result for S.T.E.P. then it does not need additional instructions. If MO cannot install the mod automatically and/or does yield the desired result for S.T.E.P. then it needs additional instructions. You already have plenty of explanation on how to use MO and links to other resources if someone takes the time to actually read. To add something to help someone who prefers to manually check and/or install mods is doing them a disservice, they will benefit more from actually learning MO from the source (RTFM).
  5. What is the video card model? Does it only have 1Gb Vram? Why are you using "ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true"? Why are you using "ReservedMemorySizeMb=512"? What is Memory Blocks Log reporting?
  6. This looks like you're out of video memory, but I can't tell if you're running on a laptop or desktop (i7 3770T vs Amd Radeon HD 7800 M)
  7. Maybe try this first: Download SkyUI-Away 5.0 manually. Exact the files somewhere. Delete everything except the Interface/craftingmenu.swf file you want Re-archive it Install through MO
  8. SkyUI-Away 5.0 is compatible with SkyUI 5.0. You are using SkyUI 5.1, Maybe that's the problem
  9. I can't determine the current state of your .ini's as they appear to have gotten jumbled in your latest pastebin, but it looks like you still have a ways to go on correcting them before you move forward with testing.
  10. edit: delete for wrong info from me.
  11. uGridsToLoad=7 will only make it more difficult to troubleshoot your problems. If you are in the middle of a play-thru that you will not abandon then you will need to leave it at 7 and set uExterior Cell Buffer=64. Ideally you should set uExterior Cell Buffer=36 and uGridsToLoad=5 and start a new game for troubleshooting.
  12. Yes, your .ini's still need work. For example this combination of settings from your .ini will probably cause some problems: uExterior Cell Buffer=36uGridsToLoad=7
  13. Are your .ini files still being reset.
  14. From your enblocal.ini VideoMemorySizeMb=16256 this is probably wrong. Maybe try 4064 or better yet use https://enbdev.com/download_vramsizetest.htm to determine the correct size.
  15. Dependent, yes. The value of (uGridsToLoad + 1) squared is the value that should be set for uExterior Cell Buffer. meh321's settings are the recommended defaults so stick with them. That is to say for example fUpdateBudgetMS=1.2, you can either leave that line set like that or remove the line altogether and the result will be the same. Pay close attention because not all of those settings go into the same .ini file. EDIT: +1 for DoubleYou's comment.
  16. If you are using uGridsToLoad=5 (and you should be) then uExterior Cell Buffer=36 is the correct setting. (they are the default settings)
  17. Hi Gamer Poets, I have relied heavily on your videos to set up my game, thank you so much. In view of the quality information you provide to the gaming community I’m going to guess that your game set up is spot on. The people here are the experts (not me) so I’m sure they will help you sort it out, but I will relate the following story, maybe it will be helpful. Recently, on my usually utterly stable gaming rig I chased every possible CTD cause, reducing aggressive settings, reduce mod load, start new game, etc. Two weeks I’m fighting with it and finally I think I’ve solved everything and it CTD’s. I go to bed thinking it must be hardware and fearing it’s the GPU. The next morning my rig is dead, unbelievably my Seasonic SS 1250X Gold PSU has failed. I know the rail voltages had been perfect so I had eliminated it from consideration. Luckily I had a spare, and for the past two weeks no CTD’s or other issues. Skyrim on Win 10 runs on a knife edge, it doesn’t take much to make it fail. The above experience taught me a lot about the inner workings of Win 10 and how differs from other OS’s. It also reminded me to not assume anything.
  18. Thank you. I wasn't offended, I was just trying to set the record straight. :)
  19. It wasn't me, I like how the guide is set up now. I've followed it several time and have had no real problems understanding the instructions.
  20. Thank you Nebulous112, I see now that those were "proposed changes" from Aeradom. I know that MO can sort out "no data on top" correctly without intervention 99.9% of the time and it is very easy to correct manually if you choose to, but the instruction is reassuring to new modders. We were all n00bs once! (from a very recent modding n00b)
  21. I was going to vote to change nothing, but I see I'm too late. Maybe at least this one should be put back in: HD Ore And Ingots This mod is not packaged correctly. When installing this mod, double click on “HD Ore And Ingots†then right-click on the Data folder and choose [set data directory]. Untick fomod, and then Okay [OK] to install. because of the additional instruction to "Untick fomod"
  22. Crash Fixes 12.3 my be a problem, you could try 12.4 or go back to 11.
  23. Enhanced Blood Textures appears to be required for the S.T.E.P. patch so no simple test possible. I'm going to mark this as solved, as I remember this as being one of the mods I intentionally did not install on a previous build and I did not see the skyrimprefs.ini problem again until I updated to the latest S.T.E.P.. Again thank you all for your help.
  24. DoubleYou, That is it. I reinstalled it when I updated S.T.E.P.. The other weird thing about Enhanced Blood Textures, if you make kill on the first floor you will also find a blood pool on the second floor right above. Thank you, I will remove it later today to test.
