A little reading about EMSI leads me to believe that it is likely that their behavior blocking feature is where the problem is. I hope they can fix it for you. BTW "Thane" is a title, I am Joat_Mon.
-
Have you told EMSI to ignore that .dll?
-
You're Welcome. Maybe you could just disable EMSI when you're going to play the game. I doubt EMSI will "fix" it as it is working as intended.
-
Yes, it looks like EMSI is your problem.
-
I don't know that the latest update will be a problem, I have it blocked and I am still investigating. It would help find a cause if you would look at your Windows event viewer to see what error is being reported.
-
Did the latest (November) Windows 7 up date install yet? AND don't install it if it has not installed yet.
-
Go to Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer
-
Is event viewer providing any additional information?
-
Intel Watchdog timer will sometimes cause this, if it times out, which is as designed, but occasionally it is over aggressive and kills something that windows would have eventually started if given a little more time. I have uninstalled it because of that. Fix your driver issues.

Does event viewer provide any more info about which component stopped working? Do you have Intel Watchdog Timer installed?
-
What version of windows are you using?

Beta v1.2 just loaded. If any thing the green directly related to reflections is far worse. The wave/turbulence edges with green that I was seeing before might be gone, but it was just a quick check. @SparrowPrince is there anything go want tested to try and fix the green reflection problem? (I no water mods installed)
-
I have been using the Beta a couple days, the green is still present but much less noticeable, until you get the camera close to the water level.
-
Point The Way v2.01 released, fixes the water issues I was seeing in Skyrim. In Solsteim I can still find the green water issue but it is minor until the camera is close to water level.

STEP with Skyrim Special Edition (SSE) question
Joat_Mon replied to Siwel187's question in General Skyrim SE Support
1. No. Yes but it is WIP and not functional yet. 2. Not really IMO. 3. Yes but STEP relies heavily on SKSE which is not available yet, so STEP is not possible on SSE at this time. -
I had this. I looked in SSEEdit and I think Point The Way was not forwarding (?) height info. Problem 99.9% gone with PTW removed from my load order. At first I thought it might have been a timing issue I caused by setting time mult to 12, still wonder if there still might be an issue with that to a small degree.

Why do NPCs not give a sh*t that I'm stealing everything?

SSE & Modding - The early days

Has anyone tried? Skyrim Special Edition 1.1.51 Steam Beta https://beta-community.bethesda.net/topic/3046/skyrim-special-edition-1-1-51-steam-betaIt's supposed to fix missing NPC's that go missing. I had to use console commands to find a lot of NPC's and move them back where they belong. Once I move them back to their proper game space they seem to stay there and function normally. I assume using the beta means starting a new game? -
I put my gaming rig back on Win 7 last week, life is good again. My daily driver dual boots Win 10 and Linux, I spend most of my time in Linux so I think the Win 10 install is headed back to the Fast Ring, it can't be much worse and I get faster responses from Microsoft on issues.

Full system & video crash while on ENB
Joat_Mon replied to trackho's question in Post-Processing Support
+1 for TechAngel85's comments. I'll add the following because of this comment you made and the picture of the original failure. "...I had a nervous time when the BIOS at first didn't load up the HDD the first time around" Check first to see if your disk controller drivers are correct you chipset, I've seen a couple of occurrences of this on Win 7 machines with the most current updates installed and it can cause the kind of issues you describe. Get them from your OEM. DisableDriverMemoryManager=true - consider setting this to false as this setting was mostly for older AMD cards that were having problems with old drivers which have long since been repaired. Use https://enbdev.com/download_vramsizetest.htm to determine VideoMemorySizeMb= setting, use dx9 version and I recommend deducting between 250 to 400MB to give the game some breathing room until you confirm that you have solved your problems -

I was having a lot of problems searching the thread this morning and missed that entry. Sorry to have bothered you. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - DynDOLOD 2.18
Joat_Mon replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
This the first time I've used the new 2.xx installer, love how fast it is. I have these files installed and they seem to work okay in game but now MO reports that I am on v2.15. DynDOLOD-59721-2-18.7z DynDOLOD Resources-59721-2-18.7z Meta.ini = What have I done wrong? -
Make sure your are using the correct drivers for your chipset (msahci or iRST or etc.) Get them from your OEM. Don't use enterprise version. Are you still on the Fast Ring? Do you only have one drive?

Fallout 3 / FNV / Windows 10 Warning!
Joat_Mon replied to GamerPoets's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Late last month I was forced to roll back AMD drivers to the 8/31 release for myself and clients on 4 HD 7970's and 1 7950 on Win 7 and Win 10 in order to play Skyrim and other games (3 are gaming rigs). All are now back on the most current AMD driver release and everything is good again. All 3 nVidia GPU's for myself and clients are still rolled back (only one is a gaming rig). Two of the AMD GPU's dual boot Linux and had to be switched to the newest proprietary drivers to be trouble free on the 3.19.0.32 kernel.
