  1. Sorry, I hit enter instead of shift. I'll get that fixed now.
  2. Thank you Dodgy Bob. I look forward to having you aboard when you're able. This success of this guide will be a team effort to make certain all users (Retail Disk, Steam, or GOG) will be able mod their game. I should be able to trouble shoot the Retail Disk and Steam versions when the time comes, but I can't legitimize spending more money for games I have already purchased. So having others contribute to the GOG version will be greatly appreciated.
  3. I understand you are upset and frustrated. We will try to get to the bottom of the issues you are experiencing. I have learned from others that GOG game versions can set up files differently and may take some extra care to mod. As I don't have the GOG version myself, it is difficult for me to troubleshoot. When the guide is completed, there will most likely be other GOG users join us who will be experienced with modding GOG games. That's why we create these forum threads. We all try to help one another out. As for calling jdsmith2816 "an ******", I assure you he is not. He was just injecting a bit of his dry sense of humor into the conversation. Please try not to get offended when others comment. No harm is intended, especially from our long standing members who are experienced in creating mods and modding guides. Please comment anytime. I wouldn't know even half of what I do now if it weren't for your guidance. And I appreciate that you continue to work with me.
  4. I'm fixing to call it a night. My game is running smoothly and looks fantastic. I love the new UI. I have installed up through the Miscellaneous Overhauls section. There will probably be a bit more tweaking that I will do, but I need some rest. Tomorrow I will attempt to finish the entire Overhauls section and move on to the rest of the guide. Everyone who might have jumped ahead in installing the guide may wish to review it again thoroughly and make certain that your mods are installed per the instructions. I have another mod author working alongside me, helping me to catch my mistakes as well as giving me great recommendations. I feel confident that my instructions are sound.

  6. Some revising of the guide is underway today. A few mods are being rearranged for install order and possibly a complete revision of the UI section. Just a heads up, this would not be a good day for users to try to follow the guide. I'll try to remember to note all the changes when I have completed them. Currently the changes are: Clean the Official Plugins has been moved just below Install Essential UtilitiesRemoved from Extenders and DLL Enhancements Oblivion XP Update has been move to the UI Section DarkUId DarN has been move to the UI Section Oblivion Reloaded has been moved to the UI Section because of some file dependencies for DarN UI. Hopefully by moving these mods lower in the install order, we can more easily track down common issues.
  7. Removed Elz Realistic Gravity because Oblivion Reloaded supports Realistic Gravity.
  8. Oblivion.ini tweak suggestions have been modified to match Alenet's recommendations for Oblivion Reloaded. Revised sr_Oblivion_Stutter_remover.ini tweak recommendations.
  9. We'll have to check with ponyrider0 on this one. You can try adjusting with either DarN in game, or the Hud Status Bars - base.ini. The beauty of these UI features is that they can be adjusted to user preference. Make certain to read the documentation provided for each. The Nexus forums are also a useful read for these mods as users will often post their solutions to certain similar issues. Basically, I just need to review my instructions by installing it with Wrye Bash on my laptop and test it out in game. Then I move over to my desktop to install with Mod Organizer and test. Until I am satisfied with my own setup, I don't feel comfortable letting users know that is is ready for them to test. Modded Oblivion CTDs are a common issue and often times a user is forced to trouble shoot the underlying problem. Over the years I've learned that installing my mods in sections, just I have it categorized in the guide, helps me to identify these issues a little easier. Most often I have found that it is related to a bad ini tweak, or load order. These are issues I need to resolve and instruct the user how to do the same. Also, there may be a few mods that will need further detailed instructions, such at deleting some textures or meshes that we do not want to over ride some other mods that may have been installed before it.
  10. LOL, at my rate of editing today you may even pass me by before I finish the Overhauls section.
  11. It did the same for me. Ponyrider0 created me a fixed version that I will share for you from my google drive account. I can't upload this to our Nexus page because I haven't requested permission from the author yet All I ask is that you please give the original author endorsement for the download and please do not publicly upload or share this fixed version outside of our group. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1VPqYEh4USbG-q5EN8pKAL_EgYecmr9ty/view?usp=sharing
  12. I'm changing the instructions for Wrye Bash users to use CBash. If we do happen to run into any problems along the way, we will address them then. This instruction is being changed because CBash doesn't complain and throw up errors with Supreme Magicka and Tamriel Rebuilt.
  13. I thought I had tried that before, and it does not work even tagging it with No Merge.
  14. Hmm, let me give that a try. It's annoying trying to disable it every time for sure.
  15. Yes, let's use the newer versions for everything right now. We will create any patches that are needed later on.
  16. Have you noticed the " " with other BAE extractions? I'm wondering if I should put a "NOTICE: Delete " " before each mesh." in the BAE section.
  17. Oh, very good. I wonder if I need to include this in the guide for others who might have the same issue?
  18. Ok, so if Installing Missing and Annealing does not resolve the issue, I'm not certain what should be done. Is your game still CTD when launching with only the extra Vanilla + DLC Meshes & Textures installed?
  19. Have you tried to deactivate all of the active plugins except for Oblivion? Try that first. Have only the following plugins active: Oblivion.esm DLCBattlehornCastle.esp DLCFrostcrag.esp DLCHorseArmor.esp DLCMehrunesRazor.esp DLCOrrery.esp DLCShiveringIsles.esp DLCSpellTomes.esp DLCThievesDen.esp DLCVileLair.esp Knights.esp This is your core installation. Start one by one reactivating plugins according to the installation order. I believe there is a mod that is installed incorrectly. It's easy to do and easy to miss afterwards. This is how I typically track down issues for my setup.
  20. That is very odd. And you are certain that it is the Vanilla + DLC Meshes and Textures that is crashing the game? As you haven't installed anything past the UI section yet, I'll try to review some issues to see what may be common for others with the mods up to this point. The first one I'm thinking of is DarN, making certain to change the Fonts in the Oblivion, ini. We'll try to narrow this down. But I think it is a good idea to review the other mods as well.
  21. Yes, if Wrye Bash hasn't already done so. I'll add it to the guide to check on that.
  22. After running tes4lodgen and tes4ll try Install Missing on the mods flagged red. Ponyrider0 will be away for a couple of weeks, but may be able to help us shed some light on what may be happening.
  23. I believe MOB_OCO2 Facelift may be the change in Jiubs head. I didn't see it as an issue. We can check with ponyrider0 on this one. I haven't experienced the CTD you mention. I have my installation set up exactly as I have it in the guide. For this you may need to try following those instructions again and reinstall the mod. It is typical for Wrye Bash to complain about mods that overwrite others, QTP3 will be one those it complains about as well when we get to the point of installing it. Annealing should work. You can also right click on the mod, select Install Missing, and see if that works for you.
  24. Thank you for pointing all of these issues out to me. I'll try to finish the Overhauls section tomorrow. :)
  25. Sorry for my absence yesterday. It was a long day, but we have my brother moved into his new apartment. @ Schvanys_Epitome I'll review all your comments and try to address them by this evening, tomorrow at the latest.
