well, there are a couple issues I've caught that do not quite make BethINI just a click preset and save. The first being that if you are using SFO, you have to go over to Visuals and manually set Grass Diversity up to 7 (It stays at 3 even on Ultra). To match the ini recommendations on Step, you have to use the Ultra preset (As anything lower does not meet the recommended setting for uiMaxSkinnedTreesToRender, iMaxDecalsPerFrame, iMaxSkinDecalsPerFrame.) My one and only question is that if I am using ENBoost, shouldn't Anisotropic Filtering automatically be put to None?

Well, I've gotten half-way through the whole BethIni thing and.. I don't even know what settings I should use. Should I just mirror the settings in the ini pages already?

Like I stated in the previous comment, when you reach a certain distance the LOD tends to switch rather noticably. Much like this here: https://youtu.be/TGJ0yzNR0xA I am looking for a way to get the range that occurs pushed back a bit further. BethIni? I'll have to look into that.

Alright, it seems to have fixed the issue I was having, partially. There is no longer a smaller tree that magically changes to a taller tree, but it seems that in the same distance when I get close, the LOD seems to change drastically from lower detail to higher detail, which then causes noticable studders and fps drops. Is there any way to remedy this by allowing the higher detail to load further out?

I will give that a try. Thank you for giving me an insight on how these billboards work. EDIT: On that note, should I think of the STEP Compilation as a sort of billboard?

I may just install 1.87 of SFO if having 2.5b is conflicting too much with STEP's Compilation Installer if that is whats causing the issue.

SFO Billboards (2.5b) are right after Skyrim Flora Overhaul 2.5b. Clicking on SFO Billboards shows that only one mod is overwriting it... and that is STEP Compilation Installer - High Res - 2292m. Would you like me to list the conflicts that the STEP Compilation is causing?

Alright, got everything in working order after a bit of tweaking and shifting things around, but now I have a new issue regarding (I am certain) SFO. The trees and foliage appear to be popping in closer for SFO. At a distance I would see the typical tree, but when I get close enough, the SFO version would just pop right in over it.. I am not sure what us causing this, but it is close enough to be noticed. Is there any way to fix this?

By load order, do you mean simply drag Skyrim Flora Overhaul and the SFO Billboards down right below Tree HD in the left panel of MO?

I wanted to give SFO 2.5b a try to see how well it works, but it seems I've already ran into an issue right off the bat. The trees look... odd, the trunk looks greenish with one texture, but then it looks like it cuts to a different texture below and above it. I've also noticed the branches look very off and 'flat' as well? I can only guess it is because I did not disable any of the .dds files that it states to hide/delete in 1.87. But the catch is, in 2.5b, not all the files that are supposed to be hidden exist, and those that do still exist, I am afraid to touch. Dirtcliffs folder still exists (dirtcliffsroots01.dds shows being modified back in 2013 and the _n counterpart shows to of been modified in 2012, so I can assume those are safe to hide) Volcanic_ash_01 and both 04's no longer exist in 2.5b Fieldgrass02.dds and it's _n counterpart still exists (both modified 2013), so those may be safe to hide as well. Now this is where it gets tricky treepineforestbranchcompsnow.dds no longer exists, but there is treepineforestbranchcompsnowl.dds and treepineforestbranchcompsnowl_n.dds.. which I can only assume the former is safe to hide, but I am uncertain about the latter. TamrielTreeLod.dds still exists, but is that needed for the 2.5b Billboard, or can that be safely hidden as well?

LOOT states there is 48 ITMs in Birds and Flocks (in the Hearthfire Cleaned version), but the detailed instruction page states that it requires cleaning, but not how many ITMs there are. Also, when I cleaned it, apparently it removed 50 records.. which is definitely not what was stated on LOOT... Suggestions?

I am not sure if this is an oversight, but in the Bashed Patch section, it states that "Enhanced Lighting for ENB-Lite" has LOOT meta rules, but the instruction page itself does not have any meta rules listed.

DROPPED Soul Gems Differ - Full and Empty (by Utopolyst)

Just a slight issue I am having. There is a note in the "Detailed instructions available" which states "For STEP users using Wrye Bash, download the " Soul Gems Differ All-In-One" main file and run using the WB wizard. This will allow you to install the STEP-recommended Configuration." Well.. I am not even sure what this is talking about, let alone how to do that. Perhaps some more clear instructions in how do to this are in order? -

Fyi, Better Beast Races in the STEP Guide appears to be hidden by the author, making it unable to be downloaded. Not sure why. Also, XCE-Dawnguard is no longer available as well. The reason given by the author is: Currently I am no longer involved in any modding activities. My mods have been a burden to me for many years. Please do not contact me about any of my mods. I am unable to answer any requests or questions that you may have.

It seems pretty consistent and I am trying to figure out what is causing it. Everything else seems to run fine. The CTD occurs when I get close to the river right outside the exit of Bleakfall Barrows, on my way back to Riverwood. Well, I should have followed the advice that was given at the start of the STEP Guide and moved Steam OUT of Program Files(x86). Moving the Steam folder into Games seems to have fixed up the whole SKSE.ini issue. I will play with the game a bit and see if I still get these issues. -

I think I may have found my issue. Even though I have skse.ini set to use: DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=1024ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 Memory blocks Log is reporting that Block A and B are allocating only 256MB... how is this fixed? -

I do not know how to create a drop down box, so I posted my mod order in the paste bin. https://pastebin.com/u2q4hj6G Right now I am encountering crashes while loading a saved game, and I am not sure why. The crashes are being pretty inconsistent, and it's really drawing away my want to play. -

Yep. I have reasoned that it is not the bashed patch or any of the other mods, but that all of my issues are sprouting off from DynDOLOD for some reason. When I disable it, everything works fine. If I enable it, everything goes to hell.
