STEP:1.0.0 - What is '"`UNIQ--pre-0000167A-QINU`"'?
Tykune replied to Tykune's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Unfortunately, clearing the cache does not seem to work for me. I am using Opera GX, and I have tried Google Chrome with the same results. -
bug Step: 1.0.0 - Butterflies Unchained incompatible with SE
Tykune replied to Tykune's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
And the likewise ESL-version of the CACO patch for Butterflies Unchained? -
The mod page for 'Butterflies Unchained.esp' and 'Butterflies Unchained - CACO Patch.esp' states that the mod is for Skyrim Legendary Edition. Installing the mod via Mod Organizer 2 gives off a 'Form 43' error signifying that it is not compatible with SE. Update: I just noticed that the entry got fixed and updated with the SE version of Butterflies Unchained, but the instructions state to download the main file, with two main files being available (Non-ESL and ESL version, though my history shows that I downloaded the ESL version when I worked with the former guide). Which one is to be downloaded with the current guide?

In both the installation directions for SKSE64 and SSE Engine Fixes, it states 'copy and paste the code in the box below' and 'Once installed open and ensure the following settings in EngineFixes.toml are configured:' followed by just "`UNIQ--pre-0000167A-QINU`"' and another similar message. At first, I figured it was something new with SKSE and went with it, but now I am starting to suspect that it is an error of some sort. Could there be some clarification as to what exactly this is?

There are two main files that 'Remove Small Rocks' offers, but the mod entry on the STEP guide offers no advice on which to pick. The first main file is the normal mod, while the one below that states to use it if you have DYNDOLOD installed.. would the second one be the one I should use?

Rallys Hanging Moss does not appear to be available anymore, or perhaps the link to the mod is incorrect?
-
That worked. Thanks!

I saw that the new guide was added for Skyrim SE, but visiting the page states that there is no text. Has it not been fully implemented yet?
-
This is more of a curious question that has bugged me for some time, but I never really bothered looking into until today.. but what was the reasoning as to why the STEP guide does not utilize the ENBseries?
-
Ahh, I see. I suppose this will be a new program for me to learn to use. Thank you very much.

That is basically the step I am on right now, and I do see the four images of LOD4, 8, 16, and 32.. but there is no recommendation of which one to use, nor implications of using one or the other. Unless I am completely misunderstanding the step and have to go through each dropdown of LOD4, 8, 16, and 32 to place all of those settings?

bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.3.0b - Official Bug Reports
Tykune replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Yep, that seems to be the case. I probably blasted through the mod installation assuming all of them would default onto none, but it seems the SOS was the only one that wasnt.. oddly. Not sure why, but that resolved my issue. Thanks -

XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended comes with a 'SOSRaceMenu.esp' that keeps throwing off a Form 43 plugin error in Mod Organizer. Is it safe to make that an optional ESP or should I ignore the error since SOS is not used? -
For Terrain LOD Generation, there are four options available for people to use. LOD4, LOD8, LOD16, and LOD32. What would be the recommended setting to use for generating the water and terrain?

Suggestion: Unlimited Bookshelves Patch Generator
Tykune replied to Tykune's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Was this a recent addition? With beta 2.0, book clipping and popping out of the bookcase still seemed to be an issue for me, which prompted me to look around for this. -
I found this mod/patch while looking into various patches and having tested it personally, I have found it to be pretty useful in making books on the bookshelf (with Unlimited Bookshelves) stop acting all wonky, and sit where they should be without clipping each other or getting shoved off to the side/top half-open. I tested the patch by loading my bookcases up with several books from journeying and the college of winterhold (including the mods on the STEP guide that add additional books as well), and left/entered my home many times to get the books to clip and mess up. So far, it works like a charm. I couldn't get the books to clip or pop out of the bookcase. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/19160

I am not sure what is causing this, though I have heard of this issue occuring with Ragdoll Paralysis Redux SE before it was updated 3 days ago, but when you become paralyzed and fall down in third person camera mode, apparently your camera gets stuck in third person with no way of going back into first person view. It also screws up your controls and makes the game unplayable. The best way to reproduce this is getting paralyzed, though I found that it was pretty consistent just by eating a Daedra Venin. -

It made sense to add a few merchants in the mix, and they will be open all hours of the day, you just have to find them on their Solitude-Winterhold trade route. The priests will heal your wounds if you are injured until you are at full health. Changelog: V1: -The initial release. Known Bugs: None at this time. Note: Voices will not sound Khajiit. This is due to a basic Bethesda limitation. Special thanks for taking the time to create a merged ESP, as some of you have asked me to do in the past. You can find it here, and instructions are present in the description of the mod page: Dominion's More Not-Nords All In One

bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.2.0b - Official Bug Reports
Tykune replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Is seems the patch for this is included in Kryptopyr's Patch Hub later on in the guide under the Patch section. A note should probably be added in the guide under 'The Choice Is Yours' that the patch download is unnecessary. There are also some other patches that should be noted as well. -
bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.2.0b - Official Bug Reports
Tykune replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
I have noticed this as well and came to comment on it here. Since there is nothing solid on it, I will attempt testing it myself to see if it is needed or if my game will throw a fit because of it. -
I tried adjusting the tree settings in the Visual tab, but it still seems to cause this LOD pop-in effect at the same distance. I think the only difference it made was that trees appear further off away in general, but I have a general theory for what I am seeing. I believe that it is me entering the cell which is then loading the actual tree, but what makes it noticable is that the LOD looks different from the actual tree. And then coupled with the sudden drop in FPS when the actual tree pops right in, is what makes it noticed. I wouldn't mind it too much if it weren't for the sudden FPS drops though, so if there was any way to mend that, it would be super.

Seems like I am still getting that texture pop-in between low detail and higher detail LODs for trees. Which option in BethINI controls that?
