  1. I am fine with moving it back into testing then; although, I have been running it without issue for several hours using new and pre-saved characters. it is really tough to pinpoint if this script actually causes new issues where none would otherwise exist ... ?
  2. this mod allows for dirty face and rough complection as well as variance in mass/muscle, so it is customizeable. The main point is that there are several fixes in this mod that incorporate other fixes to male mesh (read the details on the mod page and the revised mesh ... see mod description). I think it has Xenius stuff and better male feet already incorporated.

This is just a combined fix for the male meshes mostly, with some texture tweaks, etc. There are several options with the mod, but a muscular build was already included in vanilla, so that argument is moot: Vanilla Nord            Better Males Nord I personally like the more rugged vanilla face though in this case.

STEP needs a better female body that works without all of the need for specialized armor and clothing meshes to accommodate un-vanilla alterations of body meshes that exist in other female body mods (which is shy STEP never included any). This is a vanilla-compatible female mesh replacement with improvements and similar poly count meshes. Come sin both underwear and nude versions (STEP will recommend underwear version). WARNING: The Nexus page is NSFW, but in a relatively 'tame' way (i.e., not a bunch of semi-porn pics and videos) Grab the file directly from this SFW link to avoid needing to load up the NSFW page. MSxyz created clean skin textures that also works for the non-nude version of this mod. Let's determine if this is really better than vanilla.

  7. Does this mod implement all changes made by diverse priests as well, or is it just asset overwrite? If the latter, then we should be able to combine form of one and function of the other ... ?
  8. Thjis will be Core, but AOS should overwrite/override in all cases, including footsteps (which can be turned down in Settings). If we go mixing them, then some will be too loud or not loud enough.

  10. @EssArrBee Request: Could you update the ReadMe (and the mod-page notes) such that the plugins that you merged and recommend to remove from the load are named explicitly rather than generically? e.g., deactivate or uninstall plugin "abc.esp" It is not easy to determine exactly which plugins you are referring to. TIA
  11. The textures are good and vanilla friendly. Since they blend in well, there really is not reason to worry about % coverage ... this is only an improvement, IMO. Anyone agree/disagree?

  18. Updated OP with relevant compares. I still think that EDT Earth is the best option with HDET v8 a close second. EDT is just a bit more subtle, and will look better for those that cannot set fGrassStartFadeDistance = 25000.0000. These persons will see a band of ugly terrain without noise map or rendered grass/trees: fGrassStartFadeDistance = 7000.0000 EDT-Earth (current STEP)Â Â Â HDET Pro Blended HDET v8 also looks better this way, but the more course distance terrain does not work as well as EDT, so EDT is the best compromise for all, IMO.
  19. Good points. I'd have to look in my own dame (suring normal play) to determine how 'bad' the popping is, but popping will be a problem no matter what. The best fix IMO would be to improve the LOD terrain textures to better blend with the rendered terrain flora subject to fade. This in turn requires a system powerful enough to render all of the terrain vegetation such that there is no ugly band of terrain that has neither LOD or rendered terrain vegetation: 'Bad' (fGrassStartFadeDistance = 7000.0000) 'Better' (fGrassStartFadeDistance = 25000.0000) The alternative you propose is good for lower-end systems that should be ignoring distance altogether anyway.
  20. Many sound mods are either rendered obsolete by AOS, or they overlap partially. SoS Dungeons works well with AOS, since they don't overlap. STEP will recommend AOS be installed last and the plugin loaded last.
  21. I moved the posts referring to FPS, as I noticed that my original post on that topic should have been posted to the "Player Physics" thread, as that is the one Altimor recommended playing that mod at at least 60 FPS
