  1. I thought char height was determined by skeleton and not mesh ... ? Did you use same skeleton for all?
  2. @Tech What options did you use when installing UNPB? Could you define that and the options you did not use? there may be better options for UNPB for fitting with vanilla, but I can't recall now. ... also, max skeleton should be used in all compares (and I favor that for Core as well as FNIS)
  3. It is possible. I will add this, as I find that this is applicable (and helpful) much of the time ... single nested quote only. To recreate, simply press Multiquote or Quote buttons below this post and see the contents of the quick reply window below. Testing ....
  4. OK, I demonstrate my ignorance I guess :P Then I modify my above post to mean that any improved female body mesh should be compatible with vanilla clothing and armors (and hence all of the current STEP armor texture / mesh replacers).
  5. UNPB does not cause issues at all, so there is something wrong with the asset mapping probably. See Neo's install recommendations for that one. I use it in a couple of my MO profiles without issue. Need that one in the compares for sure. Don't vanilla male & female meshes share armor meshes? I would also rather use something that will work with vanilla-compatible armors (i.e., unisex armor). I don't think that female-shaped armor is at all realistic (wide hips, pinched waist, wide breastplate).
  6. OK, that makes sense to my literal sensibilities :P Is the prometheus body with Mature Skin feasible? Does that mesh fix the vanilla mesh or does it simply reduce the poly count?
  7. I don't understand this post ... doesn't look good ... ?
  8. The vanilla female body mesh needs fixing too though I think. Isn't there a resource available (fixed female body mesh)?
  9. We need a vanilla female body improvement. As I understand UNPB without all of the bigger boobs options allows vanilla armor meshes (unisex) ... we don't need female-specific armors unless hips and boobs are bigger than vanilla. If I am wrong, then we need to create a custom compilation and host ourselves (with permission where necessary). We definitely don't want all of the complications and forward incompat that an overly voluptuous female body replacer will bring. We just want an improved vanilla female body like better males. There must be some mix'n'match options that con be combined into a single mod and hosted on the STEP Nexus. This is typical for body replacers ... many variations and shared resources for custom compilation under a single mod.
  10. Actually, a lot of physicists are also psuedo-mathematicians Math is the 'universal language' of all science. ;) I abhor many of the tenets of the social sciences, but they often employ some of the most complex experimental designs and statistical methods (due to the spuriousness of the data) ... same goes for ecologists and study of any complex systems with thousands of variables.
  11. Exactly ... you would be surprised at how many survey methodologists do not acknowledge this :| Again, I think that members will likely hold mod/pack related polls (or other undesirables) in bad locations if we open it up. Good point. If we implement, we will need to establish appropriate constraints if possible. I don't want to simply turn the feature on without proper setup first (I also want to discuss with s4n ... he hates polls).
  12. Yes, I was thinking the same, but just have not gotten around to thinking much about implementation. I'll look into it at some point and announce if this becomes an option. One potential problem is that members could start making mod (or other) polls in forums they are allowed to post polls in, and that would be a real mess, because it would draw info that should exist in other locations. I guess I am against public-deployed polls in general, and we generally dislike even admin polls. That is why you don't really see too many. Polls can create unnecessary controversy, and there is an 'art' to conducting polls without bias. Poll creators tend to stack the deck to favor their own preference or polls that don't really get at a clear answer. (validity and reliability are the main issues). I write questionnaires and interpret responses for a living, so this is an area that I have lots of experience with.
  13. Made another change to the WYSIWYG editor input such that one needs to hit return 2x in order to get a blank line. This is standard for most applications. Both editor and post result will look the same (source and WYSIWYG). Previously, a blank line would appear prior to every return in both WYSIWYG editor (NOT source editor though). Originally, the WYSIWYG editor applied a blank line before each return, but the post result did not, so they were out of sync. Now source editor, WYSIWYG editor, and post result all behave in the same manner. Please clear your browser cache to see the editor changes
  14. Regular members cannot create polls. We use polls only for admin purposes, and only very rarrely if that.
  15. Moved to wiki area.
  16. [spoiler='whatever']some hidden text[/spoiler][spoiler=whatever]some hidden text [spoiler]some hidden text[/spoiler]
  17. I made some improvements to the CK Editor WYSIWYG: Paragraph separation now works correctly (no need to hit the return key twice to get proper par separation) - Hit return twice to get a blank line ... wht WYSIWYG editor and post result will behave the same way. Dimmed the text a bit from bright white to light gray Changed background color to better match the site color Switched the font to match the forum Brightened up the html link text Dimmed the source text input backgroundTo perceive the changes, members will need to clear their browser cache.
  18. Yep ... will need to do the same when you figure out the spoiler custom bb code I started (see your PMs). Anyway much needed and much welcome. When you are satisfied with it, we can remove the tag prefic on this thread and add the 'resolved' tag. ;)
  19. This is awesome and MUCH better, even if missing some convenience functionality. Genius
  20. OK, that is good to know. Obviously, this mod has a performance impact that increases quickly as the system decreases. Ideally, we would have someone test it on the current STEP min system to be sure. This mod does add a ton to the game though without need to use uGrids.
  21. Definitely improve on the vanilla style if you are so inclined ... that is a no-brainer for STEP ... then if you create something custom, we'll have a look
  22. Click the top bar of the forums ;)
  23. I am running a big Requiem build too (with nearly all of Hard Times and other arizok-compat mods) in addition to STEP and a few extras. I did not have any Papyrus-related issues, but I did get script overload with uGrids 9 and over (NPCs not reacting to PC behavior outdoors). Reducing to uGrids 7 resolves. Load order is also a significant management issue to resolve, and I have a long-staniding plugin order that seems to work well. Will post later if I remember.
  24. Sounds like a no-brainer ... any compat worries to tend to?
  25. Many thanks, sir! Latest STEP Patches updated on the Nexus. Cheers SRB!
