My 670 cards were EVGA and I liked them, however they don't seem as good this round. I know on launch they had a ton of coil whine problems. Thing that made me choose Gigabyte in the end was the custom pcb and windforce cooler. The evga SC acx2.0 is a reference pcb with custom cooler. I've seen people get some massive oc out of the giga.

Gigabyte is ordered, didn't ship yet today so I guess it'll be Tuesday before I'm up and running again. Sad too cause my wife got me a new toy.

Latest torches not compatible Ultra HD Fire. From my understanding real torches don't smoke either, but I do like the effect.

Went with the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980. It has a better pcb and build quality from everything I found and the guys at Overclock.net love it.

I had the Gigabyte 970s, actually. Just got my store credit making final decision now. Going single card for now. Either EVGA Superclocked ACX 2.0 or Gigabyte G1 980...

The quoted price is for the Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980 with the Windforce3 cooler. I would never buy reference... yikes. At this point deciding if one 980 is sufficient then SLI later or upgrade to latest single card again when the Ti comes.

Yeah, I kept them separate. Similarly with vivid clouds and fog. Main reason is they update more often than Vividian.

Well, cards are officially in the mail back to Newegg. Now the long wait to get my store credit.

Power, heat, noise, all of the above. Actually love these 970s minus the memory issues. Also Dx12 support.

I dont currently, but I'm planning to group all dynamic output files into an SRLE Profile mod as that's what I do personally.

Glad it's appreciated. Now I just need to come up with the money to upgrade to two 980s or go with single 980 and just have store credit sitting around until next purchase. Well, despite my attempts can't get Newegg to give me a strait refund so I can buy a new card before shipping these back so apparently will be disappearing for a bit shortly. Well, still have my phone for forum access but won't be able to test or check anything for Skyrim.

Gigabyte made an offer then went silent mode. So basically I'm getting my money back and will need to pay full price for whatever I go to. I know the 300 series is coming out by end of Q2 2015 but that is the April-June timeframe. Can't be without my PC that long. That said I really like the green teams proprietary tools like ShadowPlay, etc. Better than AMD.

Alright, so after receiving a form letter stating the Nvidia propaganda line about how its only 3% less FPS, etc than a 980 i called Newegg back and got told to wait another few days. I sent to Reseller Ratings and wrote a scathing review how Newegg was not helping their customers with the GTX 970 issue when Amazon, Overlockers, and other retailers were accepting the returns. Literally 45 minutes later, I received a phone call about my review and was given a full refund with return shipping label. Amazing what a bad review can get you these days... in any case, need to decide what to do now. Once I send the cards my PC is out of commission until I buy new one(s). Last minute suggestions?

Sometimes its hard to know how far to drill down for new people, now that you know it will become second nature for the future.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, in each compare I preferred the new version over the old. More contrast in colors, not nearly as bland as the vanilla design. They are subtle changes but in my opinion they add up.

I will check this out in more detail when I get time. Not sure when, I just got my RMA# from Newegg so will need to send my video cards back for my refund/store credit. Luckily Newegg is only a few towns over from where I live so should take less than a day to ship, then they take 2-5 days to process the return. Then I have to buy new cards and wait for them to arrive so... may be out about a week and a half or so once I send those in. Mean time, its minor and honestly haven't noticed anything "not moving" or out of the ordinary without it. Personally I've never used the wait function, always used the relax function which is probably why I never saw this issue. As far as compatibility is concerned there are patches available for three of those listed. No big deal there. Custom follower mods shouldn't have a problem if they use their own system, just simply don't force recruit them into EFF. The iNeed and Loot and Degredation issue should be resolved once Expired gets back to releasing an update to make the inventory management optional, at one point he said he was going to make it so. As far as the naked on dismissal I dont have that issue, from what I tell it was mostly caused by Wet and Cold distribution of cloaks/hoods (as noted on the compatibilty patch page). The only time I've had a character get naked is when they betrayed me for breaking the law and that is a known issue.

Do two installs: First install go to Males/Better Males Body folder, right click and select "Set Data Folder". Second install go to Females/UNP/MAIN folder, right click and select "Set Data Folder", when it asks - Merge.

The .basket once loaded prevents you from picking up the items contained within even when its not stealing. That is its only function. After loading you can select "Open Basket" to see the contents and add more if desired. As it says on the page During installation... Right click and select Create Directory and name it SKSE. Right click that new folder named SKSE and select Create Directory and name it Plugins. Drag the .basket file into the new plugins folder then click install.
