Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Will keep an eye on it, however, for now the current version are still available. -
Yep. Looks like the steam paid versions are updated version of Nexus. Wonder if he will update Nexus eventually after a period of exclusivity or if he's done with giving out updated free versions. He personally has not said either way, so giving benefit of the doubt. Depending on how this goes over time, Witcher 3 and it's mods may be my next permanent home.

I just finished watching Gophers video on this. I will be surprised if people pay for most mods, especially if they were free before this transition or continue to be free on the nexus sites. Not that I would mind more clicks on the donate button every now and again but I've never once thought about requiring payment despite the hours that go into it. Just to put it in perspective, I've never once got a donation for DSR or SCRR. I've gotten 3 for SRLE in the years I've been maintaining it.

Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Neovalen replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
I set max particles to 2000 and it had zero effect. This particular type of campfire was the only one affected. Giant campfires, the fires in inns, etc did not have issues. I don't believe particle count is to blame... -
Two strange problems SRLE
Neovalen replied to Yippee38's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
The flare is the combination of BFT or CCO with Vividian. BFT / CCO spawn items overtop of other items and this causes a flare in the bloom code for the current Vividian version on the nexus. I haven't seen it yet with Vividian 7 Alpha. As for bodies disappearing or the wearable lanterns thing.. thats odd. I've never had bodies go missing unless they went into a wall or something like that. Wearable lanterns will activate whenever you first equip a lantern regardless of mode... but once its initialized it should toggle fine. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Neovalen replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Alright Sheson, I've got a doozy for you to figure out. So, I have no DynDOLOD installed in my load order on a clean save. I get the following (fire is lit, no issues): I then install DynDOLOD completely (run TES5Edit scripts, etc) everything looks great, etc. EXCEPT my campfire fire particles go missing on Campfire01Burning.nif both inside cells and outside in the world. Note: If I load DynDOLOD for the first time in this cell it looks fine until I initialize the scripts by walking outside then back in then I get this (no fire): Until, I literally walk on top of the campfire but even then walking away even 2 steps causes the flames to die again: So why is DynDOLOD scripts affecting an INTERIOR cell... same happens with this campfire outside as well as an fyi. Here is a link to my mini-bug log on another thread. I literally turned on and off all my lighting mods, swapped this campfire mesh between SMIM, vanilla, etc with no affect. Only thing that fixes it is removing DynDOLOD. -

Silent Moons Camp FormID: 00015211 I clicked the fire logs and got: FormID: 000543AB Mesh provided by: SMIM... however hiding that mesh and exposing the vividian mesh didn't change anything. I am at a loss. Edit: Still havent found a cause, but did note that its all instances of this specific camp fire. Even the outdoor ones. Edit2: I've been running around Skyrim and it appears to be only Campire01Burning.nif objects that are affected but swapping the mesh fixed nothing. Edit3: I've tracked it to DynDOLOD... disabling it and the fires started working again. Need to write up a bug report to Sheson. -

I got mine once he packed it into an archive. On another note: I am having one small issue in one particular location I cant figure out just yet... In Silent Moons Camp, once I open the door to the interior the fire appears to give off light but I have no fire particles until I literally walk on top of it just about... -

Rugnarok added. :) Also, if you haven't already I highly suggest checking out the Vividian 7 Alpha on the Vividian thread here on STEP. -
Personally, i prefer RUGNAROK over Detailed Rugs by far. It is a style change, yes, but the new designs are tasteful and fit in their respective settings which is nice. I especially like the changes in the companions hall and Windhelm. As for STEP, well, it has a mandate for vanilla so it may not work for it. Would likely need to evaluate one by one.

Very nice. Yeah people have seen in game demos but can't show footage to the public and said the graphics really are representative from the trailer.

Almost finished with chapter 2 now. FCR makes the game actually challenging imo. I can't just blindly go into battle without being fully stocked... if I do its suicide. Example: I can't hit ghosts unless I have spectre oil, can't hit gravier without necrophage oil, etc. It gets frustrating as hell sometimes but it makes you think like a real witcher would have to. Watching a few let's play of people not using fcr and they just run over the enemy... I have to slowly work my way through dungeons.

The json files are generated in the output folder. The output folder needs to be made into an mo mod and activated... -

DynamicLOD version change
Neovalen replied to Yippee38's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
If your using a base SR:LE install the bottom of the load order should look like this after BOSS sorts them: ... SR Conflict Resolution.esp Bashed Patch, 0.esp RSPatch.esp DynDOLOD.esp ASIS-Dependency.esp ASIS.esp Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp The bottom of your load order looks very unsorted. In any case, the instruction is to uncheck anything below DynDOLOD.esp which, in this case, is ASIS-Dependency.esp, ASIS.esp, and Dual Sheath Redux Patch.esp. -

My understanding was that Skyfalls / Skymills was no longer required when using DynDOLOD... what is the benefit of using them together? -

Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Likely... Basically have to create a new esp that makes an MCM script with access to the internal variables of all supported mods. Then read a file using fiss to set those globals. Would be useful but time consuming to make... would also require knowledge of how said mod works or a lot of trial and error. -
Suggestion for SRLE perfection
Neovalen replied to Drakoktonos's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
The "blotchy" as I've found out was a mix of a certain version of mature skin + subsurface of Vividian. A while ago I changed the guide to the "Young" install option in mature skin to combat this and there are no issues now. However, Vividian 7 remedies this issue in entirety anyway as characters look much much better regardless of install option. -
