Question about the Optimized Textures

If they show redundant just get rid of em. :) -
A "few days" is not enough time to judge an OS of any type, imo. That and older people tend to not like change or give things a chance. Myself, I used 7, 8, 8.1, and now 10 and I have been just fine with all the changes but I'm still young. :) I rather like Windows 10, but you do have to be mindful of your personal security. :)

We are Microsoft. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.

Honey, why is this message on the screen that says "All your filez are belong to us. -Microsoft"?

The way I do it is clean install. 1. Delete existing install. 2. Copy in new TES5EDIT version. 3. Copy in latest version merge script (including mteFunctions). 4. Copy in Real Skyrim Snowflakes script. 5. Copy in DynDOLOD scripts. 6. Done That way no leftover junk is still in the folders.

Star Citizen in a must watch 13 minute nutshell
Neovalen replied to redirishlord's topic in General Game Discussion
After playing for a few hours this evening, it looks and feels like a glorified tech demo at this point. I was able to do the following: A) Walk through a hanger with about 7 ships. I was able to get into the cockpit / cargo bay of each ship save one (seemed non interactible - was the one from the multi-crew demo). B) Arena Commander - Free Fly (Basically fly around with nothing to interact with but landing pads). Choice of 5 ships: Aegis Dynamics Avenger, Aegis Dynamics Gladius, Anvil Gladiator, Anvil Hornet F7C, and Anvil Hornet F7CM. C) Arena Commander - Vandaal Swarm (Basically waves of enemy fighters with occaisional "elite" units to fight). Same 5 ships. D) Arena Commander - Racing (Basically in-atmosphere racing - However it had the same flight mechanics as space which is odd). Same 5 ships. E) Multiplayer versions of C and D (did not attempt cause I need to learn controls and flying better). Animations on foot feel clunky and un-natural, it could just be the head bob effect. It felt like "stuttering" but my FPS was good. Boarding ships was cool, but I saw a lot of clipping and some of the ships bugged out a bit. Free flying was fairly good, but I managed to bug out the landing on a few ships so they were not recoverable (i.e. could not reboard). On the other hand, transitioning from flight to foot was pretty neat. Landing pads had magnets for your boots but you could walk off the pad and do spacewalk with thrusters that worked well. As a general thing, video options are minimal for any type of tweaking and there is definitely some framerate / aliasing issues that need addressed. I like the art style and concepts but considering its two years into development I feel like they are behind the curve a little. The controls are decent but feel very "loose" (I was using kb+m)... even after I got used to them I seemed to be blacking out / redding out a little too much when I don't believe I should have. Additionally, I would be hard pressed to do precision manuvers but then I'm a novice atm. Perhaps there is something I missed due to lack of a proper tutorial for us trial users. Combat was pretty fun, I managed to down 5 waves before running out of lives multiple times. My worst problem was hitting asteroids when dogfighting and hitting the edge of the simulation... lol they aren't always easy to see in general and the collision warning might need the range extended. All in all, it needs a lot of work but I can see a bright future if they grab hold of it and I hope they do. Looking forward to one day trying it again. My best score with few hours practive was wave 9 and 44k score. Edit: Lastly, I noted my FPS was stuck at 30... is that normal? -

Looks like he changed the names on us. You should use "DLC Aggressive IP 2.0.3". -

Star Citizen in a must watch 13 minute nutshell
Neovalen replied to redirishlord's topic in General Game Discussion
The problem with multi-person and capital ships is getting the real life crew online at the same time to actually use them. For example, in my group of real life friends I'm the only gamer. Therefore, I could not ever do a 3 or 4 man ship unless I joined a guild/corp/merc unit or what not and even then schedule would be limiting. That is really my only big hesitation in a game like this, being solo is going to limit the fun and what I can earn/do. On the other hand, if I was an early teen or retiree I could see having a ton of fun with an almost VR like experience. Nightly playing for 2-4 hours is all I can muster these days. Is being a "nobody" going to be fun? That is the real question. Yes, I've read about NPCs for mutli-crew ships but you know they won't be able to compete with players. -

Man, trying to read/sort through the rsi web page is crazy as a newcomer. There is just so many ships, etc to try and sort through. -
No lockpicks anywhere
Neovalen replied to blackadder's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
I've never had this issue, lock picks are everywhere. Honestly I would check your leveled lists and make sure your bash patch is updated. -
Just use the latest version.

I found this one amusing, it covers both Witcher 3 and Skyrim in one video.

Star Citizen in a must watch 13 minute nutshell
Neovalen replied to redirishlord's topic in General Game Discussion
The flight model in Star Citizen is Newtonian Physics (i.e. how a ship really would be flying in space) similar to the way ships in Babylon 5 were portrayed (you can pivot and rotate without changing movement direction). Therefore counter thrust is required to stop after you get moving, etc. More on this: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/engineering/13951-Flight-Model-And-Input-Controls -

I spent 20 minutes and watched the "Live" version. Amazing, this is one game that keeps slipping below my radar... not sure why cause it's awesome. Just wish buying in early was cheaper, seems like getting any of the cool stuff costs a lot of $. Hopefully not so expensive post launch. This game is a perfect VR candidate. -

I had no errors running the version that was on Mator's Github (which should technically be the latest)... unless Mator has not been updating his repository. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
Neovalen replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
No its not, however it makes life a whole lot easier dealing with any future issues you might encounter (i.e. hiding files at will, optimization, merging scripts, etc.) so I always recommend it. -
For me, FO4 will likely be a bargain bin purchase so I don't have that burden :). I'm much more interested in this and XCOM 2 this year. BF4 and Witcher 3 still take most of my game time, Skyrim I almost never actually play anymore other than to check out mods.

Realistic Water Two - stream Fix [nanoman2000]

Personally, I went with the non-bubbles version. I prefer the streams with a bit more splashes like RWT tried to do. -
Dynamic Distant Objects LOD - pre 2.xx
Neovalen replied to sheson's question in DynDOLOD & xLODGen Support
Sheson, Is there any way for you to launch LODGen without it taking context from whatever window I am currently using (i.e start it minimized or something)? When I'm running DynDOLOD worlds I'm ussually reading or in a game or something and it keeps pulling me out every time it launches LODGen.
