SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
berndaroy replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
AstyanGaming hi! Have you tried the flat roads version as on the guide(there may be a problem with paper map) and ENSURED THAT: Loot Metadata Update Required:IcePenguinWorldMap.esp - Load After Vivid Weathers - Merged.esp.Also make sure IcePenguinWorldMap.esp is loaded as shown in the Modwatch link at the top of the guide page: EDIT: from the mod aurthors page..For the first time, a flat, high quality paper map is available from the world map for Skyrim. Rather than being a simple copy of the existing paper map texture, it was painstakingly recreated using worldspace reference screenshots, the map texture, and custom art assets. The result is something any adventurer would be proud to have tucked away in their pack. A paper map for Solstheim is not included. It will appear similarly to the way it does in the Vivid style in 3D. The Paper 9.0 includes an ESP file. IcePenguin added this in order to tweak the appearance of the weather in the world map in order to improve overall appearance. It also includes necessary changes in order to enforce certain camera restrictions in order for the mod to appear correctly. Due to a chance that another mod can overwrite this mod's necessary edits to the Tamriel worldspace, it is highly recommended to load this near the end of your plugin load order. Tilt/zoom controls are disabled when viewing the paper map. You can still pan the camera. So again ensure the .esp loads at the end of your load order after weather .esp....Hope this helps -
PSK hi! Thank you for the advise, but have pretty much done that as per the video installation instructions from dirty weasel, installed as admin, disabled steamoverlay on the game etc. I suspect that there may have been a issue when installed for testing prior to Lexy releasing this guide, as there were slightly different instructions that may have affected my SSE folder....i say that, due to the fact, AT PRESENT, it seems to be working on a new clean fresh install of everything, from steam etc.......but i haven't left it for a couple of days yet! Tzefira thank you for the links...will look at it when i get to beards, brows section etc....Plowing through to tree section whilst things behave...SOME SERIOUS CATCHING UP TO DO....who knows i might beat Nozzer at it, seems the "AUSSIES" have the upper hand at the moment against my team...hope your knee heals well Nozzer mate!

Baronaatista hi! No installed E:/skyrim/steamapps/common/Mod Organizer2 as instructed....Create a new folder called Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE (or something you would Recognize easily) in the Steams Common Directory (so you have some like Steam\steamapps\common\Mod Organizer 2 - Lexys LOTD SE). In other words it is NOT IN Skyrim Special Editions folder. I have the tools /utilities in common folder as well I will be shortly starting it up and see if its playing nicely on a complete fresh install of SSE etc

Sm0kem.....red bull and coffee can only take you sooooo far...perhaps skooma and red bull might help, as i suspect it did with our glorious leader on completing this guide in record time!!!(only teasing) Tzefira..if it was only LOOT as was on previous installs, yes i will give this method a go, why xedit decided to act up too...any way back up to weather section and here's hoping with every thing crossed

Baronaatista hi! My MO2 is installed on my game drive: E: skyrim, steamapps, common as per instructions and tools in common as per dirty weassel's video...So far all is working again on a new clean, fresh install of everything: SSEEdit working, Loot showing cleaned esm's in LOTD profile, and in vanilla profile as unclean etc. The proof will be in a few days when next i have a chance to play/mod, this in between break for some reason causes issues i cannot seem to narrow down
-
No created exception in anti-virus and my wording is wrong. The MO2 profile/s are there, with previous installed mods that Loot, xedit etc recognized and cleaned etc. But if i don't mod for a day or two/week(as i get time), opening MO2 on my modding profile shows all mods, but if i run Loot or in this case xedit, it only sees the Vanilla game esm's( and as dirty with loot), even though my last modding session, the tools saw all the mods, cleaned esm etc....thus to me it is though the tools revert to only seeing whats in the Skyrim SE folder i.e unmodified esm's....any way back to fresh install already.
-
sm0kem thank you for the reply, have tried that but won't respond....so i have gone back to a complete reinstall of SSE skyrim etc...if this doesn't work then i don't know. Might try doing the opposite to dirty weasels instruction, of putting it in common folder of steam, as this is not working at present for me, and try in SSE folder

Right I'm on the verge of putting my fist through the computer screen. This is now the fifth time this has happened: Unless i install everything in one go, any length of time i.e a day or two where i haven't been on the computer, when i open up MO2 all looks normal from when i last left off. Today started installing weather mods come to clean Obsidian Fog with xedit.....None of my installed mods recognized by any of the tools that previously had no problem with. It as though the tools ONLY SEE'S the Skyrim SE folder contents only, and the MO2 profile doesn't exist. How can NOT OPENING your computer for a day or two have such an effect. NEVER EVER had this problem with classic Skyrim. I have ensured that every thing is setup as instructed....obviously something is not right..any ideas people

Bigundies Hi! If you have all the tools in place as per the prerequisite page, then the mod that needs bsa extracted, do as....either open mod in explorer or as normal(under filetree)..open bae tool, then drag the bsa into bae tool page, browse and select the mod file to extract too. bsa can be deleted after...OR follow the video under: just been ninja'ed by darabp A Note On Extracting BSA's

Pelleas Hi! This is on the SSE Guide: When installing mods it recommended to do the following: Main Files + Updates + Hotfixes Install as one mod. (e.g Merge together in Mod Organizer)Optional Files - Install as separate mod in MO.Miscellaneous files - Install as separate mod in MO.Patches - Install as separate mod in MO......So yes to your question -

Pelleas hi! 1. I normally install all the mods first up to merge section of the guide, but do not activate the mods in left pane. Once installed, i then active a couple of sections .esp(Other fixes etc) with a loot run to verify things are working....the guide does mention this to be done on each section, so any problems are picked up early. It can be tedious, but the trade off is any faults/problems are found early. 2. Here it can be an individual choice, but the general consensus is to create a new profile for each merge. The benefit is that this way you ONLY have to active the mods required for the merge and once done can remain as is on that merge profile( yes the merge will be activated on MAIN GAME profile when done). If later you need to rebuild your merge due to update, its already setup and you don't have to mess around with your MAIN GAME profile(deactivating/reactivating)...and yes why the merge section is at the end of the guide due to dependencies. 3. You can use the 1k alternatives for better performance....LOTD bsa is 1k textures if unaware and bear in mind if performance is an issue when you run DynDOLOD if medium setting is an issue drop it down from medium. Hope i have explained point 2. clearly....happy modding -
The fun and joy of modding......got to the end of weapons section, started MO2 and anti-virsus SUDDENLY decided this is ransom ware and auto quarantined the whole folder....so change rule, STARTED AGAIN, then MO2 wouldn't play nice, a little digging and found i missed a little section that's so obvious, STARTED AGAIN...point being, it happens to all of us and that's the joy or frustration, spitting blood, cursing the computer or taking a hammer to it as Lexy is prone to do( ) BLESS her and her cotton socks. After all, what would we do without this modding lark?...calm peaceful quiet time, more family time, other hobbies, having a life, go to bed on time, more money in pocket to spend on other things like a book...Oh whom am i trying to kid, you wouldn't want it any other way, and to that end "night, night everyone, time for bed". Happy modding

Instantkor hi! Generally speaking it isn't recommended to change mods during a play through due to the information "Baked" into your save the minute you press new game. The engine will always be looking for that information and changing, removing etc will cause it to evently ctd, because it cannot find information that been removed, changed etc. Having said that, i guess we all do tinker with updates. Mods like LOTD have VERY CLEAR INSTRUCTIONS on how to clean your save and technically force the engine to look for the new script etc. Mod authors should have clear instructions on updating their mod to avoid problems...Classical Lichdom for example, if you started with v6 upwards doesn't require a new start and generally deals with minor fixes and not major overhauls....where as LOTD on v19 required a new start due to major overhaul and why it cannot be updated from an earlier versions..as Iceman has stressed many time on his mod page(as you would be aware of as a follower). Texture mod would not be an issue and can be pulled, changed without issue. Lastly any updates done would require a rerun of bash, dyndolod, FNIS, Skyproc patches dependent on what type of mod/s being updated or combination of...on the guide there is clear instructions under big push about this. This is my understanding and others may be able to correct or add to this.....IF UNSURE always have a backup before updating or STICK WITH WHAT YOU HAVE until ready to start again. Happy modding -
Lexy hi! AH...would that be the restless, sleepless, disheveled bed head look, you be talking about there lass? Would you be requiring a healing potion to slowly ween yourself off the skooma and red bull, now, perhaps, and enjoy a little gaming time. A serious congratulations and well done, on getting to the final stages of this guide, and in just over a month and a half . Make sure a certain Argonian feller gives you a pat on the back, some flowers, chocolates, dinner, run the bath, kiss your feet.....yeah ok going overboard now
-
Lexy hi! Have you or any body else had this issue. Opened MO2 to start building the profile and computer started going wonky and my malwarebytes instantly quarantined the the whole folder(MO2) as ransomware. Prior to this, MO2 ran, and i had a look at loot on previous "Cleaned Vanilla ESM" and it shows it as dirty again. Yes i know i have to set the folder as ignore in Malwarebytes, but cannot understand why Loot on each open session registers Cleaned esm as dirty. So for now back to CLEAN Install again!!!!!!!

Cptmcsplody hi! Good point! query Lexy about it..if there is already a merged patch provided in the fomod, we may not need to create our own...there may be a reason she chose not to use that. In my previous post regarding enhanced blood, i was referring to the old guides version. At this point i'm starting fresh on this guide so no where near completion, so i haven't looked at the new version for sse. I only mentioned it as to why the new brawl fix was added to the bottom of the old guide..at any rate Lexy clearly clarified the reason its used on this guide
-
For my two bits worth, as already mentioned, i too like to explore, smell the roses/flowers and not to worried about combat...my character (she) pacts enough grant to deal with most adversaries, and if help required, a couple of summoned deadra lords, allows for a breather. Cptmcsplody hi! I may be wrong here as i haven't got to enhanced blood section yet, and unless changed, on Oldrim/classic skyrim guide, that version(enhanced blood) had an outdated version of brawl fix and hence why the newer version on the old guide was placed towards the end to override it. Again as said it may have changed with sse Lexy yes (Artifacts of Boethiah) good choice its a good little mod
-
godescalcus hi! Tried that on Oldrim/classic skyrim. As i use more of supported mods then what is in guide, i have to build my own merge. Loaded it in ck after esm-ifying etc and deleting navmesh from merge. All looked good, until i went into library and found the cabinet for skyrim amulet missing and other things. In the end, though i know we should fix the navmesh, read as many guides/tutorials etc still can't get it right, so i leave the merge as is...so far i haven't encountered any issues with it, despite the pesky complaint from merge tool. That said, i may find out later in game or have been very lucky so far. Oh and getting LOTD to load in ck is challenging despite all the required masters as well.....Good to see and hear your participation on the guide Sirjesto
