I'm following the STEP:2.2.9.2 guide and I hit a wall at the part where you run Dual Sheath Redux Patch through MO and you have to click the [Patch] in the upper right corner and around 10% or so it pops out a message stating: "skyproc.exceptions.MissingMaster: Unofficial High resolution patch has some missing masters: -HighResTexturePack01.esp -HighResTexturePack02.esp -HighResTexturePack03.esp Please activate and try again." I'm pretty much stuck at this point and have no idea what to do next since. I'm pretty sure i followed the guide 1/1 till now and i am not sure where i might have made a mistake or if it isn't cause by something i did or didn't do. P.S. While i was doing the previous step "Bashed Patch" in wyrebash i had some pop up messages that weren't described to appear in the instruction about some missing masters (regarding HighResTexturePack's) and some mods being unmergable and so but there was an option to just proceed so i don't know if that has anything to do with anything.

Should i stop modding now?
HypestHypeBoo replied to HypestHypeBoo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I can live without any texture and graphic improving mods tbh. I was thinking of picking a bunch of mods from the sections like fixes and gameplay also some interface mods like skyUI and then some other mods outside of the step project i would like to have. Since cant have the step core i might as well combine and put to use some of my knowledge i got here. Im honestly sad that i need a better graph for this awesome mod guide but at least i have a profile in MO halfway through the step core so when i get a better rig i can pick off where i stopped :) Thanks for the help to you all on this topic, cheers guys! -
Should i stop modding now?
HypestHypeBoo replied to HypestHypeBoo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I only followed the step:core v2.2.9.2 and i always chose the LQ versions of mods and options to get it as much as performance friendly as i can. If my Vram is really too low to continue modding following the core then i was thinking of just getting an handful of mods that i want like PerMa, some immersive mods and avoiding any textural mods since it seems i dont have the graph card for those. -
I've posted this question in a topic already but it was marked "Answered" so i thought i wouldn't be getting any answers to my question there so i decided to open a new topic. I hope no one will mind. Anyhow i will just copy paste the issue: I have recently started modding skyrim and i reached step 2.H. Characters & Creatures in the step:core guide and i decided to give skyrim a start up and a test and see how its holding. Now i do know that in the guide itself it claims that the minimum recommendation are 2GB Vram but i've read that it can be pulled of with 1GB Vram nonetheless. However after reaching not even half of the step guide it seems i'm hitting the cap on my Vram and i wonder is there any point for me to continue the modding? Will all the mods that come after just overflood it and make my game crash so i better just wait with modding till i get a better rig with a stronger graph card or just install a handful of mods like the fixes and a dozen or so other mods i want most in my game? Here is the screenshot to the test skyrim performance tester gave me playing for some 20 mins in Helgen: https://postimg.org/image/qxvdt0un1/

How to interpret Skyrim Performance Monitor results

Immersive hold borders by thematthan https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/62735/? This mod seems awesome to have around and, as a newb modder, i would like to hear out how much possible it is to implement in the step:core and other patches/packages out there. Also come to thinking about "immersive" i've seen many awesome immersive mods like immersive armor, creatures, this one and others that and i wonder if there will be a package for them? Thanks in advance for you opinions!

SKYRIMLE Hold Border Banners by Thicketford
HypestHypeBoo replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Where does this mod sit in the load order? Right after LoS and Point The Way? And does it conflict anything regarding the step:core and other packages? -
I've only just started the conflicting graphics section and i just ran the game and it works fine. I will from now on do this test after every section and i also use LOOT after completing every section. I made some notes like what mods i didnt use (the ones withouth the green bar to the left) and some other reminders like to run FNIS which was written in some previous instruction and so on. Thanks for the tips and help mr. Greg! Cheers!

Hey guys, im installing skyfalls and skymills and im at the window choosing installed dlc's and i wonder if i should tick faalskar and wyrmstooth now or do it later (if its possible) since i want those 2 mods afterwards. Also i found, what seems to be outdated, data about those 2 mods working with step core and step extended as well as people having bugs even though following step core to the letter so im wondering what can one do after each step to prevent such bugs from happening and is there a solved way for faalskar and wyrmstooth to work with step core and can i afterwards tick the options in skyfalls and skymills and other mods for faalskar and wyrmstooth? Much thanks in advance!

HypestHypeBoo replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Im doing the step:core guide and am wondering shouldve i ran enb.exe when i extracted it and the other 2 files to the skyrim folder or that comes later? Im confused on that part as i though enb is a mod and not something you just extract to the skyrim folder and it does magic :D- 182 replies

STEP:Core - Hit a wall-
HypestHypeBoo replied to HypestHypeBoo's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Thank you but I ended up redoing the whole process to that step and now i got no errors and i installed skse following some other highly recommended tutorial and now i see its not much different as i have skse installed and running from MO. Also i noticed this weird occurrence, the second time i went through the step tutorial and when i got to the part of cleaning the update.esm it didn't appear in the data folder while the first time i did it it was there so i had to go through the overwritting part ( which explains and solves the overwritten alert but still how come the alert was there when the first time the cleaned update.esm was automatically in the data folder?). I assure you my copy of Skyrim is legitimate and legal. Piracy is illegal and i do not support it. -
Hi guys, i started following the step:core and have arrived to step 2.C. Extenders and have downloaded SKSE. I did the first step of extracting the 3 files to the skyrim folder but its the step where i have to install skse via MO that gives me problems. When i choose the archived downloaded skse thingie the red text "No game data on top level" doesn't change EVEN when i do as the step says to do, right click on "data" and click "set data directory". It just stays the same red text instead of turning to the green all is alright text. I've seen people have this problem with other problem but haven't found someone having it while installing SKSE so what do i do and what could've i done wrong (since i followed the step:core fully from step 1 to here)? Thanks in advance for the answers and i am eager for help so i can continue with the guide! P.S. I also noticed, while in MO, that i get these 2 errors reported that maybe explain the issue? : 1.) There was an error reported recently with the log (might be when i used tes5edit? : INFO (16:46:52.0271): deleting D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\data\Update.esm -> D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\data\Update.esm DEBUG (16:46:52.0284): add mod file C:\Program Files (x86)\Mod Organizer\overwrite\TES5Edit Backups\Update.esm.backup.2016_01_28_16_46_52 (TES5Edit Backups\Update.esm.backup.2016_01_28_16_46_52) DEBUG (16:46:52.0284): using path from previous deletion: D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\data\Update.esm DEBUG (16:46:52.0286): remove mod file D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\Data\Update.esm.save.2016_01_28_16_46_51 ERROR (16:46:52.0286): not a mod directory: D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\data\Update.esm DEBUG (16:46:52.0316): move (ex) D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\Data\Update.esm.save.2016_01_28_16_46_51 to D:\Program Files (x86)\Skyrim - Legendary Edition\Data\Update.esm - 1 (203) DEBUG (16:46:52.0359): hooks removed ----------- LOG END ---------- 2.)There are files in your overwrite mod : Files in the Overwrite mod are are usually files created by an external tool (i.e. Wrye Bash, Automatic Variants, ...). It is advisable you empty the Overwrite directory by moving those files to an existing mod. You can do this by double-clicking the Overwrite mod and use drag&drop to move the files to a mod. Alternatively, right-click on Overwrite and create a new regular mod from the files there. Why is this necessary? Generated files may depend on the other mods active in a profile and may thus be incompatible with a different profile (i.e. bashed patches from Wrye Bash). On the other hand the file may be necessary in all profiles (i.e. dlc esms after cleaning with TESVEdit) This can NOT be automated you HAVE to read up on the tools you use and make an educated decision.

True about the reading part, sadly figured that common sense thing out to late. After reading phazers (Thanks btw) post i re installed the game last night and have it all prepared, with the tools, for the guide and initial modding so when i finish with my exams and have enough time to dedicate to a big cake like this i will take 2 days to get this right. I now understand as a newbie i have to first do a guide like this and play a playthrough with it just to feel it and slowly expand modding knowledge. "DUDE someone took the time to make a complete guide for people like you so you do not have to go through **** and you don't use it, want this and that, STFU AND LEARN?!" is what my common sense is telling me now :D So these packs i should look into and install what i like after i decide for one of the 2 step guides i mentioned? And when talking about the guides, after a quick "fly by" over them i think the revisited one will serve my needs best, only when i saw the guide authors set up he has a monster PC while i have a somewhat, above mediocre one (it satisfies the recommended config for step 2.2.9 but i have only 1gb vram). But i guess not everything has to be installed there. Any way i will read both guides and after that i will pick one that suites my situation most. I have no idea what you just said there :D But i believe i will find a guide and that will be explained so i will learn that. I still need to learn what and where are leveled lists, what are bash patches etc. I sure do hope SkyRe is comp. with STEP because after reading what it does and after 2 and an half playthroughs on vanilla i really really really want it and need it :D Thanks for the help guys, still got 9 days till my exam so in the meantime i will try to learn as much as i can and will probably get more info.

Ok, so i use both guides but first start off with the STEP: 2.2.9 guide and then when i finish with that one i go to the second link you posted or i have to pick from one of the guides? Also in case i do not want one of the mods that have the green bar will the step core patch work or the mods with the green bar are imperative to be installed? Also i want to install SkyRe and Complete character overhaul. By what i have read about STEP and SkyRe and CCO i believe it should work together so should i install them, and other mods out of the guide, after i finish the step project? Sorry for having so much questions, i just want to get this right. Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the help! ^^

I played the legendary edition a bit and i decided it was a shame to play such a game when so much amazing mods are available! So at first i took modding for granted and just used NMM and i installed them without giving a care, always overwriting everything when prompt, not caring about load order (just used loot tool and didn't take a second to look at the load order) etc. And on top of that i had nearly 200 mods installed and amazingly the game was running till one point it started getting amazingly buggy and crashy... When i tried to find fixes for the bugs and crashes i ran into a lot of information pointing out to me "Wow you stupid fool how on earth you thought that would work!?". So i deleted the whole game, re installed it and started modding again. I watched gophers beginners modding guide on youtube and everything it covered i got installed and it all worked nicely but.... But I am a greedy dude and i want WANT WANT a lot of mods out there. I did continue modding further on doing my best to always take care of the load order and cleaning with TES5Edit. Unfortunately i have failed yet again when i hit nearly 200 mods and yet again i wanted a fresh start and found this forum. I re installed the game yet again and for now i have only installed the unofficial patches and the High Q 3D map. I got all the tools needed (Wyre bash, TES5Edit, BOSS, LOOT, Skyrim Performance monitor, MO) and i got SKSE. I have limited time for now and i will continue modding afterwards when i find the free time. Till then i will learn more about stuff from this forum and i am planning on following the step 2.2.9 guide but i have a lot of questions. For starters do i have to install all the mods that are listed there? I have a list of mods i want for my next playthrough and some i believe are conflicting with some of those and some the mods i just don't want. Is ENBoost really really needed and what if i want a mod that doesn't go with it? What is exactly this https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/11/?tab=2&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodfiles%2F%3Fid%3D11&pUp=1 ? Is it a mod like the reproccer but does another thing or similiar? When does it come into the modding timeline? Also i would like to get permission from people to post here a list of mods i am planning on installing and if anyone who has got the time and willingness to just take a look at the list and say "hey bro these 2 mods are packed in that one" or "pick one of these mods since they conflict" or "you need this XX mod in order for this to work" etc. Sorry if i have wasted anyone's time with this and i hope i will get permission to post the mod list. Cheers!
