  1. Welcome to STEP @random133771 The profile system that MO & MO2 use are identical, so you will be able to copy across your fully modded setup from MO to MO2 at any point.
  2. Assuming you have all the mods from the 'mods' folder backed up then there is no problem. Otherwise you'll need to download them again and install them afresh. Install MO Restore the profile from your backed up 'Profiles' folder Restore the mods from your backed up 'mods' folder Activate the mods in the left-hand pane and ensure they are in the correct order Run LOOT Enjoy the game
  3. When you examine Skyrim HD in MO via the 'Information -- Conflicts' you will see in the bottom pane all the mods that are "winning" in the conflict. If you want to ensure Skyrim HD wins, move it to a position with a higher priority number. This applies to any mod and is explained in the MO guide.
  4. Welcome to STEP @Phoenix1666 Can I suggest you start a new topic outlining the exact issue you are seeing and post a screenshot of the error along with your INI for MO? It's good to see that you did a search first for similar topics before posting but this is for a version that is very old, 1.3.6 compared to the current 1.3.11, and a lot has changed between these versions, as well as the fact it is specific to Skyproc patchers and the needed update that was current at the time.
  5. Actually Z there is a case to be made that multiple installs are beneficial. As the OP highlighted at times MO simply presents the left pane order in alphabetical order, usually when a backup is made but sometimes when you create a copy using the 'Profile Manager'. Reports have at times been made in the tracker but it still exists.
  6. Really glad you got it all sorted out. LAL should be fine, I don't recall anything as being a conflict.
  7. ... and now inexplicably I cannot get the installer to work for me anymore! Clearly there is an error in the way MO is parsing the script, perhaps the folder locations are not correctly called in the script itself. I'll create a report and maybe MO's FOMOD techie can examine it further. You can track it here.
  8. The fomod script for that mod is a C# script, not the more common XML, so no matter what your settings are in MO the external installer will ALWAYS be called. I have that mod working properly for my install so I'm not sure why it doesn't work for you but if it persists you can always install the optional file that applies the choices for you.
  9. Most of the GOG comments say it should be considered as the spiritual successor to Baldur's Gate II, which I adore, so I think I'll give it a try. Even at AUS$11.99 it's still a bargain.
  10. Agreed, savegames should not have assets baked into them, but since everything else about this case is odd, why not one more thing?
  11. Hmm... tempting. Anyone here played and can recommend it?
  12. If you're running LAL start a new game and choose the option that places you in Riverwood Inn and from there head over to the blacksmith. Let's assume that somehow the craftingmenu is being 'baked into' the prior save.
  13. Hmm... can you create a copy of this profile using MO's Profile manager and then disable everything except SkyUI and SkyUI-Away? I can't see any obvious issues with any mods you have installed. If the problem persists with a minimal setup then the culprit will lie elsewhere, perhaps there is a rogue *.swf installed in the Data directory. Are you completely satisfied with the ordering of the installed mods? A large portion of the modlist appears to be in alphabetical order, which isn't necessarily a problem, just curious.
  14. To just use the crafting menu the way I set it up was to hide all the *.swf files in MO except the craftingmenu.swf. The game shows all the SkyUI menus for bartering, spells, inventory, map etc. except it uses the original for the crafting. I'm really interested to see what is going on with your game because there aren't that many mods that touch these files so the chances of conflict a very small.
  15. I was following your topic in the Nexus forum and was frankly bemused that you could have an error like that. I am glad that you decided to ask here as it is much easier to get information diagnosed by all of us when it's in the same place. So, you are going to have to provide the contents of your profile folder, preferably zipped, or by posting it to a site like PasteBin or if you wish post each *.txt here in spoiler tags. (See the citizenship guidelines below on how.) To establish a baseline, I have installed the complete STEP 2.9.2 guide and then I have SkyUI-Away loading after everything else and ALL the original menus are now used along with SkyUI errors in game to remind me that I'm using the wrong *.swf files. This is the way it should happen for you, if SkyUI is not telling you there are different *.swf files loading then the game is not running the profile you imagine it is.
  16. I disagree with the idea of a 'quick start' guide for these reasons: Users don't read guides now, creating another one will just add to the list of unread guidesWe all ready have this information explained in just the right amount of detail in the MO guide. The few users that will go to the new 'quick start' guide will probably skip the full guide as they have just gotten their fix.So, to satisfy all the parties I'll add a few more screenshots that highlight some particularly obtuse mod packages. Nb. I will probably source them from all games because I know FO3 has some really bad ones. EDIT: I've added some animated gifs of some typical mods that need attention, more can be added if needed, and I have also edited the notice at the beginning of the STEP install guide. As the notice to become familiar with MO was obviously not being read, I added a warning above the notice block for all users to read them and then changed the MO notice to say examples of what to do can be found in the manual. Anything more than this, let me know.
  17. Well the mod does work on companions so they too will remove their helmets when talking to you. I also only play in 1st person but I still think it is a great idea, I tend to remove my helmet/cap/hat when entering buildings simply because that's what "I" would do. The author is also looking at making a version that puts on a hat depending on what you're doing. ie. your trading cap when you are trading, your skills cap for when you're crafting and of course your armour for combat.
  18. Hmm... I'm conflicted at the moment. As I have no games that need MO2 installed, I only have an installation just to provide support background, so can't really say whether the multi-game system is a winner. This also means I am very happy with my multiple installs of MO and find no problem with that. Either/or. Your call.
  19. You can change ALL the path settings in MO2 by using the 'Settings' -- 'Path' tab. Change the base directory in the first field entry at the top and then all the subsequent entries below will be relative to that. Or just change those by editing the specific field. ie. Change "Downloads" == %BASE_DIR%/downloads to point to the location on your system that you want.
  20. Please read the MO manual, specifically this section. Basically the behaviour can be summed up in this manner: If a file exists it is edited and the file is found in the mod that provided itIf no file exists and a new one is created then it will be found in 'Overwrite'
  21. Fixed.
  22. Can you clarify something please? You initially said: but later on you then say: Since the Injector version does not use the D3D9.dll there must be something else triggering your crash and your removing that file is only coincidental. Or did you forget to remove that file when you installed the Injector version, in which case we're back to square one. What ever the case, start a vanilla game with your ENB installed, from the desktop not via MO, and see if any issues arise, if not then the problem rests in one of the mods or an INI setting perhaps. Then we can do the "load by half" method and try to pinpoint which mod is causing it.
  23. Well something is hindering the process on those files but as it appears you have Steam, Skyrim and MO installed outside of any UAC folders, I'm not sure what may be doing that, possibly an overly zealous AV package? Truthfully if your game isn't experiencing any issues I'd just ignore it.
  24. Welcome to STEP @Xeir MO logs can be confusing at times until you look at them logically as though they are someone telling you things "as they happen"! So taking your logs here this is what MO is telling you: ERROR (22:34:52.0065): "I'm trying to delete a *.nif belonging to this plugin but something at the moment is stopping me." DEBUG (22:34:52.0072): "Tried again and now it's okay." INFO (22:34:52.0072): "Alright let's move onto the next task." Of specific interest is the time signature at the start of each line. Notice the very short interval between the first entry and the next when the task is completed. When you look at the same sort of detail with the next file, the *.dds, you may notice that the 'ERROR' was logged at almost the same instant that it was then resolved, according to the next two lines.
  25. You will need to enable 'Hidden/System Items' in your windows settings as that folder is a hidden system folder created by Windows. Depending on which version you are using the steps are different.
