Another CTD question - general reminder asked for
Aiyen replied to tillicollpase's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Where to start... First I added the spoiler tags! Thats a place to start! Next up... ini´s Revert to vanilla ini´s you do not need those multi core ones... the memory ones are pointless since you say you use ENBoost and it will handle all memory related stuff via its ini files. Black and purple meshes mean that you have run out of memory, which is a bit odd with ENBoost, but most likely means you have not set it up properly. Please do post you enblocal.ini inside spoiler tags. (Search for BBcode spoiler if you need help.) Just cleaning left and right is not always a bonus, but should not make the game more unstable. But it may break a few mods out there since they are constructed in a way the Tes5edit´s automated cleaning cannot handle. As for the mod list, then ask yourself if you really do need ASIS... it makes any list much more unstable. All those small combat mods you have each add a script to you which will make combat rather intensive script wise. Ask yourself if you cannot manage to equip arrows and a shield yourself for example. But overall it sounds like you have memory issues, which is again related to the fact that ENBoost and your inis are most likely messed up. And not saying anything bad about project stability... but if you followed all of that then that would also mean you installed cleanmem.. which is even more pointless to do even if you where not using ENBoost! Also most of the ini tweaks he suggests are not really required or improve anything. -
SKYRIMLE Skyrim Project Stability by GrandBulwark

Using bad settings in ENBoost, will produce a similar result actually. However there you can alter the values so the issue goes away, like I mentioned earlier. -
ACCEPTED Enhanced Blood Textures (by dDefinder)
Aiyen replied to frihyland's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Tip for the future. The Information selection when you right click in MO allow you to see what is overwritten. Assuming ofc. that you extracted the vanilla bsa´s. But those textures are the only things true enough. However its not like the textures are super good compared to the vanilla ones... but worth trying out. -
Then perhaps your changes and my changes can sit down and have a drink! Then in about 9 months there will be new changes! :o

For those that are unsure how to do this sorta stuff. Then here is a link to the .esp I have made. It is not entirely as he describes, since I do not entirely agree with it. What has been done is the following. I have removed the weight stuff, which also means that the script included can be deleted! (yay one less pointless script in the load order!) I cleaned it I adjusted the values of the coins to 2 for Ancient nords, and 4 for dwemer. I adjusted the required amount for coins into bars to 75 for both. But in turn I left the amounts you get as loot the same. Since it seems fair to me... the large amounts of coin only start to happen after level 20 or so at which point I do not think it is an exploit to get that amount. Also made sure that the coins can only be sold to general merchants, since I do not see why a food vendor would want to buy them... but that is just me. Its easy to add in other merchant types if you wish to do so.Â

SKYRIMLE Skyrim Project Stability by GrandBulwark
Aiyen replied to Agnusthemagi's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
If you do not have smooth gameplay with ENBoost then it is because the settings are not setup properly for your machine. This was a well known fact during the "beta" testing. Many people reported sluggish movement while panning etc. All of those issues where solved by adjusting the settings further. I also had the issue, but I solved it by increasing ReservedMemorySizeMb=256 -> 512 VideoMemorySizeMb=2048 -> 8192 In the enblocal.ini. Do note that increasing above 10Gb has no effect whatsoever since that is the limit Boris hardcoded in. I have a 2Gb VRAM card and 16Gb DRAM.... game works stable, and loading is smooth, and the only panning issues I have are due to FPS spikes during loading new cells which I can live with. Do note that depending on which card you have then some of the other settings might also require tweaking. Edit: Just forgot that you where there when all this happened so sorry if you knew already Garfink! :) -
You enable papyrus loggin in the skyrim.ini then it will save a log of all script executions as a .txt file in the same folder as the vanilla game stores the ini´s. Then you can open it and see which script based mods are acting up.

In terms of compatbility then its a bit hard to say that this is 100% compatible with that. As most of us have found out by now then there is a sort of complexity limit in the engine. We can run with nice textures now and still have a fairly complex game, but we still cannot get it all! Essentially I think it is vital to stress that certain packs are just not gonna be viable mixing even though they are compatible.
-
I personally hate improved horse step sounds with a fierce vengence.... it just sounds too loud and annoying. Clanking armor I like and have played with it since day 1. I think it fits to most of the heavy armors without going overboard. EEO I only use the textures as replacers, I do not use the .esp etc. since I do not think it is is required. Interresting NPC´s... might be trouble, might not be. Have not tried it since I am technically happy enough with the NPCs as they are, and would rather have other things. Armorizer have not tried or head much about it yet. Looking forward to seeing what you find out. As for the big mods.. they happen outside of skyrim and hence should be mostly stable, most major mods have patches for them. The only real issues I have taken note of is follower mods, but that is too be expected. And finally nice to hear its all going so well now! I am personally trying to get over my spell freeze issue. I removed a few more script mods, and reduced the decal sizes back down to 512 max, and blood down to 1k. So far it seems to have done the trick. While there is a bit of a quality loss, then its more vital to have stability then a temporary texture look super sharp.

Even if you did that and it showed something, then it is not certain that it would in other scenarios. Could be that quests interferes etc. Add in that every system is different and would most likely require its own specific values. Also without some sort of debugger then it would be a project of silly proportions.

We really should post up in big golden letters! Golden Rule of ini tweaking: LESS IS BETTER! then add in text... if you do not see any visual, or performance wise impact of the change then it most likely does not do anything constructive for your game anyways! I know some people claim that certain tweaks increase stability... but again this is in most cases just a "lucky" placebo effect. If people want better memory management then use ENBoost, since it is proven to be working, and every ini tweak for that has a noticeable impact on the game.

Something is causing ENB to create a terrible sunray effect
Aiyen replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in Post-Processing Support
Was about to correct there, but good to see you found out that no you cannot, since the methods conflict with each other on a driver level. -
Well regardless then all lighting overhauls would never make it into core. And Extended could have any of them without too much fuss. As long as there is a good selection of screens to compare them, so people can make up their own mind. I would always think that the best approach.

SKYRIMLE Skyrim Realistic Texture Overhaul Dragonborn
Aiyen replied to Smile44's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah it was more of an internal joke, because I know he works a lot, and types from work! :) Hats of to you hard working people! Almost wish it was me, being unemployed and at home all day is getting boring. -
Well you still have all the compatibility patches to make if it acts up all funny and stuff :P But glad to hear its still going strong! From the sound of it then you have played for so many hours now that its your own fault if you did not save properly :P

You are not annoying ... you just have too much spare time hehehe :P -
I am starting to think that you have just one post too many about this issue at this point thunderclam. And saying people are rude etc. is not polite, and please do not bring that sort of commentary into the threads. I can understand that you are frustrated about this issue, but it is not the mod authors problem. If it happened to alot of people with many different specs, then it would be, but that is not the case! Also he is not wrong when he says that its most likely a shader issue. But beyond that then you cannot expect him (or anyone else around these parts) to know specifically why this shader does not function properly on your machine. That would be a job for your driver developers. Overall then from what I can gather his responses are in line with what myself and others have already said to you in one of the other two or three posts containing this issue. That being said then please do not make any more threads about this. Rather bump the ones that already contain the issue!

As for the first part it can be summed up into this. If AV is acting up with missing textures... copy all the texture folders from the overwrite folder back into its mods folder.. the json files are still there. Then rerun. This will assign new formid´s etc. so they show ingame once again! The second part can be summed up to. Run WB and rebuild the bashed patch.. its is almost always the cause otherwise it will tell you what the cause is. This is all just assuming that you have a fairly stable list without much going in and out ofc. About the iron start out.... never experienced it in starting a new game. But guess its some bad initialization of some mods. Also tbh.. I do not see why ASIS is an essential must have. Its extra spawn feature is highly unstable, and entirely ruin immersion most of the time. The one with assigning new perks etc. is hardly noticeable on your build anyways, and also tends to cause issues. As I recall there is another mod that allows NPC´s to use potions so you do not need that feature in ASIS either. In geneal ASIS was a good idea way back, but it requires a serious update. But that is just my opinion about it.
-
I hope the best, so you can get playing! Its nice to have a success story to tell down the line! And the more stable build lists we can gather the better we can help others in the future!
-
Just did a double check of everything... seems I have been doing too many things to my list lately and it was not even that .esp that I removed for being empty. It is full of all the stuff it should include. Sometimes I think its amazing that I can even get the game to start with all the manual edits I make :s
-
Well what do ya know... guess I never really had it installed all along then since the .esp was empty. But the impact sites match the textures I selected... guess its one of those weird fomod bugs that happen every now and again. Oh well spiky ice is all I want!
-
If you use coc the game defaults you with a full set of iron armor and weapons etc. If you start a new game through helgen then you should start out entirely clean in rags.
-
lol properly a bad install way back, the only way I notice if the effects are there is due to the spiky ice when throwing ice spells. As long as that is there I am essentially happy, since that just looks too cool to be without.
-
Everytime you use the showracemenu option then your hands will be tied. Its part of the animation that is used in the char gen. Just jump, pull a weapon etc and it will use other animations again. Do the run test, like we discussed, and then also do a slightly tweaked one. Instead of going from falkreath to markarth, then go from falkreath to riften. If those are mostly stable then the game is most likely also going to be since then you have covered the most intense region as well. But it does sound promising with that list. Only other thing to do is to add compatiblity patches so that everything plays nice in the small detail. You could also ditch the footprint mod... it does add quite a script load since its on all actors during snowy regions.Â

The .esp has no info in it at all...at least mine did (was a bit puzzled about that tbh) not so I removed it. The shock and ice still looks the same since its just vanilla decal overwrites.
