I like empowered magics approach to the issue. Staggering is higher with higher level spells, but only on enemies that are already weakened. Hence the weaker they get the easier it is to keep them staggered. Also it balances out nicely when you have a mod that makes sure you can only drink a single magicka potion at a time.

Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
Aiyen replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Good idea Z. I was using a 4x fast travel time multiplier. Just removed it since... another useless .esp really. Sadly it does not remove the issue from me. :( -
pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
Aiyen replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Oh yeah I forgot to mention! Remember that the sum of chances have to equal 100% :P Which can make it kinda annoying with CoT since there are SO many individual weathers with really low percentage chances. -

Since I do use my own ENB then I have reduced said issue to a bare minimum. But yes it is there, its part of the fantasy setting that its meant to invoke. I personally also found the saturation level for many of the weathers a bit too high. But after many months of tweaking and rewriting HLSL code I have tamed the beast! I actually manually checked and tested every single weather in CoT... and its patches! Currently I am in the process of adding the vanilla weathers back in since they also look decent now. If you want to isolate different weathers, then use STATUS from mannyGT... it will provide you with the weatherID in question. CoT is built in blocks, hence most ID´s come in batches that all share the same settings but have slightly varying cloud textures applied. For example xxx5814(0-9). With xxx depending on the load order.  Talking about that then lets move on. This is easy! Open tes5edit. Load in CoT. Open the Regions tab. Every weather for every region is there, along with the chance of it showing. The higher the value the higher the chance! If you have special favorites then you can just add those there. Also you can remove the ones you never want to see. Or simply remove them from the weathers tab... however then the region still call for a weather that is not there, and hence you need to remove it from both locations in order to minimize conflicts. -
Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim

Actually yeah.. I can vouch for that. ILS only happen if there is no image, or its the alchemy table. If its the dark elf then it loads. Very odd. -
Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
Aiyen replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
1: Can reproduce if I start a new game using coc to the docks, and then try to travel back and forth. 2: My own list. Every conflict etc. have been manually edited out hence why the list looks a little bit strange. I use some mods just for templates since they edit what I want to edit... hence I do not have to go to the CK to make my changes. 3: Here is the plugin text from MO. 4: Issue is there with and without ENB(oost). However a bit better success rate without. Less stuff to load I guess. 5: Heavily modifed CoT with patches, and extra stuff, etc. No conflicts in since they are all ironed out. 6: Yes.. ELFX base, with heavily modified Relighting Skyrim template for all the other cells that ELFX does not touch yet. Skyrim.ini Skyrimprefs.ini That should about cover it! :) -
SKYRIMLE Expanded Snow Systems - CoT by JonusL2D
Aiyen replied to EssArrBee's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
If you do not have dawnguard and install an .esp that requires it as master your game will simply not start. Hence do not install mods that require a given DLC, since they include values that are unique to that DLC. -
Yeah the good ol "quit to menu and reload" seems to be the safest bet other then reducing mod complexity. Of course making sure you use a minimum amount of scripts to have the play experience you want is also a must.

Ugh. Another weird glitch that I'm sure no one else has ever gotten
Aiyen replied to DoYouEvenModBro's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Its obviously a mesh issue, and those we can only solve up to the extent of identifying them and notifying the author so he/she can fix it. So in terms of supporting it here, then it is solved! At least in my opinion! :) -
Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
Aiyen replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Okay sad news! I have tried to move the loading point to many locations etc. I even tried to move the entire boat etc. to dawnstar and a few other locations along the coast. The issue is the same. There is just a very limited success rate when going back to skyrim. At least if you go back and forth in one go. The best cases are if you quit to menu or have a fresh loaded game before you try to get back... In that case then it might be a bit better if the load point is moved into another cell, but nothing conclusive, and frankly then it is getting a bit tiresome to deal with. I also have other projects going on atm. So for now I am just going to leave it alone unless someone has some splendid idea to try out. -

wanted Installing ASIS and SkyRe with some additional stuff
Aiyen replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
Fixing casting costs is simple in tes5edit. Find the spell, and there is a value for how much it costs, just alter the value and save the .esp and voila. You can also add perk influences to each spell in the same formID as I recall. -
Skyrim Flora Overhaul Grass Texture/Meshes Help
Aiyen replied to Deathwing514's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Gonna have to remember to save my custom textures before I update! But nice, since the tundra have long been a rather bad eye sore. -
Its a mod that adds new spawns to the game, hence it is potentially a cause for more CTD´s. Just like any other mod that alter or increase the amount of spawning. If you have an already massive list then this might be the proverbial drop, or it might not. Should be fairly easy to test out on your own though... Install run about in a few forested areas for a while.

The reason is still simply that its easier to just write a guide telling you to just overwrite, rather then writing a guide that says which individual textures you need to pick. And since nobody really have issues with space these days then I do not see an issue with it. If we had to do it "right" and write up every single texture from every single pack then we would never get anything done other then that. And the guide would just explode in irrelevant information.

Nice, sound promising!

A Comparison of Water Mods
Aiyen replied to TechAngel85's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
RW2 wins for me because the textures just have a more finely tuned set of details. Most noticeable when the sun is shining down I think. It just helps make it much harder to notice the repeatable pattern the especially vanilla suffers from on larger bodies. The only location what I think that water looks better and the texture fit more is in riften. -
Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
Aiyen replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Well I have a 50% solution... on my mod list. Moving the maker away from the docks works... in certain locations. I found that it works in dawnstar every time. Placing the marker on the ship there. However that is rather immersion breaking since all quest info etc. says its at windhelm. However I have not yet found any near windhelm where it works every time. I have found locations where I can get a 50% success rate, hence you have to quit to menu and reload before going back. At least with my mod list. I will try finding at more stable location, and once I do then just move the entire boat to that location, and make a new small dock there... at long as its in the general vicinity of windhelm then immersion is not too badly hurt. There might be a few issues with realism, but any who have actually noticed the size of the boats relative to the amount of water etc. would have seen its impossible for them to even sail all the way into windhelm regardless. So that is of minor concern to me. -
Infinite loading screen when fast travelling from Solstheim to Skyrim
Aiyen replied to DaBozz's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Small update: Got more or less every detail covered in how to move the loading spot. Sadly it cannot just be moved into a random interior inside of the tamriel worldspace, since then it is not loaded yet. I have not yet found a way to actually get it too load but dunno if it will make much difference. I can move the loadspace inside of windhelm city, since it has its own worldspace, but sadly that does not remove the ILS. Gonna try to move the load marker to other locations in tamriel world space and see if that helps. Might also have to adjust some dialogue options or immersion get ruined but that should be simple enough to do. If it works then I am happy! -
Convert it to jpg with about 95% quality and it should be quite small... I am not looking for all the fancy color details.. they most likely do not matter anyways in this case.
-
Guess testing it out is the best thing to do! Keeping a backup just in case then. About the quest... just get its ID and you can restart or finish it via console.
-
Start a new game... works everytime. If you are really keen on saving all your stuff and progress, then all of that can technically be done though the console... you could even make a batch file with all the commands.... might take a while I know. But ultimately a big mod like Wet n cold is going to be a pain to update into an existing game.
