SKYRIMLE Realistic Lighting Overhaul (by The Realistic Lighting Team)
toshaka replied to Kelmych's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Hello all! RLO 4.0.7 is released today. Get RLO here. Greetings from the RLO Team -
Yes it is alot better in the next version. Also RLO in combination with CoT made it a bit worse, but that should be less with 4.0.7. And should be ok when CoT 3 comes out.
-
The reason exteriors look so diffirent from interiors for RLO is cos of the vanilla weathers that desaturate every light type. All the lights outside are the exact same color we do for RLO interiors. If you use CoT its will be the right color like when go inside. Also during the day cos of the sunlight etc lights will look diffirent too, thats also the case in real life.
-
Well I hope CoT 3 will be a good and nice upgrade. As far as I know its rewritten and fixes alot of bugs. And is gonna work good together with our RLO!! RLO is already ready for CoT 3 with now good working adaptive interiors, jjc71 said he fixed it too in CoT. So hopefully no more bright interiors during a dark night with storm :P
-
No not forgotten, thats a base feature of RLO and in every plugin. (atleast it should be)
-
Well that is ofcourse personal taste :P Tho i probably have a biased opinion now since I joined the RLO team. For version 4.0.7 there are alot of changes. Biggest addon would be Dawngaurd and Major Cities Exteriors. And alot of fixes and changes in Major Cities Interiors. Weathers have been dropped in favour of CoT 3.0. (saves us more time for the rest) Dragonborn is on the table too but not sure if that one will be ready for 4.0.7 release. Dungeons is still being worked on since its quite big :P

Not Another Colored Map Icon Mod is updated -
Shame i as an european cant participate in that :(
-
Not bad :) And for us non APU users it has exactly the same images just the name on top still says Catalyst Control Center and not vision :P
-
The major text packs like SRO and SHD etc dont have msn ones so dont have to catch both. Just deselect all, select *_n.dds and apply and select and do the same for *_msn.dds, that way you can do both at once. And yes both options (dont forget to set them back afterwards)

Yes there :) both to 1024x1024 dont forget to set them back afterwards -
Neo's ddsopt settings are the same as step as I recall. For the laptop just do the same as on the pc and try just to halfsize the normal maps (*_n.dds and *_msn.dds) of the major text packs (mostly make it 1024x1024) As for wich, SRO, SHD, Skyrim HD 2K and AV if you use it would atleast be the best idea. (for me these were enough) And you should do it in each mod folder (dont run ddsopt thru MO)

I agree here with Neo, I got a 2GB card I never CTD lately with full 2k texture packs... But with half size normal maps the game certianly used less vram and was more stable and way less stutter. -
SKYRIMLE [ LIGHTING FIX ] Relighting Skyrim - Dawnguard Edition by --JawZ--

True true, but fable is way more fantasy like then the elder scrolls really is, they have more realistic thing to it :P I did play Fable 3 all the way thru tho, loved it. -
Ah ok that I got wrong then :) Well I use the ini tweak anyway and I love the summer and the new regular version, both work well for me without a problem.

Well skyrealism enb can be used with the newer versions (the 2.3 version of it) about the fps... on my machine I get way more fps with 0.119 then all above it, somehow it drops 10-20fps in alot of places compared to 119 -

That looks kinda very nice!! Beth tents to make so many fake lights. I think they just do that cos of the engine limitation and to not get everything too dark cos not everyone likes that. -
You dont need the fix anymore for sure. If you dont use the ini tweak you still see all grasses just less spawns, max 3 without the ini tweak. (less punish for the machine :P )

The new SFO doesnt need the punish your machine anymore, just like the summer edition. It is all inclusive now. Only option that really matters maybe to some people is remove the green aspen. @Neo  You arent gonna use one of the steps enb's? Like skyrealism? -

Yeah I just raid it lol *oops* Yeah RLO is indeed an overhaul just like you said. Talk with sydney almost everyday lately lol, man I can understand why he get stressed out sometimes from comments. So many hours and then that while it is in the faq :P Staying on topic tho. Relighting Skyrim is good in its own way (I am not downing your mod at all, would never do that ;) ) Just that RLO is more my taste. Edit: Shame sydney wont come here on these forums, but can understand he has alot to deal with already -

Well I knew that about RLO lol, since I am helping sydney with it in sense of testing and talking about it and with bugs. Thats why I mentioned to have more choices for lighting instead of just one. Cos none of them actually do the same. Edit: Be adviced tho that the legacy weathers make nights alot darker, without them they get alot more brighter and with CoT its brighter too. Also the legacy weathers wont have support, they are just ported to be compatible with RLO and have atleast something for weathers till the new ones come out. -
