  1. I went through all the scripts that I had and couldnt find what you mentioned, do you mean wrye?
  2. Kesta, you speak of lazy authors, heres another one Its riddled with wild edits for mods that have not and probably wont be released until a script extender is a thing. What gets me is I brought this to the authors attention but was marked as "Not a bug" It also has some random injected record that definitely isnt supposed to be injected into USSEP because it has the prefix "CRF" Now Im inclined to circumvent the copyrights out there(xEdit Script?) to provide an decluttered version that does exactly what it says on the tin, better sorting Really DoubleYou, I find SSE to be WAY further ahead in the "things that cannot be fixed by modders" aspect. If the original mods werent a thing people would be much happier.
  3. No way am I touching that, nmm is okay for small load orders that are mainly bsa. As for the texture its just weird as they usually don't cause these sorts of issues. All I can say is, "huh".
  4. I actually just wrote something for the map markers guy, yes I had a good laugh. I want a new UI, I don't care about all the fancy features of skyui, if I had the setup, I'd consider rolling my own solution. Also the Ck beta is bs, should release the same day because apparently it has some magical updating thing Also the water doesn't flow as natural as I like, if I had the Ck, I'd take a look into a solution Also, how does one use nmm, what is the overwrite order. I'm not a new user but this is hidden and it should be something users are very aware of. Although, I enable stuff and it just works, no need to add random applications to a list to get them to work. It still would be nice to have the ability to add launch args to the recognized executables
  5. I mean, try it, coc riverwood... Im curious if its just me. Its one of those ones where I just shrug. The archive I got this from was Vivid Landscapes - All in One - Loose Files 2048-49344-2-8.7z I don't wait for the whole approval thing, half the mods are littered with errors which I guess is because USSEP is currently not marked as an ESM and if people forget, the CK can screw things pretty bad.
  6. So vivid Landscapes cause a CTD I tracked one texture down which was "textures\architecture\farmhouse\wovenfence01_n.dds" Why? I have no idea, Im not a texture guy. Apparently landscape now has some sort of specular map which is not the best...
  7. You know what, I was hoping they would incorporate some of the really useful SKSE functions and libraries out there. Now what I want to see is enderal's performance because it really pushed the older one as far as it could.
  8. Well, if what I said is indeed fact then I guess so. EDIT: here is some info on SSE textures
  9. So you know that whole discussion that skyrim is limited by cpu for some reason(time expensive stuff), SSE I dont get the same 20 fps BS, I get well over 150 fps with JK full. Yes, it wasnt updated but I was just seeing if the added objects would impact the framerate the same which it didnt as it maxed my gpu. Yes, I am happy with SSE now.
  10. As far as I know nothing with the textures and script systems changed or at least nothing was touched that would break anything.
  11. So, I've been poking around as I can't seem to get into it right now and found some interesting things. You still need to cap your fps, if you don't some odd things happen like the water doesnt render properly and the spawning of actors do weird things. One thing I should mention, I could get well over 150 fps in markarth, something that the original wasnt able to reach, so it seems like they fixed some of the really bad issues. The shadow striping is still around but it is so subtle and the lines are very tiny that I was only really able to pick it up under specific conditions. The sting size for the archive lists doesnt appear to be limited to 255 char because sResourceArchiveList2 is 259 chars. "sArchiveToLoadInMemoryList" could be really fun to poke around with if its real. What if I load them all in memory...? EDIT: It doesnt like some archives but the textures eat about 16GB of memory, totally worth it
  12. I completely agree with kesta, water is still terrible, shadows now update in real-time and is better than skge implementation, in my opinion. The snow safer is just sparkles.
  13. everyone gets it at the exact same time :P Just because out time zone is different doesnt mean we are the center, we're to the left remember?
  14. Apparently BSAs cannot be compressed either but I don't have a direct quote. Maybe the 5GB limit is something to do with Microsoft being worried about texture mods because that is the bulk of my LO, 30 something GB of them. Some textures are redundant but they're still there. EDIT: Yes the game unlocks in a couple hours, check your steam library, preload should be there.
  15. Thats what I'm getting at, its blown way out of proportion and doesn't really apply with modern systems with certain fixes being used. Merged Topics Really, it looks the same as the original. The only thing that I guess they did was to increase the ground cover to hide the hard landscape transitions if they reduced the number of landscape textures per quad like they did with FO4 As for "fixed" shadows, if it falls in line with FO4, it going to still be terrible but with a different set of problems. If I remember correctly FO4 did still have shadow striping in the distance and had a horrific transition line near the player where it toggled to higher resolution, similar to that of what Skyrim Reloaded does. I swear the water looks identical to the original. It feels like its a scrolling textures that lacks depth. After using DDL, this is a step back. Im probably cynical but its a re-release and I expect it to be visually more impressive and be more stable.
  16. I think its funny how people out right refused to use the HDDLC because they claim it caused problems. Snip from LotD Wow, I don't understand the shear hostility because ENBoost is a thing. I guess they have no way of avoiding it now.
  17. unless you installed it, everything is portable.
  18. Other than deleting the MO directory, there isnt any that I can think of.
  19. Totally with grant, be selfish with guides because they -and users- are sometimes a pain. For some reason, I felt the need to play oblivion after I'm done with the bioshock series but I don't know if I still feel the same way. When I do get back into it, I'll probably make a "Pretty Much Vanilla" version as I do want that to be a series. If you have something different to offer than go for it. If there are going to be a similar set of mods then maybe we can work something out. If you need any help with the wiki whether it be with beginner or advanced, I can either help out or point you in a direction. If you desire a custom template, I'm up for a challenge. Just so you know, don't rely on the CSS extension, its going away and the wiki is being intermittently slow which can make minor edits trivial sometimes. If I knew how to compile OBSE, I could make a hack job for Mod Organizer, but that is currently out of my knowledge.
  20. Just wondering would the new solution be viable for Oblivion OBSE plugins(.dll) The current MO solution is to use the script extender but then the other plugins never hook because they dont exist yet. One solution is to change the way OBSE works which I think is happening but I havent checked on it in a month. The other solution is to physically copy the dlls into the data folder which defeats the purpose of MO. Another question what about cross game support. The most common one is Tale of Two Wastelands which is FO3 in FNV. MO outright blocks downloads because it doesnt match the game mode. The reasons make sense but it'd be nice to have all the mods like to the proper nexus pages.
  21. I don't like holding grudges but NMM had some issues in its early days. I tried to use NMM but I didn't the UX. Maybe Tannin will make the NMM more like MO and less like NMM. Hopefully he is able to make NMM become as feature rich as MO, but until that happens, I'll be sticking with Wrye's BAIN for x64.
  22. Really? Because the image looks completely normal. There are more caves than just blackreach that use those models, most habit falmer. You could try using higher res or less compressed textures. I think the normal map affect that but I do not know.
  23. I have more frustration with win 7 rather than win 10. I mean win 10's issues are pretty funny because they usually dont make any sense or is an issue that should have been fixed in the beta. I attempted to go back to win 7 and found it doesnt support some of my hardware which Im fine with as the win 7 install is terrible, it takes ages and kept locking up or forgetting my usb's exist. Trying to get win 7 and win 10 to play nicely but that wasnt going to happen due to how I wanted the OS's to coexist. Trust me I spent literal days(12+ hrs each) trying to do this, it just wasnt going to happen. The install that I got from win7 was very inconsistent from install to install, sometimes skyrim would fire right up other time it would CTD, I solved every one and none were identical. The few times that skyrim worked, the game riddled with stutter(even at 60) and had an overall lower performance ~33% reduction. After swapping to win 10 with similar drivers and software, it performed better even with the 4064 limit which at the time I was either really close to or I was hitting. Honestly, I couldnt tell you why but its what happened and was consistent with any other working installs. Im just glad win10 can boot up every time without any complaints, win 7 boot would randomly break in my experiences. A few things, win7 doesnt fully support UEFI or NVMe SSDs which makes it pretty useless for me.
  24. For the most part the only mysterious thing I've had happen was the whole WDDM update that broke a few dx 9 games. I've had several issues but most of them were completely my fault and were caused by something that I did. I have had files show up and report that they exist but they actually are no longer there. Lesson learned: Windows 7 just doesn't like to work with the win 10 system volume, vise versa. I have been locked out of files before. I do know the tricks but I literally couldn't view the file, much less edit the perms. Lesson learned: Don't run things as Admin anymore. Theres more but those are the big ones. Every now any then windows does this really annoying update in the background which causes some applications to break in some interesting ways. If I come across any weirdness, I just restart as it isnt too much trouble anymore.
  25. I don't use mo 2.0, I feel that it needs a little more work. There are a few things that could be going on. The oblivion launcher may be hooking by the normal mod organizer method which then breaks when the game is launched. This can be fixed by using the script extender hook instead. This places an obse plugin into the real data folder. Does the file not exist?
